Nakon puna dva i pol sata borbe sa vatrenom stihijom, kojoj je pomagala i vrlo jaka ledena bura, djelatnici Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Imotski uspjeli su u 20.30 sati staviti pod kontrolu,a potom i ugasiti veliki požar što je izbio na jednoj zgradi u strogom središtu Imotskog u ulici Ante Starčevića.

U gašenju požara sudjelovalo je sedam članova Javne vatrogasne postrojbe i dva člana DVD-a Imotski sa četiri vatrogasna vozila od kojih je jedan imao posebne velike ljestve za gašenje visokih građevina.

Veliki požar u centru Imotskog, vatra zahvatila krovište kuće, a jaka bura otežava posao gasiteljima

Samo zahvaljujući požrtvovanosti vatrogasaca spriječena je prava tragedija jer zgrada kojoj je gorjelo krovište naslonjena je na nekoliko starih zgrada u središtu Imotskog.U nekima od njih godinama nitko ne stanuje, a ispod starih i dotrajalih potkrovlja raznog je suhog materijala.

Vatrogasci su bili ogorčeni što su im pristup požarištu ometali parkirani automobili kojima je, inače, zabranjen ulaz u taj dio ulice,kao i činjenica da u blizini nisu imali niti jedan ispravan hidrant, pa su morali vodom iz cisterni gasiti požar.

Iako je požar ugašen,ekipa vatrogasaca ostala je do kraja sanirati zgarište, kako se vatra ne bi aktivirala.Uzrok požara najvjerojatnije je neispravan dimnjak, a šteta na objektu u kojoj ima stanara je velika.

Nakon puna dva i pol sata borbe sa vatrenom stihijom, kojoj je pomagala i vrlo jaka ledena bura, djelatnici Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Imotski uspjeli su u 20.30 sati staviti pod kontrolu,a potom i ugasiti veliki požar što je izbio na jednoj zgradi u strogom središtu Imotskog u ulici Ante Starčevića.

U gašenju požara sudjelovalo je sedam članova Javne vatrogasne postrojbe i dva člana DVD-a Imotski sa četiri vatrogasna vozila od kojih je jedan imao posebne velike ljestve za gašenje visokih građevina.

Samo zahvaljujući požrtvovanosti vatrogasaca spriječena je prava tragedija jer zgrada kojoj je gorjelo krovište naslonjena je na nekoliko starih zgrada u središtu Imotskog.U nekima od njih godinama nitko ne stanuje, a ispod starih i dotrajalih potkrovlja raznog je suhog materijala.

Vatrogasci su bili ogorčeni što su im pristup požarištu ometali parkirani automobili kojima je, inače, zabranjen ulaz u taj dio ulice,kao i činjenica da u blizini nisu imali niti jedan ispravan hidrant, pa su morali vodom iz cisterni gasiti požar.

Iako je požar ugašen,ekipa vatrogasaca ostala je do kraja sanirati zgarište, kako se vatra ne bi aktivirala.Uzrok požara najvjerojatnije je neispravan dimnjak, a šteta na objektu u kojoj ima stanara je velika.
