Druga tenisačica svijeta 23-godišnja Japanka Naomi Osaka odlučila je donirati sav novac koji će zaraditi sljedećeg tjedna nastupom na WTA 1000 turniru u Cincinnatiju, a uplatit će ga za pomoć potresom pogođenom Haitiju, karipskoj otočnoj državi iz koje potječe njen otac.

Dvostruka pobjednica US Opena (2018. i 2020.) i Australian Opena (2019. i 2021.), koja je prošlog mjeseca upalila olimpijski plamen na Igrama u Tokiju, poznata je po svom aktivizmu.

Tako je sada osjetila potrebu pomoći zemlji koju je posljednjih godina pogodilo nekoliko prirodnih katastrofa, a u subotnje potresu magnitude 7,2 stupnja poginule su najmanje 304 osobe, dok ih je više stotina ozlijeđenih.

- Doista me boli kad vidim sve što je uništeno na Haitiju i čini mi se da doista nemamo sreće - napisala je Osaka na Twitteru.

- Sav novac zarađen na sljedećem turniru dat ću kao pomoć Haitiju. Znam da je krv naših predaka snažna, opet ćemo ustati - dodala je tenisačica koja je odlučila igrati za državu iz koje dolazi njena majka.

Osaka je u Cincinnatiju postavljena za drugu nositeljicu te je slobodna u prvom kolu, dok će u drugom igrati protiv pobjednice dvoboja Amerikanke Coco Gauff i igračice iz kvalifikacija.

Nakon što je na početku 2021. po drugi put u karijeri osvojila Australian Open, nastavak sezone nije donio previše radosti 23-godišnjoj japanskoj tenisačici. Na Roland Garrosu je nakon pobjede u prvom kolu odustala od nastupa, jer nije željela dolaziti na konferencije za medije nakon mečeva navodeći kao razlog nepodnošljivi psihološki pritisak koji joj to stvara. Potom je iz istog razloga odustala od nastupa na Wimbledonu.

Posljednje mečeve odigrala je na olimpijskom turniru u Tokiju, gdje ju je u osmini finala eliminirala Čehinja Marketa Vondroušova.

Druga tenisačica svijeta 23-godišnja Japanka Naomi Osaka odlučila je donirati sav novac koji će zaraditi sljedećeg tjedna nastupom na WTA 1000 turniru u Cincinnatiju, a uplatit će ga za pomoć potresom pogođenom Haitiju, karipskoj otočnoj državi iz koje potječe njen otac.

Dvostruka pobjednica US Opena (2018. i 2020.) i Australian Opena (2019. i 2021.), koja je prošlog mjeseca upalila olimpijski plamen na Igrama u Tokiju, poznata je po svom aktivizmu.

Tako je sada osjetila potrebu pomoći zemlji koju je posljednjih godina pogodilo nekoliko prirodnih katastrofa, a u subotnje potresu magnitude 7,2 stupnja poginule su najmanje 304 osobe, dok ih je više stotina ozlijeđenih.

- Doista me boli kad vidim sve što je uništeno na Haitiju i čini mi se da doista nemamo sreće - napisala je Osaka na Twitteru.

- Sav novac zarađen na sljedećem turniru dat ću kao pomoć Haitiju. Znam da je krv naših predaka snažna, opet ćemo ustati - dodala je tenisačica koja je odlučila igrati za državu iz koje dolazi njena majka.

Osaka je u Cincinnatiju postavljena za drugu nositeljicu te je slobodna u prvom kolu, dok će u drugom igrati protiv pobjednice dvoboja Amerikanke Coco Gauff i igračice iz kvalifikacija.

Nakon što je na početku 2021. po drugi put u karijeri osvojila Australian Open, nastavak sezone nije donio previše radosti 23-godišnjoj japanskoj tenisačici. Na Roland Garrosu je nakon pobjede u prvom kolu odustala od nastupa, jer nije željela dolaziti na konferencije za medije nakon mečeva navodeći kao razlog nepodnošljivi psihološki pritisak koji joj to stvara. Potom je iz istog razloga odustala od nastupa na Wimbledonu.

Posljednje mečeve odigrala je na olimpijskom turniru u Tokiju, gdje ju je u osmini finala eliminirala Čehinja Marketa Vondroušova.

Humana gesta druge igračice svijeta: Naomi Osaka svu zaradu iz Cincinnatija uplatit će za pomoć Haitiju

Druga tenisačica svijeta 23-godišnja Japanka Naomi Osaka odlučila je donirati sav novac koji će zaraditi sljedećeg tjedna nastupom na WTA 1000 turniru u Cincinnatiju, a uplatit će ga za pomoć potresom pogođenom Haitiju, karipskoj otočnoj državi iz koje potječe njen otac.

Dvostruka pobjednica US Opena (2018. i 2020.) i Australian Opena (2019. i 2021.), koja je prošlog mjeseca upalila olimpijski plamen na Igrama u Tokiju, poznata je po svom aktivizmu.

Tako je sada osjetila potrebu pomoći zemlji koju je posljednjih godina pogodilo nekoliko prirodnih katastrofa, a u subotnje potresu magnitude 7,2 stupnja poginule su najmanje 304 osobe, dok ih je više stotina ozlijeđenih.
