Počela je još jedna školska godina praćena neskrivenim zgražanjem nad činjenicom da nam je, eto, "isparilo" pedeset razreda prvašića.

Podatak je to koji zvuči bombastično i zabrinjavajuće, no kako nas iskustvo uči da je razred relativan pojam te da su neki od nas imali po 30 i više razrednih kolega, a neki niti 20, brojanje razreda nije nimalo precizno. No pogledajmo brojke – u razdoblju od početka siječnja do kraja srpnja u Hrvatskoj je, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku, rođeno 18.480 beba, što je 1204 manje nego lani u istom razdoblju, odnosno 10,6 posto manje nego u istom razdoblju 2021. godine.

Uspoređujući međutim prvih sedam mjeseci, broj novorođene djece u proteklom desetljeću smanjio se za čitavih 19,7 posto, gotovo za jednu petinu. To pak znači da je Hrvatska izgubila ne pedeset nego 230 razreda prvašića, koliko god razredi bili nepouzdane veličine, u odnosu na generaciju iz 2013. godine. I to je surova stvarnost nacije koja nestaje i koja ne čini ništa da, usprkos golemoj količini proklamiranog nacionalnog ponosa, unaprijedi živote makar onih prvašića koji su tu.

Kakvu školu i kakve vrijednosti nudimo djeci? Kakvu javnu sliku o sebi gradimo? Koja vrijednost je neupitna na dugom putu te djece kroz školovanje? Istina ili mit?

Upravo je proteklog vikenda održana jedna manifestacija koja je, barem se čini, zamišljena kao afirmacija lokalpatriotizma i ponosa, a koja, između ostaloga, javno i bez ikakve nelagode nudi laž umjesto istine. Ovaj put je to laž o Šibeniku. Manifestacija kakvih ima ljeti na svakom koraku razlikuje se od ostalih po tome što tvrdi da je Šibenik bio 1895. prvi grad na svijetu – alo, na svijetu! – koji je dobio javnu izmjeničnu električnu rasvjetu. Prvi!? Na svijetu!?

Budući da se rečena manifestacija ne događa prvi nego čak osmi put i da se notorna neistina otome da je Šibenik, a ne Pariz, "grad svjetla", ne treba uopće sumnjati da će ta neistina ući, ako već nije, i u udžbenike iz kojih će učiti današnjih 35 tisuća novih hrvatskih prvašića. Jadna djeca!

Jednom, kad porastu, kad se suoče s vršnjacima iz Europe koji dobro znaju da su Pariz 1877., London 1878., Newcastle 1879., Godalming u Velikoj Britaniji 1881..., svijetlili znatno prije Šibenika, a da je i rumunjski grad Temišvar s ukupno 771 električnom uličnom svjetiljkom "zasjao" još 1884. godine, ispast će budale. Uz našu svesrdnu pomoć.

Osam godina manifestacija "Light is Life" koju je pokrenuo lokalni skiper i fotograf Zoran Lučić Luca uz veliku medijsku pokrivenost i šutnju lokalnih i nacionalnih profesora fizike, elektrotehnike i povijesti, pa i običnih ljudi sa zrnom soli u glavi, naprosto plasira neistinu. I nikom ništa!

Naravno, niti je ova ljetna priredba najveća niti je, da se razumijemo, usamljena u proizvodnji mitova nauštrb istine, ali...

Zemlja veličine osrednjeg europskog grada koja iz godine u godinu postaje sve manja i koja od maštane veličine ima samo teritorij na kojem skoro više ništa nije u njezinom vlasništvu odustaje i od istine kao temeljne odrednice svakog integriteta, svakog znanja i obrazovanja. Kad laž postane svjetlo života, sudbina naših prvašića nepovratno tone u – mrak.

Počela je još jedna školska godina praćena neskrivenim zgražanjem nad činjenicom da nam je, eto, "isparilo" pedeset razreda prvašića.

Podatak je to koji zvuči bombastično i zabrinjavajuće, no kako nas iskustvo uči da je razred relativan pojam te da su neki od nas imali po 30 i više razrednih kolega, a neki niti 20, brojanje razreda nije nimalo precizno. No pogledajmo brojke – u razdoblju od početka siječnja do kraja srpnja u Hrvatskoj je, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku, rođeno 18.480 beba, što je 1204 manje nego lani u istom razdoblju, odnosno 10,6 posto manje nego u istom razdoblju 2021. godine.

Uspoređujući međutim prvih sedam mjeseci, broj novorođene djece u proteklom desetljeću smanjio se za čitavih 19,7 posto, gotovo za jednu petinu. To pak znači da je Hrvatska izgubila ne pedeset nego 230 razreda prvašića, koliko god razredi bili nepouzdane veličine, u odnosu na generaciju iz 2013. godine. I to je surova stvarnost nacije koja nestaje i koja ne čini ništa da, usprkos golemoj količini proklamiranog nacionalnog ponosa, unaprijedi živote makar onih prvašića koji su tu.

Kakvu školu i kakve vrijednosti nudimo djeci? Kakvu javnu sliku o sebi gradimo? Koja vrijednost je neupitna na dugom putu te djece kroz školovanje? Istina ili mit?

Upravo je proteklog vikenda održana jedna manifestacija koja je, barem se čini, zamišljena kao afirmacija lokalpatriotizma i ponosa, a koja, između ostaloga, javno i bez ikakve nelagode nudi laž umjesto istine. Ovaj put je to laž o Šibeniku. Manifestacija kakvih ima ljeti na svakom koraku razlikuje se od ostalih po tome što tvrdi da je Šibenik bio 1895. prvi grad na svijetu – alo, na svijetu! – koji je dobio javnu izmjeničnu električnu rasvjetu. Prvi!? Na svijetu!?

Budući da se rečena manifestacija ne događa prvi nego čak osmi put i da se notorna neistina otome da je Šibenik, a ne Pariz, "grad svjetla", ne treba uopće sumnjati da će ta neistina ući, ako već nije, i u udžbenike iz kojih će učiti današnjih 35 tisuća novih hrvatskih prvašića. Jadna djeca!

Jednom, kad porastu, kad se suoče s vršnjacima iz Europe koji dobro znaju da su Pariz 1877., London 1878., Newcastle 1879., Godalming u Velikoj Britaniji 1881..., svijetlili znatno prije Šibenika, a da je i rumunjski grad Temišvar s ukupno 771 električnom uličnom svjetiljkom "zasjao" još 1884. godine, ispast će budale. Uz našu svesrdnu pomoć.

Osam godina manifestacija "Light is Life" koju je pokrenuo lokalni skiper i fotograf Zoran Lučić Luca uz veliku medijsku pokrivenost i šutnju lokalnih i nacionalnih profesora fizike, elektrotehnike i povijesti, pa i običnih ljudi sa zrnom soli u glavi, naprosto plasira neistinu. I nikom ništa!

Naravno, niti je ova ljetna priredba najveća niti je, da se razumijemo, usamljena u proizvodnji mitova nauštrb istine, ali...

Zemlja veličine osrednjeg europskog grada koja iz godine u godinu postaje sve manja i koja od maštane veličine ima samo teritorij na kojem skoro više ništa nije u njezinom vlasništvu odustaje i od istine kao temeljne odrednice svakog integriteta, svakog znanja i obrazovanja. Kad laž postane svjetlo života, sudbina naših prvašića nepovratno tone u – mrak.
