Brat i sestra iz Gračaca, 9-godišnji Milan M. i godinu dana mlađa Marijana M. hospitalizirani su na Zaraznom odijelu zadarske Opće bolnice zbog meningokokne sepse.

Dječak, koji je u bolnicu primljen u vrlo teškom stanju, uz sepsu ima još i meningitis međutim, na sreću, tragičan ishod ove priče izbjegnut je zahvaljujući brzoj reakciji majke i liječnika iz Gračaca koji ih je hitno uputio u zadarsku bolnicu. Djece su sada stabilno i opravljaju se, a liječnici ne očekuju daljnje komplikacije.

Majka Radmila, s kojom smo jučer razgovarali u bolnici, prve je simptome primijetila još u utorak kad joj se kćerka požalila na bol u nogama i mišićima.

- Nakon toga je počela povraćati zbog čega sam je odmah odvela liječniku, ali kako još uvijek nije imala nikakav osip, vratile smo se kući. Sutra ujutro na licu sam vidjela crvene točkice i vratila se u ambulantu. Prvo sam mislila da se radi o nekoj alergiji, ali kad ju je vidio, liječnik u Gračacu je posumnjao na meningokoknu sepsu i hitno nas bolničkim kolima poslao u Zadar - kaže majka koja je ubrzo nakon toga doživjela drugi šok.

Godinu dana stariji sin dobio je iste simptome praćene visokom temperaturom i u puno gorem stanju od sestre hospitaliziran je u šok sobi na Jedinici intenzivnog liječenja.

- To je bilo strašno, liječnici su nam rekli da smo došli u zadnji čas. Srećom, sin je odlično reagirao na terapiju i brzo je premješten iz šok sobe - kaže majka koja je odmah obavijestila Osnovnu školu Nikole Tesle u Gračacu gdje dječak i djevojčica pohađaju treći i drugi razred.

Ona i članovi obitelji s kojima su djeca bila u neposrednom kontaktu primili su preventivnu antibiotsku terapiju, takozvanu profilaksu. Odmah je reagirala i škola u Gračacu.

Kako bi se spriječilo širenje infekcije, svi učenici su u petak poslijepodne zadržani u školi gdje su primili terapiju, a napravljen je i popis djece koja su bila u kontaktu sa oboljelim mališanima.

Naime, u svim grupacijama gdje su djeca ili učenici u bliskom kontaktu, poput škola i vrtića, stvara se mogućnost da osoba dobije meningokok jer se infekcija od osobe do osobe prenosi kapljičnim putem, poput kihanja i govora.

Prema sadašnjim informacijama, novih slučajeva zaraze nema no škola je i dalje u stalnom kontaktu s epidemiolozima. Prema njihovih riječima, druga djeca sigurna i više nema opasnosti jer je vrijeme inkubacije prošlo.

Medicina (još) nema odgovora

- Djeca su na vrijeme primila terepiju, opravljaju se i bit će otpušeni kući do kraja tjedna. Stanje dječaka bilo je dosta teško i sretni smo što je sve dobro završilo - kaže voditelj Zaraznog, dr. Boris Đelalija dodajući kako u ovakvim slučajevima medicina nema odgovora.

- Nekad jedan slučaj završi kritično, a ovdje je oboje djece dobro prošlo. Srećom, njihov organizam je zdrav i obrambeni mehanizam dosta jak - kaže Đelalija.

Nepoznat izvor zaraze

Meningokoknu bolest uzrokuje bakterija Neissearia meningitidis, koja kod nekih osoba ne uzrokuje nikakve simptome, a tek manji dio zaraženih osoba dobije meningokoknu sepsu, koja se može javljati zajedno s meningitisom. U rijetkim slučajevima ima galopirajući oblik koji završava tragično. Srećom, to nije bio slučaj kod dvoje mališana iz Gračaca. Kako su se djeca zarazila, za sada nije poznato.

Brat i sestra iz Gračaca, 9-godišnji Milan M. i godinu dana mlađa Marijana M. hospitalizirani su na Zaraznom odijelu zadarske Opće bolnice zbog meningokokne sepse.

Dječak, koji je u bolnicu primljen u vrlo teškom stanju, uz sepsu ima još i meningitis međutim, na sreću, tragičan ishod ove priče izbjegnut je zahvaljujući brzoj reakciji majke i liječnika iz Gračaca koji ih je hitno uputio u zadarsku bolnicu. Djece su sada stabilno i opravljaju se, a liječnici ne očekuju daljnje komplikacije.

Majka Radmila, s kojom smo jučer razgovarali u bolnici, prve je simptome primijetila još u utorak kad joj se kćerka požalila na bol u nogama i mišićima.

- Nakon toga je počela povraćati zbog čega sam je odmah odvela liječniku, ali kako još uvijek nije imala nikakav osip, vratile smo se kući. Sutra ujutro na licu sam vidjela crvene točkice i vratila se u ambulantu. Prvo sam mislila da se radi o nekoj alergiji, ali kad ju je vidio, liječnik u Gračacu je posumnjao na meningokoknu sepsu i hitno nas bolničkim kolima poslao u Zadar - kaže majka koja je ubrzo nakon toga doživjela drugi šok.

Godinu dana stariji sin dobio je iste simptome praćene visokom temperaturom i u puno gorem stanju od sestre hospitaliziran je u šok sobi na Jedinici intenzivnog liječenja.

- To je bilo strašno, liječnici su nam rekli da smo došli u zadnji čas. Srećom, sin je odlično reagirao na terapiju i brzo je premješten iz šok sobe - kaže majka koja je odmah obavijestila Osnovnu školu Nikole Tesle u Gračacu gdje dječak i djevojčica pohađaju treći i drugi razred.

Ona i članovi obitelji s kojima su djeca bila u neposrednom kontaktu primili su preventivnu antibiotsku terapiju, takozvanu profilaksu. Odmah je reagirala i škola u Gračacu.

Kako bi se spriječilo širenje infekcije, svi učenici su u petak poslijepodne zadržani u školi gdje su primili terapiju, a napravljen je i popis djece koja su bila u kontaktu sa oboljelim mališanima.

Naime, u svim grupacijama gdje su djeca ili učenici u bliskom kontaktu, poput škola i vrtića, stvara se mogućnost da osoba dobije meningokok jer se infekcija od osobe do osobe prenosi kapljičnim putem, poput kihanja i govora.

Prema sadašnjim informacijama, novih slučajeva zaraze nema no škola je i dalje u stalnom kontaktu s epidemiolozima. Prema njihovih riječima, druga djeca sigurna i više nema opasnosti jer je vrijeme inkubacije prošlo.

Medicina (još) nema odgovora

- Djeca su na vrijeme primila terepiju, opravljaju se i bit će otpušeni kući do kraja tjedna. Stanje dječaka bilo je dosta teško i sretni smo što je sve dobro završilo - kaže voditelj Zaraznog, dr. Boris Đelalija dodajući kako u ovakvim slučajevima medicina nema odgovora.

- Nekad jedan slučaj završi kritično, a ovdje je oboje djece dobro prošlo. Srećom, njihov organizam je zdrav i obrambeni mehanizam dosta jak - kaže Đelalija.

Nepoznat izvor zaraze

Meningokoknu bolest uzrokuje bakterija Neissearia meningitidis, koja kod nekih osoba ne uzrokuje nikakve simptome, a tek manji dio zaraženih osoba dobije meningokoknu sepsu, koja se može javljati zajedno s meningitisom. U rijetkim slučajevima ima galopirajući oblik koji završava tragično. Srećom, to nije bio slučaj kod dvoje mališana iz Gračaca. Kako su se djeca zarazila, za sada nije poznato.
