Na današnjoj sjednici Gradskog vijeća izglasan je prijedlog pokretanja procesa kandidatre za Europske igre 2027., o čemu više možete pročitati OVDJE.
Nakon toga Željko Jerkov, predsjednik Hrvatskog kluba olimpijaca, bio je na raspolaganju novinarima za pitanja...
- Split ima jednu veliku stvar, Split je ambiciozan grad. Ja nisam Splićanin, ali sam prije točno 50 godina došao živjeti ovdje i Split, za razliku od ostalih hrvatskih gradova, ima jedan entuzijazam koji nema nitko.
Imamo li novca?
- Imamo, to smo već objasnili. Ovo je općehrvatski proizvod koji će se održati u Splitu. Bez garancije Vlade to ne može ići.
Imate li podršku Vlade?
- Imamo, već sam to rekao. Na otvaranju EP u vaterpolu premijer mi je rekao da kažem na Gradskom vijeću da imamo podršku Vlade. Ovo je projekt koji se "dinsta" šest godina, samo nismo izlazili s tim u javnost da nam netko ne bi ukrao ideju.
Tko bi ga ukrao? Jedini je Split zainteresiran...
- Nije točno, Budimpešta je također zainteresirana i to oštro. Beograd je također iskazao želju... Ovo su sportski jake igre jer će se europski sportaši na njima kvalificirati za OI.
Koliko će Split infrastrukturno dobiti?
- Koliko god mi hoćemo. Split može u tom projektu napraviti most od Sjeverne luke do Stinica, tko nam brani, ako Igrama to treba. Prvo će se srediti sportska infrastruktura koja se potrošila. Ima koliko hoćete toga za urediti samo mi trebamo iskazati volju za to.
Jesu li drugi gradovi onda nesposobni ako su iza organizacije igara ostali toliki minusi i ne žele ih?
- Želi Budimpešta i već je bila na pregovorima prije godinu dana, ali mi i dalje imamo prednost. Utjecaj gospodina Mateše je ogroman, jer on je praktički otac tih igara.
Igre neće platiti gospodin Mateša nego građani Splita...
- Ne, platit će ih Europa. Postoji plan Europske unije o financiranju sporta do 2027. godine...
To su samo mogućnosti...
- Jasno, to sve ovisi o našem interesu. Mi smo talentirani grad, prepun pametnih ljudi koji mogu u ovim uvjetima izvući novac iz EU kao što su i drugi izvukli. Mađarska je izgradila tri nacionalna stadiuma i 1.302 sportska objekta od europskih novaca.
Imamo situaciju sa Spaladiumom Arenom o kojoj vi sve dobro znate, imamo situaciju sa školjkom od vaterpola, u obje situacije imali smo jednoglasnu podršku gradskih vijećnika i znamo kako je to završilo. Zbog čega mislite da sada može biti drugačije?
- Ja znam sve o Spaladiumu, u njoj se dogodila jedna nesreća, to je bila kriza 2008. Ja sam bio u gradu kada je ovdje bio red investitora koji su čekali na sastanak s gradonačelnikom, kada je stigla 2008. nitko nije htio raditi. A to nitko na svijetu nije predvidio krizu. Da nije bilo krize, Arena bi bila završena i mi o njoj ne bi pričali. Ali sad je prigoda da je završimo. Imamo u projektu neboder za smještaj, parking za 1500 vozila...
Vi stvarno mislite da će sudski proces biti gotov na vrijeme?
- Ja se nadam. Ako ćemo sve gledati crno... Mogu izaći vani pa će mi pasti cigla na glavu. Ovaj grad je naučio pobjeđivati i raditi velike stvari i vjerujem da će to biti besprijekorne i velike Igre.
Koliko će sami proces kandidature koštati grad?
- Ništa, nula.
Dvoje zaposlenih na tome neće raditi besplatno...
- Vi meni pričate o dvoje zaposlenih?
To je novac građana Splita.
- Ali ako će se dobiti 150 milijuna iz europskih fondova zato što dvoje radi, je li to dobra investicija?
Prije glasovanja nismo čuli o nijednom trošku kandidature.
- Nula, zato i nema klasičnog kandidiranja, nego se ide na direktne pregovore.
Nije nula ako je dvoje zaposlenih...
- Ma nemojte mi pričati o dvoje zaposlenih, molim vas. Ja stvarno ne razumijem... Dali smo vam osnovne parametre, a ostalo ćete saznati kad uđemo u proces kandidature i kad budemo znali kolika je participacija, države, grada i žuanije te koliko će se dobiti iz EU fondova. To će ta dva zaposlena razradit.
Koliko će trajati taj proces kandidature?
- Sad krećemo, moramo razgovarati s Vladom i žuapnijom. Poslije toga idemo u Rim i do Nove godine bi to moglo biti završeno - zaključio je Jerkov.

Na današnjoj sjednici Gradskog vijeća izglasan je prijedlog pokretanja procesa kandidatre za Europske igre 2027., o čemu više možete pročitati OVDJE.
Nakon toga Željko Jerkov, predsjednik Hrvatskog kluba olimpijaca, bio je na raspolaganju novinarima za pitanja...
- Split ima jednu veliku stvar, Split je ambiciozan grad. Ja nisam Splićanin, ali sam prije točno 50 godina došao živjeti ovdje i Split, za razliku od ostalih hrvatskih gradova, ima jedan entuzijazam koji nema nitko.
Imamo li novca?
- Imamo, to smo već objasnili. Ovo je općehrvatski proizvod koji će se održati u Splitu. Bez garancije Vlade to ne može ići.
Imate li podršku Vlade?
- Imamo, već sam to rekao. Na otvaranju EP u vaterpolu premijer mi je rekao da kažem na Gradskom vijeću da imamo podršku Vlade. Ovo je projekt koji se "dinsta" šest godina, samo nismo izlazili s tim u javnost da nam netko ne bi ukrao ideju.
Tko bi ga ukrao? Jedini je Split zainteresiran...
- Nije točno, Budimpešta je također zainteresirana i to oštro. Beograd je također iskazao želju... Ovo su sportski jake igre jer će se europski sportaši na njima kvalificirati za OI.
Koliko će Split infrastrukturno dobiti?
- Koliko god mi hoćemo. Split može u tom projektu napraviti most od Sjeverne luke do Stinica, tko nam brani, ako Igrama to treba. Prvo će se srediti sportska infrastruktura koja se potrošila. Ima koliko hoćete toga za urediti samo mi trebamo iskazati volju za to.
Jesu li drugi gradovi onda nesposobni ako su iza organizacije igara ostali toliki minusi i ne žele ih?
- Želi Budimpešta i već je bila na pregovorima prije godinu dana, ali mi i dalje imamo prednost. Utjecaj gospodina Mateše je ogroman, jer on je praktički otac tih igara.
Igre neće platiti gospodin Mateša nego građani Splita...
- Ne, platit će ih Europa. Postoji plan Europske unije o financiranju sporta do 2027. godine...
To su samo mogućnosti...
- Jasno, to sve ovisi o našem interesu. Mi smo talentirani grad, prepun pametnih ljudi koji mogu u ovim uvjetima izvući novac iz EU kao što su i drugi izvukli. Mađarska je izgradila tri nacionalna stadiuma i 1.302 sportska objekta od europskih novaca.
Imamo situaciju sa Spaladiumom Arenom o kojoj vi sve dobro znate, imamo situaciju sa školjkom od vaterpola, u obje situacije imali smo jednoglasnu podršku gradskih vijećnika i znamo kako je to završilo. Zbog čega mislite da sada može biti drugačije?
- Ja znam sve o Spaladiumu, u njoj se dogodila jedna nesreća, to je bila kriza 2008. Ja sam bio u gradu kada je ovdje bio red investitora koji su čekali na sastanak s gradonačelnikom, kada je stigla 2008. nitko nije htio raditi. A to nitko na svijetu nije predvidio krizu. Da nije bilo krize, Arena bi bila završena i mi o njoj ne bi pričali. Ali sad je prigoda da je završimo. Imamo u projektu neboder za smještaj, parking za 1500 vozila...
Vi stvarno mislite da će sudski proces biti gotov na vrijeme?
- Ja se nadam. Ako ćemo sve gledati crno... Mogu izaći vani pa će mi pasti cigla na glavu. Ovaj grad je naučio pobjeđivati i raditi velike stvari i vjerujem da će to biti besprijekorne i velike Igre.
Koliko će sami proces kandidature koštati grad?
- Ništa, nula.
Dvoje zaposlenih na tome neće raditi besplatno...
- Vi meni pričate o dvoje zaposlenih?
To je novac građana Splita.
- Ali ako će se dobiti 150 milijuna iz europskih fondova zato što dvoje radi, je li to dobra investicija?
Prije glasovanja nismo čuli o nijednom trošku kandidature.
- Nula, zato i nema klasičnog kandidiranja, nego se ide na direktne pregovore.
Nije nula ako je dvoje zaposlenih...
- Ma nemojte mi pričati o dvoje zaposlenih, molim vas. Ja stvarno ne razumijem... Dali smo vam osnovne parametre, a ostalo ćete saznati kad uđemo u proces kandidature i kad budemo znali kolika je participacija, države, grada i žuanije te koliko će se dobiti iz EU fondova. To će ta dva zaposlena razradit.
Koliko će trajati taj proces kandidature?
- Sad krećemo, moramo razgovarati s Vladom i žuapnijom. Poslije toga idemo u Rim i do Nove godine bi to moglo biti završeno - zaključio je Jerkov.
