Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice, uz upaljene mikrofone, makar možda čak i bio u pravu, urlajući na njega, gotovo pa prijeteći sucu kaže: “Jesi li ti glup?... Kako možeš toliko loše suditi polufinale Grand Slama? Gledaj me, tebi govorim!”.

Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice namjerno u bijesu probuši loptu, iskida mrež(ic)u, razbije ploču na košu... Priznajte, pred očima su vam u takvom scenariju isključivo crveni kartoni ukoliko se radi o nogometašu, duple tehničke odnosno isključenja s parketa ako je krivac košarkaš. Međutim, govorimo o tenisačima, onima koji se bave “bijelim sportom”, gospodskim. A mnogi nisu ni blizu titule gospode. Barem ne na terenu.

Rus Daniil Medvedev izvrijeđao je u polufinalu Australian Opena glavnog suca optužujući ga da ne vidi kako protivnik Grk Stefanos Tsitsipas navodno dobiva instrukcije od oca s tribina što nije dopušteno. Prisjetimo se samo nevjerojatnog slučaja Serene Williams koja je nakon optužbi za primanje savjeta od trenera izvrijeđala suca na finalu US Opena 2018. za što je bila kažnjena na koncu i gemom za protivnicu (kasniju pobjednicu Naomi Osaku).

Zbog toga se u finalu (njena igra) raspala. Možda je Medvedev i u pravu, ali nije način. Toliko je Medvedev izvrijeđao suca da je vjerojatno svima na stadionu bilo neugodno osim svjetskom broju dva. Međutim, završio je taj meč, kasnije i u finalu.

Australac Nick Kyrgios, osvajač prvog Grand Slama sezone u paru sa sunarodnjakom Thanasisom Kokkinakisom se na turniru za njega uobičajeno stalno svađao sa sucima, razbio je reket o teren u polufinalu... Međutim, on je ljubimac nacije. Sucu je u jednoj situaciji glasno poručio, zaprijetio: “Oni (publika, nap.a.) su ovdje zbog mene, ne zbog tebe!”.

Završio je i taj meč, na kraju došao i do trofeja. Nije izbačen kao što mu se primjerice dogodilo dvije i pol godine ranije u Rimu kada se svađao sa sucem i bacao stolice pa je diskvalificiran. Nije završio ni kao slavni John McEnroe 1990. baš na istom turniru, kada je zbog niza incidenata izbačen s Grand Slama. Show je naravno Kyrgios nastavio i u finalu kada je na njegovo inzistiranje troje gledatelja izbačeno jer je jedan od njih uzvikivao out na servis protivnika.

“Bijeli sport” tepamo mu, gospodski. Ali ovo nisu baš gospoda. U puno grubljim sportovima završili bi mnogo ranije u svlačionici. Uz to još imaju i dvostruka mjerila. Kyrgios izbacuje navijače jer mu se ne sviđa što i kada govore, jer ometaju, a s druge strane uporno i hvali atmosferu jer su navijači za njega. A Medvedevu su pak navijači bili gotovo pa glavni krivci za poraz u finalu (od Rafaela Nadala), također jer su ga ometali... Čak je najavio kako zbog toga neće igrati tenis iza tridesete.

Kad će konačno tenis izaći iz 19. stoljeća? Kad će konačno moći ljudi u publici biti navijači, a ne gledatelji? Kada će se emocije dopustiti i publici, a ne samo igračima? Izuzev mrvica u Davis Cupu. Nije tenis šah. Ako jest, onda bi se i tenisači trebali početi ponašati kao šahisti. A ne da ovako navijači ne smiju pisnuti dok traju poeni. Dok je razmaženim zvijezdama s reketom u rukama skoro baš sve dopušteno.

Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice, uz upaljene mikrofone, makar možda čak i bio u pravu, urlajući na njega, gotovo pa prijeteći sucu kaže: “Jesi li ti glup?... Kako možeš toliko loše suditi polufinale Grand Slama? Gledaj me, tebi govorim!”.

Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice namjerno u bijesu probuši loptu, iskida mrež(ic)u, razbije ploču na košu... Priznajte, pred očima su vam u takvom scenariju isključivo crveni kartoni ukoliko se radi o nogometašu, duple tehničke odnosno isključenja s parketa ako je krivac košarkaš. Međutim, govorimo o tenisačima, onima koji se bave “bijelim sportom”, gospodskim. A mnogi nisu ni blizu titule gospode. Barem ne na terenu.

Rus Daniil Medvedev izvrijeđao je u polufinalu Australian Opena glavnog suca optužujući ga da ne vidi kako protivnik Grk Stefanos Tsitsipas navodno dobiva instrukcije od oca s tribina što nije dopušteno. Prisjetimo se samo nevjerojatnog slučaja Serene Williams koja je nakon optužbi za primanje savjeta od trenera izvrijeđala suca na finalu US Opena 2018. za što je bila kažnjena na koncu i gemom za protivnicu (kasniju pobjednicu Naomi Osaku).

Zbog toga se u finalu (njena igra) raspala. Možda je Medvedev i u pravu, ali nije način. Toliko je Medvedev izvrijeđao suca da je vjerojatno svima na stadionu bilo neugodno osim svjetskom broju dva. Međutim, završio je taj meč, kasnije i u finalu.

Australac Nick Kyrgios, osvajač prvog Grand Slama sezone u paru sa sunarodnjakom Thanasisom Kokkinakisom se na turniru za njega uobičajeno stalno svađao sa sucima, razbio je reket o teren u polufinalu... Međutim, on je ljubimac nacije. Sucu je u jednoj situaciji glasno poručio, zaprijetio: “Oni (publika, nap.a.) su ovdje zbog mene, ne zbog tebe!”.

Završio je i taj meč, na kraju došao i do trofeja. Nije izbačen kao što mu se primjerice dogodilo dvije i pol godine ranije u Rimu kada se svađao sa sucem i bacao stolice pa je diskvalificiran. Nije završio ni kao slavni John McEnroe 1990. baš na istom turniru, kada je zbog niza incidenata izbačen s Grand Slama. Show je naravno Kyrgios nastavio i u finalu kada je na njegovo inzistiranje troje gledatelja izbačeno jer je jedan od njih uzvikivao out na servis protivnika.

“Bijeli sport” tepamo mu, gospodski. Ali ovo nisu baš gospoda. U puno grubljim sportovima završili bi mnogo ranije u svlačionici. Uz to još imaju i dvostruka mjerila. Kyrgios izbacuje navijače jer mu se ne sviđa što i kada govore, jer ometaju, a s druge strane uporno i hvali atmosferu jer su navijači za njega. A Medvedevu su pak navijači bili gotovo pa glavni krivci za poraz u finalu (od Rafaela Nadala), također jer su ga ometali... Čak je najavio kako zbog toga neće igrati tenis iza tridesete.

Kad će konačno tenis izaći iz 19. stoljeća? Kad će konačno moći ljudi u publici biti navijači, a ne gledatelji? Kada će se emocije dopustiti i publici, a ne samo igračima? Izuzev mrvica u Davis Cupu. Nije tenis šah. Ako jest, onda bi se i tenisači trebali početi ponašati kao šahisti. A ne da ovako navijači ne smiju pisnuti dok traju poeni. Dok je razmaženim zvijezdama s reketom u rukama skoro baš sve dopušteno.

Psuju i vrijeđaju, a od publike traže tišinu: kada će konačno tenis izaći iz 19. stoljeća i dopustiti emocije i publici, a ne samo igračima?

Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice, uz upaljene mikrofone, makar možda čak i bio u pravu, urlajući na njega, gotovo pa prijeteći sucu kaže: “Jesi li ti glup?... Kako možeš toliko loše suditi polufinale Grand Slama? Gledaj me, tebi govorim!”.

Zamislite da neki nogometaš, košarkaš usred utakmice namjerno u bijesu probuši loptu, iskida mrež(ic)u, razbije ploču na košu... Priznajte, pred očima su vam u takvom scenariju isključivo crveni kartoni ukoliko se radi o nogometašu, duple tehničke odnosno isključenja s parketa ako je krivac košarkaš. Međutim, govorimo o tenisačima, onima koji se bave “bijelim sportom”, gospodskim. A mnogi nisu ni blizu titule gospode. Barem ne na terenu.

Rus Daniil Medvedev izvrijeđao je u polufinalu Australian Open...
