Petru Martić, priznaje i sama kako će dugo pamtiti pobjedu nad osmom igračicom svijeta, domaćom tenisačicom
Marion Bartoli.
- Bio je to svakako veliki dan za moju karijeru, prvi put sam prošla u treće kolo Grand Slama, prvi put pobijedila igračicu iz prvih deset, i to najveću domaću uzdanicu koja je lani igrala u polufinalu. Kraj meča, ovacije koje sam doživjela, bio je nezaboravan trenutak koji ću dugo pamtiti - rekla nam je Petra iz Pariza.
Probleme tijekom meča stvarao joj je žulj na nozi, nakon vodstva 2:0 u drugom setu izgubila je pet uzastopnih gemova. Žulj je nastao od bandaže koja joj je bila stavljena zbog problema s ligamentom palca desne noge. - Imala sam problema s ligamentima, koje su mi bandažirali, no onda se pojavio taj žulj i postao veći problem od ligamenata.
No, Petra za ‘black-out’ u drugom setu krivi i svoju taktiku.
- Nakon 2:0 sam se povukla, pokušala čuvati vodstvo, ali naravno da to nije najbolji način protiv Bartoli. U trećem setu sam znala da moram preuzeti kontrolu, to sam i učinila i ispalo je sjajno.
Žulj joj je smetao i u jučerašnjemu meču parova, u kojem je s Njemicom Anna-Lenom Groenefeld izgubila je od češkog para Andrea Hlavackova/Lucie Hradecka s 4:6, 3:6. No, taj poraz ne pada joj teško, misli su već usmjerene na novi izazov koji je očekuje danas, dvoboj trećega kola protiv Španjolke Anabel Medine Garrigues, 31. igračice svijeta.
- Ako pobijedim Medinu, onda mi sigurno neće biti žao zbog poraza u parovima. Nisam umorna, ipak se pojedinačni mečevi igraju svaki drugi dan. Vjerujem da će mi žulj dobro bandažirati i da me to neće omesti.
Protiv Medine Garrigues nikada nije igrala, danas će se prvi put sastati s njom.
- Ne poznajem je baš, nemam iskustva s njom, ali znam da je tipična zemljašica. Mislim da bi mi njena igra mogla čak više odgovarati od Bartoli, jer ću imati više vremena za svoju igru.
Kako se meč približava, uzbuđenje raste...
- Puno je emocija, ne mogu reći da nisam uzbuđena uoči trećeg kola. Stalno vrtim film u glavi kako će se meč odvijati... No, najveći izazov mi je staviti emocije sa strane i odigrati mirno, koncentrirano, najbolje što znam - zaključila je Petra Martić.

Napada li Petra svjetski vrh?
Pobjeda nad Bartoli Petri je bila prva u karijeri nad nekom igračicom iz Top Tena, no samo tri tjedna ranije Martić je bila na korak od trijumfa nad Australkom Samanthom Stosur, u tom trenutku petom igračicom svijeta (sada je šesta). Stosur je u vrlo tijesnome meču u prvom kolu WTA turnira u Madridu tada slavila sa 7:5, 4:6, 7:6. Tie-break trećeg seta tada je otišao na stranu Australke, Petra je bila blizu, no nije dugo trebala čekati na pobjedu nad jednom od deset prvoplasiranih. U istome mjesecu najprije je ‘kroz šake propustila’ petu igračicu svijeta, potom je svladala osmu, znači li to Petrin put prema svjetskome vrhu? Trenutačno je 50. na WTA listi, nakon Roland Garrosa svakako će porasti...

Petru Martić, priznaje i sama kako će dugo pamtiti pobjedu nad osmom igračicom svijeta, domaćom tenisačicom
Marion Bartoli.
- Bio je to svakako veliki dan za moju karijeru, prvi put sam prošla u treće kolo Grand Slama, prvi put pobijedila igračicu iz prvih deset, i to najveću domaću uzdanicu koja je lani igrala u polufinalu. Kraj meča, ovacije koje sam doživjela, bio je nezaboravan trenutak koji ću dugo pamtiti - rekla nam je Petra iz Pariza.
Probleme tijekom meča stvarao joj je žulj na nozi, nakon vodstva 2:0 u drugom setu izgubila je pet uzastopnih gemova. Žulj je nastao od bandaže koja joj je bila stavljena zbog problema s ligamentom palca desne noge. - Imala sam problema s ligamentima, koje su mi bandažirali, no onda se pojavio taj žulj i postao veći problem od ligamenata.
No, Petra za ‘black-out’ u drugom setu krivi i svoju taktiku.
- Nakon 2:0 sam se povukla, pokušala čuvati vodstvo, ali naravno da to nije najbolji način protiv Bartoli. U trećem setu sam znala da moram preuzeti kontrolu, to sam i učinila i ispalo je sjajno.
Žulj joj je smetao i u jučerašnjemu meču parova, u kojem je s Njemicom Anna-Lenom Groenefeld izgubila je od češkog para Andrea Hlavackova/Lucie Hradecka s 4:6, 3:6. No, taj poraz ne pada joj teško, misli su već usmjerene na novi izazov koji je očekuje danas, dvoboj trećega kola protiv Španjolke Anabel Medine Garrigues, 31. igračice svijeta.
- Ako pobijedim Medinu, onda mi sigurno neće biti žao zbog poraza u parovima. Nisam umorna, ipak se pojedinačni mečevi igraju svaki drugi dan. Vjerujem da će mi žulj dobro bandažirati i da me to neće omesti.
Protiv Medine Garrigues nikada nije igrala, danas će se prvi put sastati s njom.
- Ne poznajem je baš, nemam iskustva s njom, ali znam da je tipična zemljašica. Mislim da bi mi njena igra mogla čak više odgovarati od Bartoli, jer ću imati više vremena za svoju igru.
Kako se meč približava, uzbuđenje raste...
- Puno je emocija, ne mogu reći da nisam uzbuđena uoči trećeg kola. Stalno vrtim film u glavi kako će se meč odvijati... No, najveći izazov mi je staviti emocije sa strane i odigrati mirno, koncentrirano, najbolje što znam - zaključila je Petra Martić.

Napada li Petra svjetski vrh?
Pobjeda nad Bartoli Petri je bila prva u karijeri nad nekom igračicom iz Top Tena, no samo tri tjedna ranije Martić je bila na korak od trijumfa nad Australkom Samanthom Stosur, u tom trenutku petom igračicom svijeta (sada je šesta). Stosur je u vrlo tijesnome meču u prvom kolu WTA turnira u Madridu tada slavila sa 7:5, 4:6, 7:6. Tie-break trećeg seta tada je otišao na stranu Australke, Petra je bila blizu, no nije dugo trebala čekati na pobjedu nad jednom od deset prvoplasiranih. U istome mjesecu najprije je ‘kroz šake propustila’ petu igračicu svijeta, potom je svladala osmu, znači li to Petrin put prema svjetskome vrhu? Trenutačno je 50. na WTA listi, nakon Roland Garrosa svakako će porasti...
