Kao da nije bilo dovoljno nesretnih okolnosti, loših vijesti i negativnih nizova ove godine oko hrvatskog tenisa, dobili smo potvrdu za još jednu.

Marin Čilić, naime, završio je na još jednoj operaciji koljena te će morati još neko vrijeme biti izvan teniskih terena. Zasad se čeka bilo kakva službena objava od strane našeg proslavljenog tenisača s više informacija o cijeloj aktualnoj situaciji, ali ono što smo za sada uspjeli potvrditi jest da je operativni zahvat već obavljen u SAD-u te bi se kroz nekoliko dana Marin trebao vratiti u Hrvatsku.

Čilić već skoro godinu i pol prolazi kalvariju s ozljedom koljena, štoviše s oba koljena jer prvo je početkom 2023. stradalo desno, a onda se sredinom veljače ove godine “javilo” lijevo koljeno, zbog čega je morao na novu stanku.

- Bila je riječ o upali kosti i ispostavilo se da nije bezazlena ozljeda, odnosno da zahtijeva totalni odmor od igranja i treninga - pričao je naš as u ožujku o svom zdravstvenom stanju.

- Trebao bih se vratiti u Monte Carlu, pišu Sportske novosti.

No, turnir u Kneževini odavno je prošao, a Marinu, nažalost, ni traga na teniskim terenima, što je naslućivalo da se stanje ne popravlja. Nažalost, ispostavilo se, eto, da je došlo u fazu koja zahtijeva novu operaciju. I sasvim sigurno novu, još jednu dužu stanku za osvajača US Opena 2014. godine. Prije nego se Čilić i sâm oglasi te pruži neke detaljnije informacije, možemo samo nagađati kako je moguće da u potpunosti otpiše i ovu sezonu, baš kao što je to morao i s prethodnom, 2023.

Jer ako su naše informacije točne, predviđeno vrijeme oporavka je oko četiri mjeseca, što bi značilo do rujna. Jasno, ako će u međuvremenu sve ići po planu i ako rehabilitacija bude tekla bez nazadovanja. Hoće li se tada, bude li doista spreman i zdrav, vraćati za završnicu sezone, kako bi ulovio kakav-takav ritam prije ulaska u 2025., ili će se ipak posvetiti potpunom oporavku i treninzima, pa sljedeće godine krenuti još jednom od nule, ostaje za vidjeti.

U lanjskoj je godini na operaciji završio nakon prvog tjedna sezone i ozljede meniskusa koja se dogodila na turniru u indijskom Puneu. Pokušao se vratiti u Umagu šest mjeseci kasnije, ali ispostavilo se da je to bilo prebrzo, odnosno odigrao je samo jedan meč, pa opet pauzirao do kraja godine.

U 2024. je krenuo praktički “od nule”, doslovce jer izgubio je i renking (i sada je zapravo tek simbolično na ATP listi jer je na 1060. mjestu). Odigrao je dva turnira na startu sezone, Hong Kong i Australian Open, ali u oba poražen u prvim kolima. A onda je još odmah poslije Australian Opena, a neposredno prije Davis Cupa u Varaždinu “iskrsnula” i cista na nozi. Bio je to srećom samo privremeni, prolazni problem, ali naravno da nije pomogao u cijelom tom procesu oporavka i povratka. K tome je i u Davis Cupu, u meču protiv Belgijanca Zizoua Bergsa, ostao bez pobjede koja bi ga barem mentalno malo podignula.

Otišao je potom u Južnu Ameriku, s namjerom da tamo odigra seriju od tri turnira na zemljanoj podlozi, međutim morao je odustati od plana opet nakon samo jednog meča, poraza od Lasla Đerea u Buenos Airesu.

“Žao mi je što moram objaviti da zbog manje ozljede moram skratiti svoju turneju”, napisao je tada Čilić na Instagramu.

Otad, a bilo je to 12. veljače, naš Grand Slam pobjednik i još dvaput finalist te jedno vrijeme broj 3 na svjetskoj ljestvici, izvan je teniskih terena... Odigrao je ukupno samo pet mečeva od siječnja 2023., a otad bilježi i posljednju pobjedu, u 1. kolu Punea, protiv Carballesa Baene.

Kao da nije bilo dovoljno nesretnih okolnosti, loših vijesti i negativnih nizova ove godine oko hrvatskog tenisa, dobili smo potvrdu za još jednu.

Marin Čilić, naime, završio je na još jednoj operaciji koljena te će morati još neko vrijeme biti izvan teniskih terena. Zasad se čeka bilo kakva službena objava od strane našeg proslavljenog tenisača s više informacija o cijeloj aktualnoj situaciji, ali ono što smo za sada uspjeli potvrditi jest da je operativni zahvat već obavljen u SAD-u te bi se kroz nekoliko dana Marin trebao vratiti u Hrvatsku.

Čilić već skoro godinu i pol prolazi kalvariju s ozljedom koljena, štoviše s oba koljena jer prvo je početkom 2023. stradalo desno, a onda se sredinom veljače ove godine “javilo” lijevo koljeno, zbog čega je morao na novu stanku.

- Bila je riječ o upali kosti i ispostavilo se da nije bezazlena ozljeda, odnosno da zahtijeva totalni odmor od igranja i treninga - pričao je naš as u ožujku o svom zdravstvenom stanju.

- Trebao bih se vratiti u Monte Carlu, pišu Sportske novosti.

No, turnir u Kneževini odavno je prošao, a Marinu, nažalost, ni traga na teniskim terenima, što je naslućivalo da se stanje ne popravlja. Nažalost, ispostavilo se, eto, da je došlo u fazu koja zahtijeva novu operaciju. I sasvim sigurno novu, još jednu dužu stanku za osvajača US Opena 2014. godine. Prije nego se Čilić i sâm oglasi te pruži neke detaljnije informacije, možemo samo nagađati kako je moguće da u potpunosti otpiše i ovu sezonu, baš kao što je to morao i s prethodnom, 2023.

Jer ako su naše informacije točne, predviđeno vrijeme oporavka je oko četiri mjeseca, što bi značilo do rujna. Jasno, ako će u međuvremenu sve ići po planu i ako rehabilitacija bude tekla bez nazadovanja. Hoće li se tada, bude li doista spreman i zdrav, vraćati za završnicu sezone, kako bi ulovio kakav-takav ritam prije ulaska u 2025., ili će se ipak posvetiti potpunom oporavku i treninzima, pa sljedeće godine krenuti još jednom od nule, ostaje za vidjeti.

U lanjskoj je godini na operaciji završio nakon prvog tjedna sezone i ozljede meniskusa koja se dogodila na turniru u indijskom Puneu. Pokušao se vratiti u Umagu šest mjeseci kasnije, ali ispostavilo se da je to bilo prebrzo, odnosno odigrao je samo jedan meč, pa opet pauzirao do kraja godine.

U 2024. je krenuo praktički “od nule”, doslovce jer izgubio je i renking (i sada je zapravo tek simbolično na ATP listi jer je na 1060. mjestu). Odigrao je dva turnira na startu sezone, Hong Kong i Australian Open, ali u oba poražen u prvim kolima. A onda je još odmah poslije Australian Opena, a neposredno prije Davis Cupa u Varaždinu “iskrsnula” i cista na nozi. Bio je to srećom samo privremeni, prolazni problem, ali naravno da nije pomogao u cijelom tom procesu oporavka i povratka. K tome je i u Davis Cupu, u meču protiv Belgijanca Zizoua Bergsa, ostao bez pobjede koja bi ga barem mentalno malo podignula.

Otišao je potom u Južnu Ameriku, s namjerom da tamo odigra seriju od tri turnira na zemljanoj podlozi, međutim morao je odustati od plana opet nakon samo jednog meča, poraza od Lasla Đerea u Buenos Airesu.

“Žao mi je što moram objaviti da zbog manje ozljede moram skratiti svoju turneju”, napisao je tada Čilić na Instagramu.

Otad, a bilo je to 12. veljače, naš Grand Slam pobjednik i još dvaput finalist te jedno vrijeme broj 3 na svjetskoj ljestvici, izvan je teniskih terena... Odigrao je ukupno samo pet mečeva od siječnja 2023., a otad bilježi i posljednju pobjedu, u 1. kolu Punea, protiv Carballesa Baene.

Nova drama Marina Čilića, hitno mora na operaciju u SAD

Kao da nije bilo dovoljno nesretnih okolnosti, loših vijesti i negativnih nizova ove godine oko hrvatskog tenisa, dobili smo potvrdu za još jednu.

Marin Čilić, naime, završio je na još jednoj operaciji koljena te će morati još neko vrijeme biti izvan teniskih terena. Zasad se čeka bilo kakva službena objava od strane našeg proslavljenog tenisača s više informacija o cijeloj aktualnoj situaciji, ali ono što smo za sada uspjeli potvrditi jest da je operativni zahvat već obavljen u SAD-u te bi se kroz nekoliko dana Marin trebao vratiti u Hrvatsku.

Čilić već skoro godinu i pol prolazi kalvariju s ozljedom koljena, štoviše s oba koljena jer prvo je početkom 2023. stradalo desno, a onda se sredinom veljače ove godine “javilo” lijevo koljeno, zbog čega je morao na novu stanku.

- Bila je riječ o upali kosti i ispostavilo se da nije bezazlena ozljeda, odnosno da zahtijeva totalni odmor od igranja i treninga - pričao je naš as u ožujku o svom zdravstvenom stanju.

- Trebao bih se vratiti u Monte Carlu, pišu Sportske novosti.

No, turnir u Kneževini odavno je prošao, a Marinu, nažalost, ni traga na teniskim terenima, što je naslućivalo da se stanje ne popravlja. Nažalost, ispostavilo se, eto, da je došlo u fazu koja zahtijeva novu operaciju. I sasvim sigurno novu, još jednu dužu stanku za osvajača US Opena 2014. godine.
