Borna Gojo dao je intervju za poznati i vrlo utjecajni srpski portal B92.net. Bio je vrlo otvoren nakon što je još u ponedjeljak ispao u 1. kolu od Nijemca Maximiliana Marterera.

"Ne znam što bih rekao, dođeš tu, sve super, najbolji centar na svijetu, najbolji turnir. Ali, opet, kad pogledam, ovakvi uvjeti – puše, kiša, hladno, staješ, pa igraš... Užasno mi je kad igram tako, uvjeti su bili nikakvi. Tko se bolje snađe, taj dobije meč", rekao je Gojo za B92.net.

Trava je specifična podloga, a mnogi, pa i Borna, ističu da jedino Novak Đoković zna kako se na pravi način na njoj kretati.

”Svi smo mi kao djeca gledali... Goran osvojio Wimbledon, svi ćemo mi osvojiti Wimbledon. Onda dođeš tu i vidiš da je to zapravo ‘najpimplavija’ podloga na svijetu. Netko kaže brzo... Je brzo, zato što sam ja, ali i drugi igrači sporiji. Svi osim Đokovića. Ne možeš mijenjati smjer, stvarno je teško igrati na tome. Englezi i Australci su na travi igrali kao djeca. Ja kao žirafa, samo padam, ne znam gdje sam”.

Gojo je na velikoj sceni zablistao krajem 2021. na završnom turniru Davis Cupa, kada je s Hrvatskom stigao do finala, izbacivši Srbiju u polufinalu.

”Najboljih mjesec dana u mojoj karijeri. Negdje sam pogriješio, trebao sam izabrati timski sport. Imaš pet, šest, sedam ljudi, imaš s kime pričati i družiti se. A ovako sam stalno sam. Hajde, ovdje su mi i došli prijatelji, pa je super bilo. Igraš ATP u Stuttgartu, gleda te 50 starih Nijemaca. Mene boli briga, nemam neki žar. Dok sam studirao u SAD-u bilo je drugačije, stalno neki pritisak, pljuju te, energija je bila jaka. Ovdje smo svi mirni, svi smo u bijelom. Drugačije je, treba se priviknuti na profesionalni tenis. Ne mogu još uvijek reći da sam uspio. Koliko god sam bolji nego što sam bio. Kad igram Davis Cup onda te nosi. Igram s Lajovićem, vodim 4:1, izgubim set, nešto preglupo... Realno danas bih se raspao kao kokica da mi se to dogodilo, a tamo sam samo nastavio. ‘Šta ima veze, pogini tu ako treba’. To je taj pravi pristup sportu.”

Borna ističe da su ulaganja u sport u Hrvatskoj sve manja, a u tenis praktično nikakva.

"Realno ni ja nisam trebao biti tu gdje jesam. Nakon Davis Cupa u Madridu, dolaze svi ti političari, predsjednici Saveza, svi se smiju, hoće se slikati, a ja ne želim. Neću se slikati, zašto bih se slikao? Napravi jedan teren. Hrvatski tenis nema centar. Dolaze tu Borna Ćorić, Marin Čilić, u tom trenutku Top 20, mi dolazimo na pripreme i moramo se pripremati na terenu koji je zatvoren u teniskom klubu Zagreb. Ljudi kada dođu, umiru od smijeha, ne vjeruju da je to tako. I sad, što očekivati od hrvatskog tenisa? Ovo sve što se događa, tim momcima bi trebalo da se skine kapa. OK, Marin je malo, već je stariji, ne znam kako je bilo kad je bio mlađi. Ja sam npr. čist projekt svog rada. Nikad nisam bio gladan, moji su mi mogli platiti trenere. Ali, ima puno djece koji to ne mogu. A Savez i država ne rade baš ništa da to poprave. Za mene je ovo sve iskreno - čudo. Svi Hrvati bi trebali reći: ‘Ovo je najveće svjetsko čudo što mi radimo’. Dođemo i dobijemo Srbe u Davis Cupu. OK, to je jedan meč, sve se može okrenuti. Ali, gdje smo mi u odnosu na vas u tenisu? To je miljama daleko. Možemo se mi lagati, ali to je miljama daleko."

Čini se da je nogomet u Hrvatskoj puno popularniji od tenisa?

"Koji stadion imaš? Poljud na nešto sliči, ali isto mora na renoviranje. Maksimir? Što je ono? Osijek je sada napravio stadion. Igrači s naših prostora, vole i ginu za reprezentaciju, njima je to poseban motiv. Tako je i u nogometu, sve ide od samih igrača. Možda nitko ne bi bio dobar da imamo sistem haha... Ovako dođeš i grizeš, trudiš se, boriš se. Tko zna. Užasno je stanje. Ako neko hoće čuti, neka nešto napravi. Dajte nam bar dva terena za igru", zaključio je Gojo.

Borna Gojo dao je intervju za poznati i vrlo utjecajni srpski portal B92.net. Bio je vrlo otvoren nakon što je još u ponedjeljak ispao u 1. kolu od Nijemca Maximiliana Marterera.

"Ne znam što bih rekao, dođeš tu, sve super, najbolji centar na svijetu, najbolji turnir. Ali, opet, kad pogledam, ovakvi uvjeti – puše, kiša, hladno, staješ, pa igraš... Užasno mi je kad igram tako, uvjeti su bili nikakvi. Tko se bolje snađe, taj dobije meč", rekao je Gojo za B92.net.

Trava je specifična podloga, a mnogi, pa i Borna, ističu da jedino Novak Đoković zna kako se na pravi način na njoj kretati.

”Svi smo mi kao djeca gledali... Goran osvojio Wimbledon, svi ćemo mi osvojiti Wimbledon. Onda dođeš tu i vidiš da je to zapravo ‘najpimplavija’ podloga na svijetu. Netko kaže brzo... Je brzo, zato što sam ja, ali i drugi igrači sporiji. Svi osim Đokovića. Ne možeš mijenjati smjer, stvarno je teško igrati na tome. Englezi i Australci su na travi igrali kao djeca. Ja kao žirafa, samo padam, ne znam gdje sam”.

Gojo je na velikoj sceni zablistao krajem 2021. na završnom turniru Davis Cupa, kada je s Hrvatskom stigao do finala, izbacivši Srbiju u polufinalu.

”Najboljih mjesec dana u mojoj karijeri. Negdje sam pogriješio, trebao sam izabrati timski sport. Imaš pet, šest, sedam ljudi, imaš s kime pričati i družiti se. A ovako sam stalno sam. Hajde, ovdje su mi i došli prijatelji, pa je super bilo. Igraš ATP u Stuttgartu, gleda te 50 starih Nijemaca. Mene boli briga, nemam neki žar. Dok sam studirao u SAD-u bilo je drugačije, stalno neki pritisak, pljuju te, energija je bila jaka. Ovdje smo svi mirni, svi smo u bijelom. Drugačije je, treba se priviknuti na profesionalni tenis. Ne mogu još uvijek reći da sam uspio. Koliko god sam bolji nego što sam bio. Kad igram Davis Cup onda te nosi. Igram s Lajovićem, vodim 4:1, izgubim set, nešto preglupo... Realno danas bih se raspao kao kokica da mi se to dogodilo, a tamo sam samo nastavio. ‘Šta ima veze, pogini tu ako treba’. To je taj pravi pristup sportu.”

Borna ističe da su ulaganja u sport u Hrvatskoj sve manja, a u tenis praktično nikakva.

"Realno ni ja nisam trebao biti tu gdje jesam. Nakon Davis Cupa u Madridu, dolaze svi ti političari, predsjednici Saveza, svi se smiju, hoće se slikati, a ja ne želim. Neću se slikati, zašto bih se slikao? Napravi jedan teren. Hrvatski tenis nema centar. Dolaze tu Borna Ćorić, Marin Čilić, u tom trenutku Top 20, mi dolazimo na pripreme i moramo se pripremati na terenu koji je zatvoren u teniskom klubu Zagreb. Ljudi kada dođu, umiru od smijeha, ne vjeruju da je to tako. I sad, što očekivati od hrvatskog tenisa? Ovo sve što se događa, tim momcima bi trebalo da se skine kapa. OK, Marin je malo, već je stariji, ne znam kako je bilo kad je bio mlađi. Ja sam npr. čist projekt svog rada. Nikad nisam bio gladan, moji su mi mogli platiti trenere. Ali, ima puno djece koji to ne mogu. A Savez i država ne rade baš ništa da to poprave. Za mene je ovo sve iskreno - čudo. Svi Hrvati bi trebali reći: ‘Ovo je najveće svjetsko čudo što mi radimo’. Dođemo i dobijemo Srbe u Davis Cupu. OK, to je jedan meč, sve se može okrenuti. Ali, gdje smo mi u odnosu na vas u tenisu? To je miljama daleko. Možemo se mi lagati, ali to je miljama daleko."

Čini se da je nogomet u Hrvatskoj puno popularniji od tenisa?

"Koji stadion imaš? Poljud na nešto sliči, ali isto mora na renoviranje. Maksimir? Što je ono? Osijek je sada napravio stadion. Igrači s naših prostora, vole i ginu za reprezentaciju, njima je to poseban motiv. Tako je i u nogometu, sve ide od samih igrača. Možda nitko ne bi bio dobar da imamo sistem haha... Ovako dođeš i grizeš, trudiš se, boriš se. Tko zna. Užasno je stanje. Ako neko hoće čuti, neka nešto napravi. Dajte nam bar dva terena za igru", zaključio je Gojo.

Borna Gojo dao je intervju za poznati i vrlo utjecajni srpski portal B92.net. Bio je vrlo otvoren nakon što je još u ponedjeljak ispao u 1. kolu od Nijemca Maximiliana Marterera.

"Ne znam što bih rekao, dođeš tu, sve super, najbolji centar na svijetu, najbolji turnir. Ali, opet, kad pogledam, ovakvi uvjeti – puše, kiša, hladno, staješ, pa igraš... Užasno mi je kad igram tako, uvjeti su bili nikakvi. Tko se bolje snađe, taj dobije meč", rekao je Gojo za B92.net.
