Bivši predsjednik Republike Hrvatske Stjepan Mesić u četvrtak je u Puli podupro kandidaturu Borisa Miletića za istarskog župana te Elene Puh Belci za gradonačelnicu Pule ocjenjujući da je Istra "uvijek prednjačila u civilizacijskom smislu, a otkad se Hrvatska osamostalila, još i više".

"Istra zaslužuje Borisa i Boris zaslužuje Istru", poručio je Mesić i dodao da je Istra uvijek prednjačila u civilizacijskom smislu, a otkad se Hrvatska osamostalila, još i više.

"Istra je i u gospodarskom smislu napravila puno. Uzmemo li u obzir divlju i kriminalnu privatizaciju, Istra predstavlja oazu u Hrvatskoj", rekao je Mesić, dodajući da je Istra "puno toga preživjela i napravila, a što mnogi u Hrvatskoj nisu učinili".

Ustvrdivši kako je Istra u mnogočemu pokazala da je primjer, pa i primjer cijeloj Europi, bivši hrvatski predsjednik Stjepan Mesić je rekao kako se "Istra borila za ono što tek očekuje Europu".

"Europa će biti kontinent regija, a Istra je u tom smislu napravila više iskoraka. U tom smislu ja se zahvaljujem Istrijanima, odnosno svim građanima Istre koji su krenuli upravo tim putem da se gradi jedna prijateljska suradnja sa svim regijama. I u ovom segmentu smatram da Istra prednjači", poručio je Mesić i dodao kako je to poziv i drugima da prerastu granice i da surađuju jer, kako je rekao, "tek onda možemo očekivati da će proces mira zahvatiti i druge".

"Znam da bi Boris Miletić pobijedio i da ja nisam došao, ali došao sam jer smo prijatelji i da vidi da sam na njegovoj strani, jer on to zaslužuje. Mi se konačno moramo okrenuti budućnosti, a Boris je za mene budućnost i zato ima moju punu podršku", rekao je Mesić i dodao da je predsjednik IDS-a "politički dobro orijentiran, pravi antifašist, za istinsku demokraciju i za razvoj Istre".

IDS-ov kandidat za istarskog župana Boris Miletić novinarima je izjavio kako je "velika čast i zadovoljstvo imati tako velikog prijatelja Istre" te je Mesiću zahvalio na velikoj potpori.

Komentirajući posljednje medijske sukobe hrvatskog predsjednika Zorana Milanovića i premijera Andreja Plenkovića, Mesić je rekao kako mu "sve to izgleda kao dva jarca na brvnu, gdje svaki drži tu svoju poziciju, ali to ne znači da će preći na drugu stranu".

"Slažem se i dobro je da čovjek kaže ono što misli, ali sad je došlo vrijeme da se napravi jedan iskorak. U Hrvatsku moraju dolaziti državnici s kojima se može uspostaviti veza koja može koristiti hrvatskom gospodarstvu", istaknuo je Mesić i dodao kako se upravo "zbog gospodarskih razloga mora napraviti iskorak".

"Dobro je da ljudi znaju tko šta zna jer su se do sada predsjednik i premijer dokazivali što oni sve znaju i vidjelo se da su to intelektualci koji puno znaju. Treba sad vidjeti što će oni napraviti jer oni su izabrani ne zato da pričaju ljudima šta oni znaju, nego da naprave taj korak koji će ljudima osigurati bolji život. To njih zanima. Predugo su se zadržali na međusobnom hrvanju i dokazivanju. To je prošlost. Sad treba napraviti ono što je korisno za ovu zemlju", zaključio je Mesić.

Bivši predsjednik Republike Hrvatske Stjepan Mesić u četvrtak je u Puli podupro kandidaturu Borisa Miletića za istarskog župana te Elene Puh Belci za gradonačelnicu Pule ocjenjujući da je Istra "uvijek prednjačila u civilizacijskom smislu, a otkad se Hrvatska osamostalila, još i više".

"Istra zaslužuje Borisa i Boris zaslužuje Istru", poručio je Mesić i dodao da je Istra uvijek prednjačila u civilizacijskom smislu, a otkad se Hrvatska osamostalila, još i više.

"Istra je i u gospodarskom smislu napravila puno. Uzmemo li u obzir divlju i kriminalnu privatizaciju, Istra predstavlja oazu u Hrvatskoj", rekao je Mesić, dodajući da je Istra "puno toga preživjela i napravila, a što mnogi u Hrvatskoj nisu učinili".

Ustvrdivši kako je Istra u mnogočemu pokazala da je primjer, pa i primjer cijeloj Europi, bivši hrvatski predsjednik Stjepan Mesić je rekao kako se "Istra borila za ono što tek očekuje Europu".

"Europa će biti kontinent regija, a Istra je u tom smislu napravila više iskoraka. U tom smislu ja se zahvaljujem Istrijanima, odnosno svim građanima Istre koji su krenuli upravo tim putem da se gradi jedna prijateljska suradnja sa svim regijama. I u ovom segmentu smatram da Istra prednjači", poručio je Mesić i dodao kako je to poziv i drugima da prerastu granice i da surađuju jer, kako je rekao, "tek onda možemo očekivati da će proces mira zahvatiti i druge".

"Znam da bi Boris Miletić pobijedio i da ja nisam došao, ali došao sam jer smo prijatelji i da vidi da sam na njegovoj strani, jer on to zaslužuje. Mi se konačno moramo okrenuti budućnosti, a Boris je za mene budućnost i zato ima moju punu podršku", rekao je Mesić i dodao da je predsjednik IDS-a "politički dobro orijentiran, pravi antifašist, za istinsku demokraciju i za razvoj Istre".

IDS-ov kandidat za istarskog župana Boris Miletić novinarima je izjavio kako je "velika čast i zadovoljstvo imati tako velikog prijatelja Istre" te je Mesiću zahvalio na velikoj potpori.

Komentirajući posljednje medijske sukobe hrvatskog predsjednika Zorana Milanovića i premijera Andreja Plenkovića, Mesić je rekao kako mu "sve to izgleda kao dva jarca na brvnu, gdje svaki drži tu svoju poziciju, ali to ne znači da će preći na drugu stranu".

"Slažem se i dobro je da čovjek kaže ono što misli, ali sad je došlo vrijeme da se napravi jedan iskorak. U Hrvatsku moraju dolaziti državnici s kojima se može uspostaviti veza koja može koristiti hrvatskom gospodarstvu", istaknuo je Mesić i dodao kako se upravo "zbog gospodarskih razloga mora napraviti iskorak".

"Dobro je da ljudi znaju tko šta zna jer su se do sada predsjednik i premijer dokazivali što oni sve znaju i vidjelo se da su to intelektualci koji puno znaju. Treba sad vidjeti što će oni napraviti jer oni su izabrani ne zato da pričaju ljudima šta oni znaju, nego da naprave taj korak koji će ljudima osigurati bolji život. To njih zanima. Predugo su se zadržali na međusobnom hrvanju i dokazivanju. To je prošlost. Sad treba napraviti ono što je korisno za ovu zemlju", zaključio je Mesić.
