Tko kaže da se sati provedeni pred ekranom na igricama ne isplate? Pitajte samo Williama Stilla. Ako vam njegovo ime još uvijek ne zvoni, vjerujte, u skoroj budućnosti hoće. Riječ je engleskom Belgijcu ili obrnuto, kako vam drago. Trener je francuskog prvoligaša Stade Reimsa, a ujedno i najmlađi u svim ligama „petice”. Tek mu je 30!

Sa svojim Reimsom radi čuda. Posljednje je bilo na najtežem mogućem gostovanju, onom u Parizu. Moćnom PSG-u su na Parku prinčeva iščupali bod. I to pogotkom u petoj minuti sudačke nadoknade. U 12 utakmica na klupi Reimsa još nije pretrpio poraz.

S dna poretka to ih je vinulo do 11. mjesta s 26 bodova, samo dva manje od Nice i Lyona. Sjajno ide mladom stručnjaku koji je u Francusku stigao iz Belgije, a trenerski angažman imao je i u Engleskoj. Počeo je kao trener mlađih uzrasta Preston North Enda. Ulogu asistenta imao je na klupi Liersea, Standarda i Beerschota.

U Reimsu je dvaput bio pomoćnik, a kormilo u ruke konačno je dobio nakon otkaza Španjolcu Oscaru Garciji. U klubu su prvotno odlučili kako će Still biti privremeno rješenje, dok se ne pronađe novo ime. No, nakon niza od pet utakmica bez poraza, jednostavno ga nisu mogli potjerati. Still je tako ustoličen kao glavni. Uprava nije pogriješila, rezultatski je preporodio nekoć slavni klub.

Dužni smo vam objašnjenje s početka teksta. Kakve veze imaju video igre s ovom pričom? Mladi stručnjak je, naime, priznao da se za trenera „školovao” na kultnoj igri Football Manager. Bio je zaljubljenik u ovu igru i nogomet. Strast je s godinama prerasla u ambiciju, a ona u konačni cilj. Will Still je želio postati trener. I u tome je, bogme, uspio...

Za strjeloviti uspon mladog trenera ipak se plaća cijena. I to paprena. Njegov uspjeh se dogodio toliko brzo i naglo da William nije uspio položiti za UEFA-inu trenersku „pro licencu”. Njegov Reims zato nakon svake utakmice mora platiti kaznu od 25.000 eura. Jer zakon je nemilosrdan. Prema njemu, svaki trener koji vodi klub u prvom razredu neke europske lige mora imati „pro licencu”.

Still će svoju dobiti, ali tek na ljeto. A do tada... UEFA-ina će blagajna raditi „cangr, cangr”... Francuzi su već izračunali kako će zbog ovoga Reims do kraja sezone platiti više od pola milijuna eura kazni. No, plaćat će ih s guštom, samo da nastavi nizati ovakve rezultate.

Jedna od najvećih stavki preporoda Reimsa je i forma engleskog napadača Folarina Baloguna. Francuska momčad 21-godišnjeg napadača dovela je iz Arsenala, a on je u 19 ligaških nastupa zabio 11 pogodaka. Posljednji, vrijedan zlatnog boda, baš PSG-u u gostima.

Društvene mreže za čas su preplavile snimke njegovih govora svojim igračima. Francuzi su oduševljeni, tvrde da zna kako „razgnjeviti” igrače, motivirati ih da se „bacaju na glavu”. Na jednoj ga se tako čuje kako igračima govori da „začepe” i prestanu prigovarati sucima.

- Što ste očekivali, da će suci na Parku prinčeva biti na našoj strani?

I za kraj – malo povijesti! Reims nipošto nije mali klub. Štoviše, s pravom ih možemo nazvati PSG-om, prije PSG-a! Pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća dominirali su francuskim nogometom osvojivši ukupno šest naslova prvaka. Proslavili su se i u Kupu prvaka. U prva dva izdanja tog natjecanja, dvaput su igrali u finalu, i oba puta bili poraženi od Reala.

Stare staze slave teško će dostići. No, klubu je živost unio Still ponovno ga učinivši konkurentnim.

Tko kaže da se sati provedeni pred ekranom na igricama ne isplate? Pitajte samo Williama Stilla. Ako vam njegovo ime još uvijek ne zvoni, vjerujte, u skoroj budućnosti hoće. Riječ je engleskom Belgijcu ili obrnuto, kako vam drago. Trener je francuskog prvoligaša Stade Reimsa, a ujedno i najmlađi u svim ligama „petice”. Tek mu je 30!

Sa svojim Reimsom radi čuda. Posljednje je bilo na najtežem mogućem gostovanju, onom u Parizu. Moćnom PSG-u su na Parku prinčeva iščupali bod. I to pogotkom u petoj minuti sudačke nadoknade. U 12 utakmica na klupi Reimsa još nije pretrpio poraz.

S dna poretka to ih je vinulo do 11. mjesta s 26 bodova, samo dva manje od Nice i Lyona. Sjajno ide mladom stručnjaku koji je u Francusku stigao iz Belgije, a trenerski angažman imao je i u Engleskoj. Počeo je kao trener mlađih uzrasta Preston North Enda. Ulogu asistenta imao je na klupi Liersea, Standarda i Beerschota.

U Reimsu je dvaput bio pomoćnik, a kormilo u ruke konačno je dobio nakon otkaza Španjolcu Oscaru Garciji. U klubu su prvotno odlučili kako će Still biti privremeno rješenje, dok se ne pronađe novo ime. No, nakon niza od pet utakmica bez poraza, jednostavno ga nisu mogli potjerati. Still je tako ustoličen kao glavni. Uprava nije pogriješila, rezultatski je preporodio nekoć slavni klub.

Dužni smo vam objašnjenje s početka teksta. Kakve veze imaju video igre s ovom pričom? Mladi stručnjak je, naime, priznao da se za trenera „školovao” na kultnoj igri Football Manager. Bio je zaljubljenik u ovu igru i nogomet. Strast je s godinama prerasla u ambiciju, a ona u konačni cilj. Will Still je želio postati trener. I u tome je, bogme, uspio...

Za strjeloviti uspon mladog trenera ipak se plaća cijena. I to paprena. Njegov uspjeh se dogodio toliko brzo i naglo da William nije uspio položiti za UEFA-inu trenersku „pro licencu”. Njegov Reims zato nakon svake utakmice mora platiti kaznu od 25.000 eura. Jer zakon je nemilosrdan. Prema njemu, svaki trener koji vodi klub u prvom razredu neke europske lige mora imati „pro licencu”.

Still će svoju dobiti, ali tek na ljeto. A do tada... UEFA-ina će blagajna raditi „cangr, cangr”... Francuzi su već izračunali kako će zbog ovoga Reims do kraja sezone platiti više od pola milijuna eura kazni. No, plaćat će ih s guštom, samo da nastavi nizati ovakve rezultate.

Jedna od najvećih stavki preporoda Reimsa je i forma engleskog napadača Folarina Baloguna. Francuska momčad 21-godišnjeg napadača dovela je iz Arsenala, a on je u 19 ligaških nastupa zabio 11 pogodaka. Posljednji, vrijedan zlatnog boda, baš PSG-u u gostima.

Društvene mreže za čas su preplavile snimke njegovih govora svojim igračima. Francuzi su oduševljeni, tvrde da zna kako „razgnjeviti” igrače, motivirati ih da se „bacaju na glavu”. Na jednoj ga se tako čuje kako igračima govori da „začepe” i prestanu prigovarati sucima.

- Što ste očekivali, da će suci na Parku prinčeva biti na našoj strani?

I za kraj – malo povijesti! Reims nipošto nije mali klub. Štoviše, s pravom ih možemo nazvati PSG-om, prije PSG-a! Pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća dominirali su francuskim nogometom osvojivši ukupno šest naslova prvaka. Proslavili su se i u Kupu prvaka. U prva dva izdanja tog natjecanja, dvaput su igrali u finalu, i oba puta bili poraženi od Reala.

Stare staze slave teško će dostići. No, klubu je živost unio Still ponovno ga učinivši konkurentnim.

Tridesetogodišnjak radi čuda na klupi francuskog Reimsa: za trenera se ‘školovao’ na Football Manageru

Tko kaže da se sati provedeni pred ekranom na igricama ne isplate? Pitajte samo Williama Stilla. Ako vam njegovo ime još uvijek ne zvoni, vjerujte, u skoroj budućnosti hoće. Riječ je engleskom Belgijcu ili obrnuto, kako vam drago. Trener je francuskog prvoligaša Stade Reimsa, a ujedno i najmlađi u svim ligama „petice”. Tek mu je 30!

Sa svojim Reimsom radi čuda. Posljednje je bilo na najtežem mogućem gostovanju, onom u Parizu. Moćnom PSG-u su na Parku prinčeva iščupali bod. I to pogotkom u petoj minuti sudačke nadoknade. U 12 utakmica na klupi Reimsa još nije pretrpio poraz.

S dna poretka to ih je vinulo do 11. mjesta s 26 bodova, samo dva manje od Nice i Lyona. Sjajno ide mladom stručnjaku koji je u Francusku stigao iz Belgije, a trenerski angažman imao je i u Englesko...
