U derbi utakmici drugog kola skupine B Afričkog nogometnog prvenstva Egipat i Gana su remizirali 2-2 premda su igrači Gane dva puta vodili.
Oba pogotka za Ganu je postigao 23-godišnji Mohammed Kudus, napadač West Hama. Prvi je dao u nadoknadi prvog dijela kada su stvari za Egipat izgledale vrlo loše. Osim rezultatskog minusa tada su ostali bez svog najboljeg igrača Mohameda Salah koji je ozlijedio lijevi bedreni mišić zbog čega nije mogao nastaviti susret.
Raspucale su se obje momčadi u nastavku pa je prvo u 69. minuti izjednačio Omar Marmoush, ali je samo dvije minute kasnije Kudus još jednom bio koban po Egipat te je zabio za 2-1. U 74. minuti grešku je napravio igrač Gane Bukari, Trezeguet je napravio više od pola posla te je asistirao Mostafi Mohamedu koji je zabio za konačnih 2-2.
Unatoč utakmici manje na vrhu ljestvice skupine B su s tri boda Zelenortski otoci koji u petak igraju ogled drugog kola protiv Mozambika koji ima jedan bod kao i Gana. Egipat je trenutačno na dva boda.
Ranije je u dvoboju drugog kola skupine A Nigerija s minimalnih 1-0 pobijedila domaćina prvenstva, reprezentaciju Obale Bjelokosti. Tvrda i nervozna utakmica odlučena je početkom drugog poluvremena kada je u 55. minuti Troost-Ekong realizirao jedanaesterac i time osigurao Nigeriji vrlo važna tri boda. Do kraja utakmice domaćin je napadao, a najveće je nade polagao u iznuđivanje jedanaesterca kojeg do kraja ipak nije dočekao.
U drugom susretu ove skupine Ekvatorijalna Gvineja je pobijedila Gvineju Bisao 4-2 uz odličnu partiju Emilia Nsue koji je postigao tri pogotka. Još je jedan za pobjednički sastav dodao Miranda. Na drugoj strani prvi pogodak Gvineje Bisao bio je autogol Orozca, dok je u 93. minuti Ze Turbo postavio konačnih 4-2 za Ekvatorijalnu Gvineju.
Ta reprezentacija zajedno s Nigerijom vodi na ljestvici te imaju po četiri boda. Tri ima Obala Bjelokosti, dok je bez boda Gvineja Bisao.
Osminu finala izborit će prvoplasirane i drugoplasirane momčadi iz svake skupine te četiri najbolje trećeplasirane reprezentacije.

U derbi utakmici drugog kola skupine B Afričkog nogometnog prvenstva Egipat i Gana su remizirali 2-2 premda su igrači Gane dva puta vodili.
Oba pogotka za Ganu je postigao 23-godišnji Mohammed Kudus, napadač West Hama. Prvi je dao u nadoknadi prvog dijela kada su stvari za Egipat izgledale vrlo loše. Osim rezultatskog minusa tada su ostali bez svog najboljeg igrača Mohameda Salah koji je ozlijedio lijevi bedreni mišić zbog čega nije mogao nastaviti susret.
Raspucale su se obje momčadi u nastavku pa je prvo u 69. minuti izjednačio Omar Marmoush, ali je samo dvije minute kasnije Kudus još jednom bio koban po Egipat te je zabio za 2-1. U 74. minuti grešku je napravio igrač Gane Bukari, Trezeguet je napravio više od pola posla te je asistirao Mostafi Mohamedu koji je zabio za konačnih 2-2.
Unatoč utakmici manje na vrhu ljestvice skupine B su s tri boda Zelenortski otoci koji u petak igraju ogled drugog kola protiv Mozambika koji ima jedan bod kao i Gana. Egipat je trenutačno na dva boda.
Ranije je u dvoboju drugog kola skupine A Nigerija s minimalnih 1-0 pobijedila domaćina prvenstva, reprezentaciju Obale Bjelokosti. Tvrda i nervozna utakmica odlučena je početkom drugog poluvremena kada je u 55. minuti Troost-Ekong realizirao jedanaesterac i time osigurao Nigeriji vrlo važna tri boda. Do kraja utakmice domaćin je napadao, a najveće je nade polagao u iznuđivanje jedanaesterca kojeg do kraja ipak nije dočekao.
U drugom susretu ove skupine Ekvatorijalna Gvineja je pobijedila Gvineju Bisao 4-2 uz odličnu partiju Emilia Nsue koji je postigao tri pogotka. Još je jedan za pobjednički sastav dodao Miranda. Na drugoj strani prvi pogodak Gvineje Bisao bio je autogol Orozca, dok je u 93. minuti Ze Turbo postavio konačnih 4-2 za Ekvatorijalnu Gvineju.
Ta reprezentacija zajedno s Nigerijom vodi na ljestvici te imaju po četiri boda. Tri ima Obala Bjelokosti, dok je bez boda Gvineja Bisao.
Osminu finala izborit će prvoplasirane i drugoplasirane momčadi iz svake skupine te četiri najbolje trećeplasirane reprezentacije.
