Ideja o useljavanju Hrvata iz Južne Amerike nije od jučer. Nedavno ju je aktualizirao poznati demograf Stjepan Šterc. On je mišljenja da bi naši iseljenici, koji su kroz nekoliko generacija uspjeli očuvati hrvatski identitet, mogli, pod određenim uvjetima, napučiti depopularizirana područja Korduna i Banije, Like, Gorskog kotara, dijelove Slavonije i Dalmatinske zagore.

U Argentini živi oko 250 tisuća Hrvata. Prvi su ondje počeli stizati jer je Argentina slovila za obećanu zemlju zbog rudnika srebra, po kojima je dobila i ime.

U Čileu je danas oko dvjesto tisuća naših sunarodnjaka. Riječ je o trećoj, četvrtoj, u pojedinim slučajevima čak i petoj generaciji potomaka hrvatskih doseljenika, a pripadnici prve generacije su izumrli.

U Brazilu, za razliku od Čilea i Argentine, živi manji broj iseljenika. Pretpostavlja se da ih je oko 20 tisuća. U Paragvaju i Urugvaju danas je ukupno oko deset tisuća Hrvata.

Hrvatsko iseljeništvo je u Brazil stiglo u dva vala. Prvi val useljavanja zbio se početkom 20-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, kad je Brazil trebao poljoprivredne radnike. Najviše ih je iz Dalmacije i Istre. Uglavnom žive u Sao Paulu.

Poduzetnik Juroslav Buljubašić, počasni konzul Republike Čile u Splitu, odlično poznaje situaciju u Južnoj Americi i život tamošnje hrvatske zajednice.

– Oni su se jako dobro adaptirali u Čileu i za neke od njih Čile je prva domovina, a dio ih domovinom podjednako doživljava i Hrvatsku i Čile. Nije isključeno da bi, naročito mlađi ljudi, a takvih slučajeva ima, došli živjeti u Hrvatsku. Prvi razlog je besplatno obrazovanje koje ovdje još imamo i koje je naša velika prednost – kaže Buljubašić, koji i klimu navodi kao jak argument zbog kojeg bi se Hrvati iz Južne Amerike mogli vratiti u domovinu.

– U Antofagasti vlada suha pustinjska klima, a u Punta Arenasu, koji je blizu Ognjene zemlje, zime su dosta hladne i vjetrovite, a baš u tim područjima živi najviše Hrvata. U svakom slučaju, naša klima je u odnosu na njihovu savršena. E, sad, ovamo bi mogli doći samo oni koji su, kažem, mladi, pa žele studirati ovdje, to prije jer ih se ne obavezuje ostati u Hrvatskoj nakon studija, i stariji koji nisu zadovoljni životom u Južnoj Americi, a što se Čilea tiče, takvih je malo. Naime, ako gledamo životni standard i visinu BDP-a, Čile ne zaostaje za Hrvatskom, tamo se živi kao u Europi. To je jedna vrlo stabilna demokracija i otvorena zemlja za sve koji u njoj žele raditi i živjeti, ma odakle u nju stigli – kaže Buljubašić i navodi da se ni priče ostalih Hrvata iz Južne Amerike ne razlikuju puno od one u Čileu.

– Svi su oni svjesni odakle su došli, svoga podrijetla i mogućnosti da se ovdje vrate, no to je stvar osobnog izbora. S druge strane, ako ne krenemo s angažiranjem radne snage iz inozemstva, mi realno nećemo moći puniti mirovinske fondove. Već sada u Hrvatskoj je na djelu prividna nezaposlenost. Država se praktički brine o ljudima koji iz različitih zdravstvenih razloga ne mogu raditi, a svi drugi, kojima je do posla, do njega mogu i doći. Nezaposlenost nije više problem, nego radna snaga koja će biti adekvatno plaćena, a to znači da minimalni osobni dohodak u Hrvatskoj mora biti 800 eura neto, kao i najmanja mirovina – veli Buljubašić, pa objašnjava kako do toga doći.

– Zapošljavanjem Filipinaca koji su se pokazali kao iznimno marljivi, odani i u posljednje vrijeme jako dobro obučeni radnici. Njihov engleski je odličan, na njemu rade kroz cijelo školovanje kako bi mogli biti konkurentni na internacionalnom tržištu radne snage i jako se dobro adaptiraju u novoj sredini. Katolici su, pa u Hrvatskoj i zbog toga pronalaze sredinu koja je slična onoj kojoj su napustili, te na njihov angažman ne treba gledati kao na "uvoz jeftine radne snage", kako to znaju reći pojedini sindikalisti. Oni ovdje rade po jednakim uvjetima kao i njihovi kolege Hrvati i nije razlog njihova zapošljavanja to što su "jeftiniji" od domaćih radnika, jer to nije slučaj, već zato što nama kronično nedostaje radne snage svih profila – kaže Buljubašić.

Na koncu, Buljubašić tvrdi da je Hrvatska danas iznimno atraktivna zemlja za useljenike.

– Znam što govorim, obišao sam gotovo cijeli svijet, uvjeti u kojima mi, konkretno u Splitu, živimo, su iznimni. Izvrsno smo prometno povezani: aerodrom nam je na dvadeset kilometara od grada, luka i autobusni kolodvor u centru, sve važne institucije su u krugu od dvadeset minuta pješačenja, a mentalitet nas čini posebnima. Činjenica da smo grad s toliko olimpijaca govori o tome da ovdje žive daroviti pojedinci. Problem je što su nas priroda i bogata povijesna arhitektura koja nas okružuje, kao i fenomenalna klima, malo razmazili, što je, kad sve to uzmete u obzir, i logično. Ukratko, nema toga tko bi došao sa strane a ovdje ne bi ostao. Ta pogledajte samo digitalne nomade. Ovo je za njih idealno mjesto – poručuje Buljubašić.

Ideja o useljavanju Hrvata iz Južne Amerike nije od jučer. Nedavno ju je aktualizirao poznati demograf Stjepan Šterc. On je mišljenja da bi naši iseljenici, koji su kroz nekoliko generacija uspjeli očuvati hrvatski identitet, mogli, pod određenim uvjetima, napučiti depopularizirana područja Korduna i Banije, Like, Gorskog kotara, dijelove Slavonije i Dalmatinske zagore.

U Argentini živi oko 250 tisuća Hrvata. Prvi su ondje počeli stizati jer je Argentina slovila za obećanu zemlju zbog rudnika srebra, po kojima je dobila i ime.

U Čileu je danas oko dvjesto tisuća naših sunarodnjaka. Riječ je o trećoj, četvrtoj, u pojedinim slučajevima čak i petoj generaciji potomaka hrvatskih doseljenika, a pripadnici prve generacije su izumrli.

U Brazilu, za razliku od Čilea i Argentine, živi manji broj iseljenika. Pretpostavlja se da ih je oko 20 tisuća. U Paragvaju i Urugvaju danas je ukupno oko deset tisuća Hrvata.

Hrvatsko iseljeništvo je u Brazil stiglo u dva vala. Prvi val useljavanja zbio se početkom 20-ih godina prošlog stoljeća, kad je Brazil trebao poljoprivredne radnike. Najviše ih je iz Dalmacije i Istre. Uglavnom žive u Sao Paulu.

Poduzetnik Juroslav Buljubašić, počasni konzul Republike Čile u Splitu, odlično poznaje situaciju u Južnoj Americi i život tamošnje hrvatske zajednice.

– Oni su se jako dobro adaptirali u Čileu i za neke od njih Čile je prva domovina, a dio ih domovinom podjednako doživljava i Hrvatsku i Čile. Nije isključeno da bi, naročito mlađi ljudi, a takvih slučajeva ima, došli živjeti u Hrvatsku. Prvi razlog je besplatno obrazovanje koje ovdje još imamo i koje je naša velika prednost – kaže Buljubašić, koji i klimu navodi kao jak argument zbog kojeg bi se Hrvati iz Južne Amerike mogli vratiti u domovinu.

– U Antofagasti vlada suha pustinjska klima, a u Punta Arenasu, koji je blizu Ognjene zemlje, zime su dosta hladne i vjetrovite, a baš u tim područjima živi najviše Hrvata. U svakom slučaju, naša klima je u odnosu na njihovu savršena. E, sad, ovamo bi mogli doći samo oni koji su, kažem, mladi, pa žele studirati ovdje, to prije jer ih se ne obavezuje ostati u Hrvatskoj nakon studija, i stariji koji nisu zadovoljni životom u Južnoj Americi, a što se Čilea tiče, takvih je malo. Naime, ako gledamo životni standard i visinu BDP-a, Čile ne zaostaje za Hrvatskom, tamo se živi kao u Europi. To je jedna vrlo stabilna demokracija i otvorena zemlja za sve koji u njoj žele raditi i živjeti, ma odakle u nju stigli – kaže Buljubašić i navodi da se ni priče ostalih Hrvata iz Južne Amerike ne razlikuju puno od one u Čileu.

– Svi su oni svjesni odakle su došli, svoga podrijetla i mogućnosti da se ovdje vrate, no to je stvar osobnog izbora. S druge strane, ako ne krenemo s angažiranjem radne snage iz inozemstva, mi realno nećemo moći puniti mirovinske fondove. Već sada u Hrvatskoj je na djelu prividna nezaposlenost. Država se praktički brine o ljudima koji iz različitih zdravstvenih razloga ne mogu raditi, a svi drugi, kojima je do posla, do njega mogu i doći. Nezaposlenost nije više problem, nego radna snaga koja će biti adekvatno plaćena, a to znači da minimalni osobni dohodak u Hrvatskoj mora biti 800 eura neto, kao i najmanja mirovina – veli Buljubašić, pa objašnjava kako do toga doći.

– Zapošljavanjem Filipinaca koji su se pokazali kao iznimno marljivi, odani i u posljednje vrijeme jako dobro obučeni radnici. Njihov engleski je odličan, na njemu rade kroz cijelo školovanje kako bi mogli biti konkurentni na internacionalnom tržištu radne snage i jako se dobro adaptiraju u novoj sredini. Katolici su, pa u Hrvatskoj i zbog toga pronalaze sredinu koja je slična onoj kojoj su napustili, te na njihov angažman ne treba gledati kao na "uvoz jeftine radne snage", kako to znaju reći pojedini sindikalisti. Oni ovdje rade po jednakim uvjetima kao i njihovi kolege Hrvati i nije razlog njihova zapošljavanja to što su "jeftiniji" od domaćih radnika, jer to nije slučaj, već zato što nama kronično nedostaje radne snage svih profila – kaže Buljubašić.

Na koncu, Buljubašić tvrdi da je Hrvatska danas iznimno atraktivna zemlja za useljenike.

– Znam što govorim, obišao sam gotovo cijeli svijet, uvjeti u kojima mi, konkretno u Splitu, živimo, su iznimni. Izvrsno smo prometno povezani: aerodrom nam je na dvadeset kilometara od grada, luka i autobusni kolodvor u centru, sve važne institucije su u krugu od dvadeset minuta pješačenja, a mentalitet nas čini posebnima. Činjenica da smo grad s toliko olimpijaca govori o tome da ovdje žive daroviti pojedinci. Problem je što su nas priroda i bogata povijesna arhitektura koja nas okružuje, kao i fenomenalna klima, malo razmazili, što je, kad sve to uzmete u obzir, i logično. Ukratko, nema toga tko bi došao sa strane a ovdje ne bi ostao. Ta pogledajte samo digitalne nomade. Ovo je za njih idealno mjesto – poručuje Buljubašić.
