Prva polovica svibnja uobičajeno prolazi u znaku različitih, ali važnih obilježavanja pobjede nad fašizmom u cijelome svijetu.

Rijeka je svome oslobađanju od fašizma iskazala počast i nazivanjem svoje ponajveće firme, brodogradilišta "3. maj" po danu oslobođenja grada, spajanja Rijeke i Sušaka u jedan, hrvatski grad.

U bici za Rijeku položeno je 2.800 života, toga se sjetio 91-godišnji Josip Tatalović, koji je u njoj sudjelovao.

– Bitka za Rijeku bila je strašna, u ratu nema milosti, ubijaju i jedni i drugi. To je kao hipnoza, gine se jedan za drugoga. Gledao sam masakre, vidio sam da je čovjek najveća zvijer. Sve to i dan danas znam proživljavati. Kada smo mi došli, tada na Sušak, Rijeka je bila prilično oslobođena, ali i dalje su se vodile krvave bitke. Mi smo vozili ranjenike u poljsku bolnicu. Rijeka je bila jedna velika ruševina. Puno je partizana izginulo. Bio je to užas. Ta 1945. godina je bila užasna, spavali smo na položajima, borbe su bile neprestane s Nijemcima, noć i dan se nije prekidalo. Pola divizije je poginulo, preko dvije hiljade ljudi u Lici, Gorskom kotaru, Primorju, Rijeci, Istri sve do Trsta, priča Josip Tatalović koji je pred ustašama pobjegao u partizane s 14 godina, piše Damir Cupać za Novi list.

Današnja Rijeka puno duguje Josipu Tataloviću i suborcima

Brat Đuro, student, ubijen je u Jasenovcu, a mama i sestra jedva su se spasile. Sve zato što mu je otac bio pravoslavac. U Gorskom kotaru bio je ranjen u nogu.

Poslije oslobođenja zbog nezainteresiranosti za ideologiju i vjernost partiji i "brbljanja bez veze", osuđen je na pet godina zatvora u Lepoglavi. Ipak je nakon tri godine amnestiran pa se vratio u Liku, a odatle u Rijeku, gdje je 1991. dočekao mirovinu.

– Treba li slaviti Dan oslobođenja, treba, i te kako treba, toliko je ljudi poginulo za ovaj grad, najviše Dalmatinaca. Takvoj žrtvi treba odati poštovanje jer je ona omogućila slobodu svima nama. Trebalo je vidjeti riječke ulice tih dana, koje je to veselje bilo, ljudi su znali da se stvara povijest i da se oteto vraća domovini. Bio sam dijete, toliko puta sam plakao. Danas, kada je 3. maj, ponosan sam, ali dođe mi i teško. Čini mi se da smo zaboravljeni. Ali smetale su mi neke stvari kao što je rušenje antifašističkih spomenika. To nije bilo dobro jer su se ti ljudi borili za Hrvatsku. To je isto kao da netko ide rušiti za 50 godina spomenike ljudima koji su se borili u Domovinskom ratu. Ne smije se to raditi. Mlade generacije moraju znati što se događalo. Ne smijemo rušiti i uništavati sami sebe. Znam ja da su svi griješili u ratu, gledao sam svašta, ali partizani su se borili za slobodnu Hrvatsku, zaključio je Josip Tatalović u razgovoru za Novi list.

Vitalni 91.godišnjak u tome je potpuno u pravu. Zaboravljaju se danas i nedavne stvari, a kamoli neće "neki daleki rat". Ali treba podsjetiti, da nije bilo toga rata i te bitke i boraca poput Josipa, Rijeka danas vjeroatno ne bi bila hrvatska. Josip i drugi sigurno bi voljeli da se njihova borba ne dovodi u pitanje i da nove generacije nastave obilježavati te važne događaje. Možemo li im to garantiratI?

Prva polovica svibnja uobičajeno prolazi u znaku različitih, ali važnih obilježavanja pobjede nad fašizmom u cijelome svijetu.

Rijeka je svome oslobađanju od fašizma iskazala počast i nazivanjem svoje ponajveće firme, brodogradilišta "3. maj" po danu oslobođenja grada, spajanja Rijeke i Sušaka u jedan, hrvatski grad.

U bici za Rijeku položeno je 2.800 života, toga se sjetio 91-godišnji Josip Tatalović, koji je u njoj sudjelovao.

– Bitka za Rijeku bila je strašna, u ratu nema milosti, ubijaju i jedni i drugi. To je kao hipnoza, gine se jedan za drugoga. Gledao sam masakre, vidio sam da je čovjek najveća zvijer. Sve to i dan danas znam proživljavati. Kada smo mi došli, tada na Sušak, Rijeka je bila prilično oslobođena, ali i dalje su se vodile krvave bitke. Mi smo vozili ranjenike u poljsku bolnicu. Rijeka je bila jedna velika ruševina. Puno je partizana izginulo. Bio je to užas. Ta 1945. godina je bila užasna, spavali smo na položajima, borbe su bile neprestane s Nijemcima, noć i dan se nije prekidalo. Pola divizije je poginulo, preko dvije hiljade ljudi u Lici, Gorskom kotaru, Primorju, Rijeci, Istri sve do Trsta, priča Josip Tatalović koji je pred ustašama pobjegao u partizane s 14 godina, piše Damir Cupać za Novi list.

Brat Đuro, student, ubijen je u Jasenovcu, a mama i sestra jedva su se spasile. Sve zato što mu je otac bio pravoslavac. U Gorskom kotaru bio je ranjen u nogu.

Poslije oslobođenja zbog nezainteresiranosti za ideologiju i vjernost partiji i "brbljanja bez veze", osuđen je na pet godina zatvora u Lepoglavi. Ipak je nakon tri godine amnestiran pa se vratio u Liku, a odatle u Rijeku, gdje je 1991. dočekao mirovinu.

– Treba li slaviti Dan oslobođenja, treba, i te kako treba, toliko je ljudi poginulo za ovaj grad, najviše Dalmatinaca. Takvoj žrtvi treba odati poštovanje jer je ona omogućila slobodu svima nama. Trebalo je vidjeti riječke ulice tih dana, koje je to veselje bilo, ljudi su znali da se stvara povijest i da se oteto vraća domovini. Bio sam dijete, toliko puta sam plakao. Danas, kada je 3. maj, ponosan sam, ali dođe mi i teško. Čini mi se da smo zaboravljeni. Ali smetale su mi neke stvari kao što je rušenje antifašističkih spomenika. To nije bilo dobro jer su se ti ljudi borili za Hrvatsku. To je isto kao da netko ide rušiti za 50 godina spomenike ljudima koji su se borili u Domovinskom ratu. Ne smije se to raditi. Mlade generacije moraju znati što se događalo. Ne smijemo rušiti i uništavati sami sebe. Znam ja da su svi griješili u ratu, gledao sam svašta, ali partizani su se borili za slobodnu Hrvatsku, zaključio je Josip Tatalović u razgovoru za Novi list.

Vitalni 91.godišnjak u tome je potpuno u pravu. Zaboravljaju se danas i nedavne stvari, a kamoli neće "neki daleki rat". Ali treba podsjetiti, da nije bilo toga rata i te bitke i boraca poput Josipa, Rijeka danas vjeroatno ne bi bila hrvatska. Josip i drugi sigurno bi voljeli da se njihova borba ne dovodi u pitanje i da nove generacije nastave obilježavati te važne događaje. Možemo li im to garantiratI?
