Benkovački Srbin Ernest Rađen koji se pod sumnjom za ratni zločin od travnja nalazi u zadarskom pritvoru, mogao bi za nešto više od tjedan dana daljni ishod procesa čekati na slobodi.

Neovisno o Županijskom državnom odvjetništvu koje kroz osam dana mora odlučiti hoće li podignuti optužnicu ili odustati od njegova progona, ne zna se hoće li više biti osnove za Rađenov pritvor. Iako je, naime, Rađen na temelju tjeralice iz Grčke izručen Hrvatskoj pod sumnjom da je kao zapovjednik vojne policije direktno sudjelovao u masakru 41 civila u Škabrnji i Nadinu 18. studenog 1991. godine, optužnica je u međuvremenu izmijenjena pa se on sada tereti samo da nije spriječio počinjenje kažnjiva djela.

- Izručen je za jedno, a sudi mu se za drugo kazneno djelo .- kaže Rađenov odvjetnik Slobodan Budak dodajući kako je riječ o odugovlačenju slučaja bez utemeljene osnove.

- Nikada nije ni postojala osnovana sumnja da bi on sudjelovao u ubijanju, jednako kao ni da je bio u poziciji da je mogao to spriječiti, a nije. On je bio poručnik u četi vojne policije i nije imao nikakve zapovjedne ovlasti.

Poslan je u Škabrnju sa grupom vojnika da evakuira civile i on je to i učinio. O tome postoje dokumenti u Haagu, navodi Budak dodajući kako je u istrazi ispitano dvadesetak svjedoka od kojih Rađena niti jedan nije vidio u Škabrnji i Nadinu u vrijeme kad je zločin počinjen. Nove prijedloge državnog odvjetništva za saslušanje svjedoka Županijski sud je odbio.

- U spisu je dokument koji je zaplijenjen protivničkoj brigadi. Iz tog se dokumenta vidi da je Rađen 21. studenog 1991. godine postavljen za pomoćnika komandanta čete vojne policije za moralno vaspitanje, odnosno tri dana - kaže Budak, nakon 18. studenog kada se dogodio zločin.

Benkovački Srbin Ernest Rađen koji se pod sumnjom za ratni zločin od travnja nalazi u zadarskom pritvoru, mogao bi za nešto više od tjedan dana daljni ishod procesa čekati na slobodi.

Neovisno o Županijskom državnom odvjetništvu koje kroz osam dana mora odlučiti hoće li podignuti optužnicu ili odustati od njegova progona, ne zna se hoće li više biti osnove za Rađenov pritvor. Iako je, naime, Rađen na temelju tjeralice iz Grčke izručen Hrvatskoj pod sumnjom da je kao zapovjednik vojne policije direktno sudjelovao u masakru 41 civila u Škabrnji i Nadinu 18. studenog 1991. godine, optužnica je u međuvremenu izmijenjena pa se on sada tereti samo da nije spriječio počinjenje kažnjiva djela.

- Izručen je za jedno, a sudi mu se za drugo kazneno djelo .- kaže Rađenov odvjetnik Slobodan Budak dodajući kako je riječ o odugovlačenju slučaja bez utemeljene osnove.

- Nikada nije ni postojala osnovana sumnja da bi on sudjelovao u ubijanju, jednako kao ni da je bio u poziciji da je mogao to spriječiti, a nije. On je bio poručnik u četi vojne policije i nije imao nikakve zapovjedne ovlasti.

Poslan je u Škabrnju sa grupom vojnika da evakuira civile i on je to i učinio. O tome postoje dokumenti u Haagu, navodi Budak dodajući kako je u istrazi ispitano dvadesetak svjedoka od kojih Rađena niti jedan nije vidio u Škabrnji i Nadinu u vrijeme kad je zločin počinjen. Nove prijedloge državnog odvjetništva za saslušanje svjedoka Županijski sud je odbio.

- U spisu je dokument koji je zaplijenjen protivničkoj brigadi. Iz tog se dokumenta vidi da je Rađen 21. studenog 1991. godine postavljen za pomoćnika komandanta čete vojne policije za moralno vaspitanje, odnosno tri dana - kaže Budak, nakon 18. studenog kada se dogodio zločin.
