Urugvajac Gustavo Matosas dao je ostavku na dužnost izbornika nogometne reprezentacije Kostarike, obrazlažući svoju odluku riječima da mu je to dosadan posao.

"Nisam znao da je biti izbornik tako dosadan posao", rekao je Matosas na konferenciji za novinare na kojoj je bio i predsjednik Nogometnog saveza Kostarike Rodolfo Villalobosa.

Bivši trener Penarola, Malage, San Lorenza, Racing Cluiba, Sao Pauloa, Lleide, Valladolida, Atletico Paranaensea kazao je kako se ne osjeća produktivnim kao izbornik.

"Teško je voditi momčad u kojoj nemaš svaki dan igrače na raspolaganju. Ponekad mislim da sam na odmoru. S igračima sam jedan tjedan svaka dva mjeseca, nisam mislio da će biti toliko teško. Nisam znao da ću imati toliko slobodnih dana, nemam dnevnu rutinu i "ubijam" se gledajući filmove i igre. To nisam ja", pojasnio je Matosas koji je na klupi Kostarike proveo 11 mjeseci i nije uspio proći grupnu fazu na nedavno održanom Gold cupu. Namjerava još sutra voditi Kostariku protiv Urugvaja i onda završiti posao izbornika Kostarike.

Pod 52-godišnjim Matosasom Kostarika je pobijedila u tri od osam utakmica, uključujući i iznenađujući poraz od Haitija u grupi na Gold Cupu. Istovremeno su se pojavile glasine da preuzima meksički Atletico San Luis.

Urugvajac Gustavo Matosas dao je ostavku na dužnost izbornika nogometne reprezentacije Kostarike, obrazlažući svoju odluku riječima da mu je to dosadan posao.

"Nisam znao da je biti izbornik tako dosadan posao", rekao je Matosas na konferenciji za novinare na kojoj je bio i predsjednik Nogometnog saveza Kostarike Rodolfo Villalobosa.

Bivši trener Penarola, Malage, San Lorenza, Racing Cluiba, Sao Pauloa, Lleide, Valladolida, Atletico Paranaensea kazao je kako se ne osjeća produktivnim kao izbornik.

"Teško je voditi momčad u kojoj nemaš svaki dan igrače na raspolaganju. Ponekad mislim da sam na odmoru. S igračima sam jedan tjedan svaka dva mjeseca, nisam mislio da će biti toliko teško. Nisam znao da ću imati toliko slobodnih dana, nemam dnevnu rutinu i "ubijam" se gledajući filmove i igre. To nisam ja", pojasnio je Matosas koji je na klupi Kostarike proveo 11 mjeseci i nije uspio proći grupnu fazu na nedavno održanom Gold cupu. Namjerava još sutra voditi Kostariku protiv Urugvaja i onda završiti posao izbornika Kostarike.

Pod 52-godišnjim Matosasom Kostarika je pobijedila u tri od osam utakmica, uključujući i iznenađujući poraz od Haitija u grupi na Gold Cupu. Istovremeno su se pojavile glasine da preuzima meksički Atletico San Luis.
