Još jedan festival demokracije je prošao, izborni reflektori se gase, a stvar u svoje ruke preuzima Državno izborno povjerenstvo. Poneka boca šampanjca ostala je neotvorena, dok su s druge strane zabilježene i neke neočekivane radosti. Poneki favorit iskliznuo je s tračnica, mjestimično su zavladala nova lica, neki su se održali u sedlu, a ponegdje će se stvari rješavati u drugom krugu.

O kvaliteti ponuđenih kandidata i kandidacijskih lista i te kako se dade razglabati, ali nitko se ne može požaliti na kvantitetu: ukupno se na ovim lokalnim izborima kandidiralo čak 56.560 kandidata, što je gotovo dva posto punoljetnog stanovništva Hrvatske.

Na meniju su bile 104 političke stranke, uz nepregledno mnoštvo nezavisnih kandidata, što političku scenu svakako čini pluralnijom, a i lijepo je znati da toliko građana Hrvatske pršti od samopouzdanja i misli da je kadro upravljati svojim gradovima i općinama.

Građani koji su jučer izišli na izbore sad će imati četiri godine da provjere jesu li ispravno odlučili, a od onih koji su apstinirali od izbora bilo bi pristojno da sljedeće četiri godine ne komentiraju politiku u društvu i ne „grintaju“ na izabrane predstavnike vlasti, jer jučer je bio taj dan kad je trebalo komentirati i izraziti svoje (ne)zadovoljstvo.

U ovako strukturiranom društvu izbori su – uz prosvjede i demonstracije – jedini način da građani izravno utječu na svoju budućnost i da političku kastu učine ranjivom, pa čak i kad se sloboda izbora svede na “izbor manjeg zla“.

Još jedan festival demokracije je prošao, izborni reflektori se gase, a stvar u svoje ruke preuzima Državno izborno povjerenstvo. Poneka boca šampanjca ostala je neotvorena, dok su s druge strane zabilježene i neke neočekivane radosti. Poneki favorit iskliznuo je s tračnica, mjestimično su zavladala nova lica, neki su se održali u sedlu, a ponegdje će se stvari rješavati u drugom krugu.

O kvaliteti ponuđenih kandidata i kandidacijskih lista i te kako se dade razglabati, ali nitko se ne može požaliti na kvantitetu: ukupno se na ovim lokalnim izborima kandidiralo čak 56.560 kandidata, što je gotovo dva posto punoljetnog stanovništva Hrvatske.

Na meniju su bile 104 političke stranke, uz nepregledno mnoštvo nezavisnih kandidata, što političku scenu svakako čini pluralnijom, a i lijepo je znati da toliko građana Hrvatske pršti od samopouzdanja i misli da je kadro upravljati svojim gradovima i općinama.

Građani koji su jučer izišli na izbore sad će imati četiri godine da provjere jesu li ispravno odlučili, a od onih koji su apstinirali od izbora bilo bi pristojno da sljedeće četiri godine ne komentiraju politiku u društvu i ne „grintaju“ na izabrane predstavnike vlasti, jer jučer je bio taj dan kad je trebalo komentirati i izraziti svoje (ne)zadovoljstvo.

U ovako strukturiranom društvu izbori su – uz prosvjede i demonstracije – jedini način da građani izravno utječu na svoju budućnost i da političku kastu učine ranjivom, pa čak i kad se sloboda izbora svede na “izbor manjeg zla“.
