Prosječnom HDZ-ovcu lakše je dokazati da je doktor, nego da je nekažnjavan. Sjećate li se Borislava Škegre? Nekadašnji potpredsjednik Vlade i ministar financija zadužio nas je mnogočime, među ostalim i programatskim izjavama kao što su "Deficit je uvjet bržeg razvoja Hrvatske, uvoz robe i usluga mora biti veći od izvoza" ili "Financirat ću biblioteke da izbace iz knjižnih fondova knjige na srpskom ili sličnim jezicima".

Njegov uspon vertikalama akademske izvrsnosti nije dugo trajao, dospio se zakititi titulom magistra znanosti i na tome stao. I što mu je falilo? Dugi niz godina pripadao je vrhuški koja je drmala ovom zemljom, da bi se potom prebacio u poslovne vode.

Škegro je bio HDZ-ovac starog kova. U to davno doba držalo se znakom velike nepristojnosti kada bi se netko pohvalio da je doktor znanosti. Znalo se tko jedini smije polagati pravo na tu titulu. Naravno, Franjo Tuđman.

On se uz velike, gotovo nadljudske napore domogao te časti, pa nije volio oko sebe imati jednako istaknute pojedince. A kad bi se oni ipak zatekli s njim u društvu, očekivalo se da budu šutljivi i diskretni, da se ne razmeću svojim titulama, pa da Hrvatska televizija na miru može objaviti kako je karik Tuđman toga i toga dana primio desetak lišina.

Da je dvadesetak ili tridesetak godina mlađi, za Škegru ne bi bilo kruha u HDZ-u. Ne samo kruha, nego ni mjesta, jer danas svijećom treba tražiti ambicioznog člana te stranke koji ispred svoga imena ne nosi dugačku, kobasičastu titulu tipa izv. prof. dr. sci.

Dok druge partije od potencijalnih članova traže potvrdu o nekažnjavanju, u HDZ-u, izgleda, inzistiraju na potvrdi o doktoratu. Iz toga bismo mogli izvesti zaključak kako je prosječnom zajedničaru lakše dokazati da je dao značajan doprinos znanosti, nego da nikad nije osuđivan, ali ipak nećemo, da netko, ne daj bože, ne bi pomislio kako se neumjesno šegačimo.

Kad na tržištu vlada velika potražnja za nekom robom, ne treba se čuditi što se povremeno u optjecaju pojave i falšete. Između doktorske povelje i Louis Vuittonove damske torbice u tom smislu nema velike razlike. Odnosno ima, ali samo utoliko što je fensi-šmensi boršin kudikamo teže krivotvoriti od običnoga kartoncina na kojemu su otisnuta slova i udaren suhi žig.

Stoga ne bismo smjeli preoštro suditi o hadezeovskim doktorima od slatke vode. Nisu oni krivi zato što se po svaku cijenu grebu za doktorske falšete, kriva je prokleta moda koja ih tjera da se kite visokim titulama, iako nisu dorasli svjedodžbama nekadašnje Škole učenika u privredi.

Prosječnom HDZ-ovcu lakše je dokazati da je doktor, nego da je nekažnjavan. Sjećate li se Borislava Škegre? Nekadašnji potpredsjednik Vlade i ministar financija zadužio nas je mnogočime, među ostalim i programatskim izjavama kao što su "Deficit je uvjet bržeg razvoja Hrvatske, uvoz robe i usluga mora biti veći od izvoza" ili "Financirat ću biblioteke da izbace iz knjižnih fondova knjige na srpskom ili sličnim jezicima".

Njegov uspon vertikalama akademske izvrsnosti nije dugo trajao, dospio se zakititi titulom magistra znanosti i na tome stao. I što mu je falilo? Dugi niz godina pripadao je vrhuški koja je drmala ovom zemljom, da bi se potom prebacio u poslovne vode.

Škegro je bio HDZ-ovac starog kova. U to davno doba držalo se znakom velike nepristojnosti kada bi se netko pohvalio da je doktor znanosti. Znalo se tko jedini smije polagati pravo na tu titulu. Naravno, Franjo Tuđman.

On se uz velike, gotovo nadljudske napore domogao te časti, pa nije volio oko sebe imati jednako istaknute pojedince. A kad bi se oni ipak zatekli s njim u društvu, očekivalo se da budu šutljivi i diskretni, da se ne razmeću svojim titulama, pa da Hrvatska televizija na miru može objaviti kako je karik Tuđman toga i toga dana primio desetak lišina.

Da je dvadesetak ili tridesetak godina mlađi, za Škegru ne bi bilo kruha u HDZ-u. Ne samo kruha, nego ni mjesta, jer danas svijećom treba tražiti ambicioznog člana te stranke koji ispred svoga imena ne nosi dugačku, kobasičastu titulu tipa izv. prof. dr. sci.

Dok druge partije od potencijalnih članova traže potvrdu o nekažnjavanju, u HDZ-u, izgleda, inzistiraju na potvrdi o doktoratu. Iz toga bismo mogli izvesti zaključak kako je prosječnom zajedničaru lakše dokazati da je dao značajan doprinos znanosti, nego da nikad nije osuđivan, ali ipak nećemo, da netko, ne daj bože, ne bi pomislio kako se neumjesno šegačimo.

Kad na tržištu vlada velika potražnja za nekom robom, ne treba se čuditi što se povremeno u optjecaju pojave i falšete. Između doktorske povelje i Louis Vuittonove damske torbice u tom smislu nema velike razlike. Odnosno ima, ali samo utoliko što je fensi-šmensi boršin kudikamo teže krivotvoriti od običnoga kartoncina na kojemu su otisnuta slova i udaren suhi žig.

Stoga ne bismo smjeli preoštro suditi o hadezeovskim doktorima od slatke vode. Nisu oni krivi zato što se po svaku cijenu grebu za doktorske falšete, kriva je prokleta moda koja ih tjera da se kite visokim titulama, iako nisu dorasli svjedodžbama nekadašnje Škole učenika u privredi.
