Hrvatska teniska reprezentacija u srijedu je po prvi puta trenirala na igralištu na kojemu će od petka do nedjelje igrati finale Davis Cupa protiv domaćina Francuske u Liileu, a izbornik Željko Krajan je nakon treninga izjavio kako je ugodno iznenađen stanjem terena koji je postavljen na stadionu Pierre Mauroy.

"Teren je stvarno odličan, bolji od očekivanog, zadovoljni smo i nemamo nikakvi zamjerki. Očekivali smo nešto mekšu podlogu, ali Francuzi su ipak veliki majstori pri pripremanju terena tako da smo ugodno iznenađeni", izjavio je Krajan.

Hrvatski igrači imat će rijetku priliku zaigrati pred više od 20.000 gledatelja, jer kapacitet stadiona u Lilleu premašuje sve uobičajene teniske arene koje se koriste u svijetu, no Krajan smatra kako niti to neće biti hendikep za njegove izabranike.

"Nije uobičajeno da se igra na takvim stadionima, jer se tenis u svijetu ne igra u takvom ambijentu. Igrati pred 24 do 25 tisuća gledatelja je novi doživljaj i iskustvo za sve igrače. Ali, i danas smo bili u toj dvorani, lijepo izgleda i bez obzira koliko će ljudi biti bit će to dodatna motivacija", zaključio je Krajan.

Hrvatska teniska reprezentacija u srijedu je po prvi puta trenirala na igralištu na kojemu će od petka do nedjelje igrati finale Davis Cupa protiv domaćina Francuske u Liileu, a izbornik Željko Krajan je nakon treninga izjavio kako je ugodno iznenađen stanjem terena koji je postavljen na stadionu Pierre Mauroy.

"Teren je stvarno odličan, bolji od očekivanog, zadovoljni smo i nemamo nikakvi zamjerki. Očekivali smo nešto mekšu podlogu, ali Francuzi su ipak veliki majstori pri pripremanju terena tako da smo ugodno iznenađeni", izjavio je Krajan.

Hrvatski igrači imat će rijetku priliku zaigrati pred više od 20.000 gledatelja, jer kapacitet stadiona u Lilleu premašuje sve uobičajene teniske arene koje se koriste u svijetu, no Krajan smatra kako niti to neće biti hendikep za njegove izabranike.

"Nije uobičajeno da se igra na takvim stadionima, jer se tenis u svijetu ne igra u takvom ambijentu. Igrati pred 24 do 25 tisuća gledatelja je novi doživljaj i iskustvo za sve igrače. Ali, i danas smo bili u toj dvorani, lijepo izgleda i bez obzira koliko će ljudi biti bit će to dodatna motivacija", zaključio je Krajan.
