Rukometni klub Balić&Metličić iz Splita dobio je još jednu potvrdu dobrog rada. 

U osmini finala Hrvatskog kupa izbacio je prvoligaša Umag i plasirao se u četvrtfinale! Ispala je to čak i uvjerljiva pobjeda 35:28 koja je odjeknula u našim rukometnim krugovima.

- Ovo nam je najveći rezultat i pokazatelj da radimo dobro. Očito nismo znali koliko zapravo možemo. Lijepa je ovo nagrada momcima - kaže nam trener i naš proslavljeni rukometaš Petar Metličić čija je momčad petoplasirana u Prvoj ligi Jug (drugi rang). Umag je pretposljednji u Paket24 Premijer ligi.

Gosti su na Gripama bolje otvorili susret vodstvima 6:2 i 11:7, no već do poluvremena Splićani su preokrenuli (16:15). U drugom dijelu Balićev i Metličićev sastav konstantno je vodio dva-tri gola razlike, da bi zadnjih sedam minuta igre zaključio serijom 6:1.

- Rezultat je možda preuvjerljiv. Kad smo gubili četiri gola razlike nisam imao osjećaj da možemo okrenuti, ali dečki su se sjajno borili. U drugom dijelu stalno smo vodili, a onda se u finišu Umag raspao - komentira Metličić.

Tvornica talenata

S obzirom na to da je Balić&Metličić pobijedio prvoligaša, znači li to da je spreman i za najviši razred?

- Možda u nekoj bližoj budućnosti. Taj bi iskorak značio potpunu profesionalizaciju pogona i veća ulaganja, a to ne ovisi samo o nama. Naši su igrači studenti i školarci, pa bi nam svakako trebalo i par iskusnijih pojačanja. Ova je liga njima trenutno po mjeri, a što će biti u budućnosti vidjet ćemo.

Već godinama Balić&Metličić proizvodi nadarene rukometaše, a jedan takav - Mateo Maraš - prošle je godine ostvario transfer u Eurofarm Pelister u Sjevernu Makedoniju. Njegov odlazak očito nije negativno utjecao na rezultate jer ima tu još talentiranih momaka.

- Imamo nekoliko reprezentativaca u mlađim uzrastima poput Vladića, Kozine, Lučina i Luketina. Većina su 2002. godište, a jedan iz Zadra, Dujić, godinu je mlađi i već igra jako dobro. Dobro se radi, zadovoljni smo - smatra Metličić.

U ždrijebu četvrtfinala Balić&Metličić može igrati i protiv naših najjačih klubova PPD Zagreba ili Nexea koji tek moraju izboriti prolaz, ali to je stvar formalnosti. Mogući su dvoboji još sa Spačvom, Sesvetama, Dubravom i trećeligašem Slatinom, ali i s Ribolom Kaštela koja 1. travnja dočekuje Poreč. Pitali smo Peru bi li radije Zagreb ili Nexe, što bi njegovim igračima bio jedinstven doživljaj, ili suparnika protiv kojeg bi imali šansu pobijediti.

- Bilo bi čudo otići na Final Four. S jedne strane protiv Zagreba ili Nexea dečki bi osjetili jedan sasvim novi nivo, ali ipak bih volio dobiti nekog protiv koga možemo igrati - poželio je Metličić.

Rukometni klub Balić&Metličić iz Splita dobio je još jednu potvrdu dobrog rada. 

U osmini finala Hrvatskog kupa izbacio je prvoligaša Umag i plasirao se u četvrtfinale! Ispala je to čak i uvjerljiva pobjeda 35:28 koja je odjeknula u našim rukometnim krugovima.

- Ovo nam je najveći rezultat i pokazatelj da radimo dobro. Očito nismo znali koliko zapravo možemo. Lijepa je ovo nagrada momcima - kaže nam trener i naš proslavljeni rukometaš Petar Metličić čija je momčad petoplasirana u Prvoj ligi Jug (drugi rang). Umag je pretposljednji u Paket24 Premijer ligi.

Gosti su na Gripama bolje otvorili susret vodstvima 6:2 i 11:7, no već do poluvremena Splićani su preokrenuli (16:15). U drugom dijelu Balićev i Metličićev sastav konstantno je vodio dva-tri gola razlike, da bi zadnjih sedam minuta igre zaključio serijom 6:1.

- Rezultat je možda preuvjerljiv. Kad smo gubili četiri gola razlike nisam imao osjećaj da možemo okrenuti, ali dečki su se sjajno borili. U drugom dijelu stalno smo vodili, a onda se u finišu Umag raspao - komentira Metličić.

Tvornica talenata

S obzirom na to da je Balić&Metličić pobijedio prvoligaša, znači li to da je spreman i za najviši razred?

- Možda u nekoj bližoj budućnosti. Taj bi iskorak značio potpunu profesionalizaciju pogona i veća ulaganja, a to ne ovisi samo o nama. Naši su igrači studenti i školarci, pa bi nam svakako trebalo i par iskusnijih pojačanja. Ova je liga njima trenutno po mjeri, a što će biti u budućnosti vidjet ćemo.

Već godinama Balić&Metličić proizvodi nadarene rukometaše, a jedan takav - Mateo Maraš - prošle je godine ostvario transfer u Eurofarm Pelister u Sjevernu Makedoniju. Njegov odlazak očito nije negativno utjecao na rezultate jer ima tu još talentiranih momaka.

- Imamo nekoliko reprezentativaca u mlađim uzrastima poput Vladića, Kozine, Lučina i Luketina. Većina su 2002. godište, a jedan iz Zadra, Dujić, godinu je mlađi i već igra jako dobro. Dobro se radi, zadovoljni smo - smatra Metličić.

U ždrijebu četvrtfinala Balić&Metličić može igrati i protiv naših najjačih klubova PPD Zagreba ili Nexea koji tek moraju izboriti prolaz, ali to je stvar formalnosti. Mogući su dvoboji još sa Spačvom, Sesvetama, Dubravom i trećeligašem Slatinom, ali i s Ribolom Kaštela koja 1. travnja dočekuje Poreč. Pitali smo Peru bi li radije Zagreb ili Nexe, što bi njegovim igračima bio jedinstven doživljaj, ili suparnika protiv kojeg bi imali šansu pobijediti.

- Bilo bi čudo otići na Final Four. S jedne strane protiv Zagreba ili Nexea dečki bi osjetili jedan sasvim novi nivo, ali ipak bih volio dobiti nekog protiv koga možemo igrati - poželio je Metličić.
