Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava izjavio je u petak u Vukovaru, uoči svečanosti otvorenja vukovarskog Vodotornja, kako osobno nema prevelikih emocija, ali da s obzirom na značaj Vukovara u obrani Hrvatske, osjeća ponos i zadovoljstvo.

"Nema tu prevelikih emocija jer je previše zadataka još pred nama i nove utakmice slijede. Izvršen je još jedan zadatak i idemo dalje", izjavio je Penava. Napominje da je obnovom Vodotornja, teško oštećenog u Domovinskom ratu, izvršen jedan veliki zadatak "koji je do sada žuljao".

"Nastavljamo ispunjavati zadaće koje nas i dalje žuljaju. Nažalost, u gradu Vukovaru ih ima puno, ali definitivno smo se ovom pričom odužili i zgradi Vodotornja i gradu Vukovaru, i na neki simboličan način i svim braniteljima grada Vukovara. I naravno da smo u tom smislu ponosni, da čovjek s obzirom na značaj Vukovara u obrani Republike Hrvatske u Domovinskom ratu osjeća ponos; i da su stvari u ovom dijelu Vukovara onakve kakve trebaju biti", kazao je gradonačelnik Penava.

Svečanim programom uz nastupe brojnih umjetnika, u Vukovaru je u petak navečer bez nazočnosti građana, otvoreno memorijalno područje "Vukovarski vodotoranj-simbol hrvatskog zajedništva" u sklopu kojega središnje mjesto zauzima obnovljeni Vodotoranj, simbol obrane grada u Domovinskom ratu.

Nakon što je himnu Republike Hrvatske izvela klapa Hrvatske ratne mornarice (HRM) "Sveti Juraj", državni stijeg na vrh vodotornja, na koji je u agresiji bivše JNA i srpskih paravojnih postrojba 1991. palo 640 projektila, podigao Krešimir Đalto, sin pokojnog vukovarskog branitelja Hrvoja Đalte koji je s, također pokojnim braniteljem Ivanom Ivanikom, podizao zastavu na Vodotornju svaki put kada bi ona za vrijeme napada na Vukovar, bila srušena.

Zbog epidemioloških prilika vukovarske gradske vlasti odlučile su svečano otvorenje Vodotornja održati bez nazočnosti građana, uz online prijenos na Facebooku i lokalnim televizijskim postajama. Građani će Vodotoranj moći posjetiti od subote.

U obnovu vukovarskog Vodotornja uloženo je 46 milijuna kuna, od kojih su 39 milijuna kuna donacije oko 7.000 donatora iz Hrvatske i svijeta. Projekt obnove izradili su arhitekti zagrebačke „Radionice arhitekture”

Obnovljeni Vukovarski vodotoranj – simbol hrvatskog zajedništva u subotu će posjetiti i potpredsjednik Vlade RH i ministar hrvatskih branitelja Tomo Medved. Također, položit će vijenac u povodu blagdana Svih svetih na Memorijalnom groblju žrtava Domovinskog rata, u spomen na sve poginule, nestale i umrle hrvatske branitelje i civilne žrtve stradale tijekom velikosrpske agresije na Vukovar.

Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava izjavio je u petak u Vukovaru, uoči svečanosti otvorenja vukovarskog Vodotornja, kako osobno nema prevelikih emocija, ali da s obzirom na značaj Vukovara u obrani Hrvatske, osjeća ponos i zadovoljstvo.

"Nema tu prevelikih emocija jer je previše zadataka još pred nama i nove utakmice slijede. Izvršen je još jedan zadatak i idemo dalje", izjavio je Penava. Napominje da je obnovom Vodotornja, teško oštećenog u Domovinskom ratu, izvršen jedan veliki zadatak "koji je do sada žuljao".

"Nastavljamo ispunjavati zadaće koje nas i dalje žuljaju. Nažalost, u gradu Vukovaru ih ima puno, ali definitivno smo se ovom pričom odužili i zgradi Vodotornja i gradu Vukovaru, i na neki simboličan način i svim braniteljima grada Vukovara. I naravno da smo u tom smislu ponosni, da čovjek s obzirom na značaj Vukovara u obrani Republike Hrvatske u Domovinskom ratu osjeća ponos; i da su stvari u ovom dijelu Vukovara onakve kakve trebaju biti", kazao je gradonačelnik Penava.

Svečanim programom uz nastupe brojnih umjetnika, u Vukovaru je u petak navečer bez nazočnosti građana, otvoreno memorijalno područje "Vukovarski vodotoranj-simbol hrvatskog zajedništva" u sklopu kojega središnje mjesto zauzima obnovljeni Vodotoranj, simbol obrane grada u Domovinskom ratu.

Nakon što je himnu Republike Hrvatske izvela klapa Hrvatske ratne mornarice (HRM) "Sveti Juraj", državni stijeg na vrh vodotornja, na koji je u agresiji bivše JNA i srpskih paravojnih postrojba 1991. palo 640 projektila, podigao Krešimir Đalto, sin pokojnog vukovarskog branitelja Hrvoja Đalte koji je s, također pokojnim braniteljem Ivanom Ivanikom, podizao zastavu na Vodotornju svaki put kada bi ona za vrijeme napada na Vukovar, bila srušena.

Zbog epidemioloških prilika vukovarske gradske vlasti odlučile su svečano otvorenje Vodotornja održati bez nazočnosti građana, uz online prijenos na Facebooku i lokalnim televizijskim postajama. Građani će Vodotoranj moći posjetiti od subote.

U obnovu vukovarskog Vodotornja uloženo je 46 milijuna kuna, od kojih su 39 milijuna kuna donacije oko 7.000 donatora iz Hrvatske i svijeta. Projekt obnove izradili su arhitekti zagrebačke „Radionice arhitekture”

Obnovljeni Vukovarski vodotoranj – simbol hrvatskog zajedništva u subotu će posjetiti i potpredsjednik Vlade RH i ministar hrvatskih branitelja Tomo Medved. Također, položit će vijenac u povodu blagdana Svih svetih na Memorijalnom groblju žrtava Domovinskog rata, u spomen na sve poginule, nestale i umrle hrvatske branitelje i civilne žrtve stradale tijekom velikosrpske agresije na Vukovar.

Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava izjavio je u petak u Vukovaru, uoči svečanosti otvorenja vukovarskog Vodotornja, kako osobno nema prevelikih emocija, ali da s obzirom na značaj Vukovara u obrani Hrvatske, osjeća ponos i zadovoljstvo.

"Nema tu prevelikih emocija jer je previše zadataka još pred nama i nove utakmice slijede. Izvršen je još jedan zadatak i idemo dalje", izjavio je Penava. Napominje da je obnovom Vodotornja, teško oštećenog u Domovinskom ratu, izvršen jedan veliki zadatak "koji je do sada žuljao".
