Na sjednici Vijeća Hrvatske akademske udruge - Čovjek nadasve, prof. dr. sc. Predrag Matvejević nominiran je za Osobu dijaloga - osobu godine za 2009. godinu.

Predrag Matvejević je po sudu članova Vijeća osoba koja se tijekom dugog vremenskog razdoblja izlagala i zalagala za obranu temeljnih ljudskih vrijednosti i kad se radilo o svjetonazorski različitim ljudskim opredjeljenjima i političko-ideološkim izborima.

Njegova otvorena pisma iz 1985. i 1986. godine očit su primjer takvog postupanja. Stao je u obranu uznika Franje Tuđmana, ali i Vlade Gotovca, kao i drugih “disidenata” u onim vremenima.

Godine 1986. je pisao s puno opreza, što je razumljivo, da Josip Broz Tito podnese ostavku. Predrag Matvejević je kao kozmopolit ostvario zavidnu stručnu literaturnu ostavštinu.

Svojim djelovanjem Predrag Matvejević je iskazao da mu je bliska kultura slobodnog i ravnopravnog dijaloga, uz poštovanje ljudskog dostojanstva i prava na različitost kao preduvjeta za suživot usprkos brojnim individualnim razlikama.

Čast nam je i ponosni smo što će se ime Predraga Matvejevića naći među dosadašnjim laureatima kao što su Ivan Supek, Franjo Komarica, Vlado Gotovac, Dalaj-lama, Hans Küng, Shimon Peres i drugi - navodi se u priopćenju Udruge, koje je potpisao dr. sc. don Ivan Grubišić.

Na sjednici Vijeća Hrvatske akademske udruge - Čovjek nadasve, prof. dr. sc. Predrag Matvejević nominiran je za Osobu dijaloga - osobu godine za 2009. godinu.

Predrag Matvejević je po sudu članova Vijeća osoba koja se tijekom dugog vremenskog razdoblja izlagala i zalagala za obranu temeljnih ljudskih vrijednosti i kad se radilo o svjetonazorski različitim ljudskim opredjeljenjima i političko-ideološkim izborima.

Njegova otvorena pisma iz 1985. i 1986. godine očit su primjer takvog postupanja. Stao je u obranu uznika Franje Tuđmana, ali i Vlade Gotovca, kao i drugih “disidenata” u onim vremenima.

Godine 1986. je pisao s puno opreza, što je razumljivo, da Josip Broz Tito podnese ostavku. Predrag Matvejević je kao kozmopolit ostvario zavidnu stručnu literaturnu ostavštinu.

Svojim djelovanjem Predrag Matvejević je iskazao da mu je bliska kultura slobodnog i ravnopravnog dijaloga, uz poštovanje ljudskog dostojanstva i prava na različitost kao preduvjeta za suživot usprkos brojnim individualnim razlikama.

Čast nam je i ponosni smo što će se ime Predraga Matvejevića naći među dosadašnjim laureatima kao što su Ivan Supek, Franjo Komarica, Vlado Gotovac, Dalaj-lama, Hans Küng, Shimon Peres i drugi - navodi se u priopćenju Udruge, koje je potpisao dr. sc. don Ivan Grubišić.
