Diljem svijeta privode se kraju kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvu u Kataru, a jako je zanimljivo u CONCACAF grupi, kvalifikacijama koje pokrivaju Sjevernu i Središnju Ameriku.

Tamo je tri kola prije kraja pomalo iznenađujuće u vodstvu Kanada s 24 boda, a slijede SAD i Meksiko s po 21 bodom. Te tri reprezentacije drže mjesta koja direktno vode na Mundjial dok je na četvrtom, onom koje vodi u dodatne kvalifikacije, Panama. Zbog male bodovne razlike svaka utakmica je iznimno važna pa je tako bilo i s onom koja se sinoć igrala između SAD-a i posljednjeplasiranog Hondurasa, pišu Sportske novosti.

Amerikanci su pobijedili s 3:0, a utakmica se igrala u Minnesoti u nevjerojatnim, pomalo ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima. Naime, temperatura je za vrijeme utakmice iznosila između -16 i -19 stupnjeva Celzijusa, a naleti vjetra su u nekim trenucima činili da se osjeća kao da je temperatura još 9 stupnjeva niža.

"Smrzavam se. Jedva čekam da dođem u svlačionicu", kratko je nakon utakmice rekao Christian Pulisic koji je postigao treći gol na utakmici.

I dok je i Amerikancima bilo hladno, možete misliti kako je bilo nogometašima Hondurasa koji ne samo da nikada nisu igrali u ovakvim uvjetima, nego vjerojatno nikada nisu ni osjetili ovakvu hladnoću. Naime, prema podacima WorldData najniža temperatura u toj državi u posljednje 72 godine izmjerena je u ožujku 2017. kada je jedna od tamošnjih mjernih postaja izmjerila temperaturu od 12,1 stupanj Celzijusov.

Nisu ni Amerikanci znali kako će se u SAD-u upravo događati ovakav hladni udar, ali su sigurno znali da će im vrijeme biti od koristi. Izbornik Hondurasa Hernan Dario Gomez je protestirao i prije početka utakmice.

"Nezamislivo je da svoju moć netko pokazuje dovodeći vas da igrate utakmicu u ovakvim uvjetima kako bi došao do priželjkivanog rezultata. Utakmica nije ni počela, ali jedva čekam da završi. Sport se igra zbog zabave, ali ovo je patnja", rekao je Gomez prije početka utakmice.

Koliko su ovi uvjeti bili nemogući za nogometaše Hondurasa pokazuje podatak da su dvojica, vratar Luis Lopez i napadač Romell Quioto, na poluvremenu zamijenjena zbog hipotermije, odnosno pothlađivanja tijela, a većina drugih je u pauzi primila infuziju kako bi mogli igrati u drugom poluvremenu. Hladnoću su najbolje opisala dva tv-komentatora koji su pokazali što se dogodi s vlažnom majicom simulirajući tako uvjete koji su imali nogometaši. Ta se majica naprosto zaledila, a da bi se nogometaši zaštitili, nosili su dodatne slojeve odjeće.

Američki izbornik Gregg Berhalter nije vidio problem u igranju utakmice u ovim uvjetima.

"Kada mi igramo u tim državama, onda su jako visoke temperature s 90% vlage u zraku. Igrači često pate od dehidracije i sve je to normalno u sportu. Mi smo ovu lokaciju odabrali da bi minimalizirali putovanja. Protiv Salvadora i Kanade smo igrali u hladnim uvjetima, nismo željeli za ovu mijenjati klimu", objasnio je Berhalter.

Diljem svijeta privode se kraju kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvu u Kataru, a jako je zanimljivo u CONCACAF grupi, kvalifikacijama koje pokrivaju Sjevernu i Središnju Ameriku.

Tamo je tri kola prije kraja pomalo iznenađujuće u vodstvu Kanada s 24 boda, a slijede SAD i Meksiko s po 21 bodom. Te tri reprezentacije drže mjesta koja direktno vode na Mundjial dok je na četvrtom, onom koje vodi u dodatne kvalifikacije, Panama. Zbog male bodovne razlike svaka utakmica je iznimno važna pa je tako bilo i s onom koja se sinoć igrala između SAD-a i posljednjeplasiranog Hondurasa, pišu Sportske novosti.

Amerikanci su pobijedili s 3:0, a utakmica se igrala u Minnesoti u nevjerojatnim, pomalo ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima. Naime, temperatura je za vrijeme utakmice iznosila između -16 i -19 stupnjeva Celzijusa, a naleti vjetra su u nekim trenucima činili da se osjeća kao da je temperatura još 9 stupnjeva niža.

"Smrzavam se. Jedva čekam da dođem u svlačionicu", kratko je nakon utakmice rekao Christian Pulisic koji je postigao treći gol na utakmici.

I dok je i Amerikancima bilo hladno, možete misliti kako je bilo nogometašima Hondurasa koji ne samo da nikada nisu igrali u ovakvim uvjetima, nego vjerojatno nikada nisu ni osjetili ovakvu hladnoću. Naime, prema podacima WorldData najniža temperatura u toj državi u posljednje 72 godine izmjerena je u ožujku 2017. kada je jedna od tamošnjih mjernih postaja izmjerila temperaturu od 12,1 stupanj Celzijusov.

Nisu ni Amerikanci znali kako će se u SAD-u upravo događati ovakav hladni udar, ali su sigurno znali da će im vrijeme biti od koristi. Izbornik Hondurasa Hernan Dario Gomez je protestirao i prije početka utakmice.

"Nezamislivo je da svoju moć netko pokazuje dovodeći vas da igrate utakmicu u ovakvim uvjetima kako bi došao do priželjkivanog rezultata. Utakmica nije ni počela, ali jedva čekam da završi. Sport se igra zbog zabave, ali ovo je patnja", rekao je Gomez prije početka utakmice.

Koliko su ovi uvjeti bili nemogući za nogometaše Hondurasa pokazuje podatak da su dvojica, vratar Luis Lopez i napadač Romell Quioto, na poluvremenu zamijenjena zbog hipotermije, odnosno pothlađivanja tijela, a većina drugih je u pauzi primila infuziju kako bi mogli igrati u drugom poluvremenu. Hladnoću su najbolje opisala dva tv-komentatora koji su pokazali što se dogodi s vlažnom majicom simulirajući tako uvjete koji su imali nogometaši. Ta se majica naprosto zaledila, a da bi se nogometaši zaštitili, nosili su dodatne slojeve odjeće.

Američki izbornik Gregg Berhalter nije vidio problem u igranju utakmice u ovim uvjetima.

"Kada mi igramo u tim državama, onda su jako visoke temperature s 90% vlage u zraku. Igrači često pate od dehidracije i sve je to normalno u sportu. Mi smo ovu lokaciju odabrali da bi minimalizirali putovanja. Protiv Salvadora i Kanade smo igrali u hladnim uvjetima, nismo željeli za ovu mijenjati klimu", objasnio je Berhalter.

‘Ovo je patnja, nedopustivo‘: Amerikanci ugostili Honduras na ekstremnoj hladnoći, neki igrači su morali primiti infuziju

Diljem svijeta privode se kraju kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvu u Kataru, a jako je zanimljivo u CONCACAF grupi, kvalifikacijama koje pokrivaju Sjevernu i Središnju Ameriku.

Tamo je tri kola prije kraja pomalo iznenađujuće u vodstvu Kanada s 24 boda, a slijede SAD i Meksiko s po 21 bodom. Te tri reprezentacije drže mjesta koja direktno vode na Mundjial dok je na četvrtom, onom koje vodi u dodatne kvalifikacije, Panama. Zbog male bodovne razlike svaka utakmica je iznimno važna pa je tako bilo i s onom koja se sinoć igrala između SAD-a i posljednjeplasiranog Hondurasa, pišu Sportske novosti.

Amerikanci su pobijedili s 3:0, a utakmica se igrala u Minnesoti u nevjerojatnim, pomalo ekstremnim vremenskim uvjetima. Naime, temperatura je za vrijeme utakmice iznosila između -16 i -19 ...
