S nestrpljenjem se čeka ta subota, 25. rujna, kad će s početkom u 11 sati krenuti 79. izdanje Mrdujske regate, najstarije i najmasovnije utrke krstaša na ovoj strani Jadrana.

Sve je spremno kako bi flota odjedrila rutu od 22 nautičke milje, sa startnom linijom ispred gradske luke, pa oko otočića Mrduje koji se nalazi između Brača i Šolte, te opet nazad u Split, poluokret oko bove postavljene podno splitskog Sustipana i kroz ciljnu liniju ispred Labudove đige. A onda na feštu ispred Labuda uz Marijana Bana.

A organizatori, splitski klub Labud, kojega također krasi prefiks - najstariji jedriličarski klub u Hrvata - očekuju i ove godine, unatoč recesiji, najmanje tristo brodova.

Naime, i oni su se potrudili pa startnine koje su lani smanjene, ostaju nepromijenjene s napomenom kako za najmanji brod iznosi tek 30 kuna. S naglaskom kako prijava i jedrenje na Mrduji ‘ubacuje’ sudionike u bubanj za već tradicionalnu Nagradu po sriću, gdje se može dobiti skuter Piaggio. Dakle, na startu se očekuje najmanje tristo brodova s cijeloga Jadrana, a kako prognoza najavljuje dovoljno čvorova juga možda padne i rekord - padne!

Naime, rekord najbrže jedrilice koja je projedrila rutu od 22 nautičke milje drži maksikrstaš Umago Shinninga iz 2008. godine sa skiperom Rajkom Kujundžićem. Oni su tada ‘skinuli’ rekord jedrilice Podgorka star 35 godina jedrivši dva sata i 16 minuta. Shinning jer i ove godine spreman za rekord, već u četvrtak je stigao u Split, a kormilo krstaša dugog 21,20 metara će na 79. Mrdujskoj regati imati u rukama Željko Perović s kojim će na palubi biti još 19 članova posade.

Ako rekord baš i ne padne, Shinning ide na osvajanje treće pobjede za redom, na hat-trick, nadajući se kako će se njihovo ime opet upisati na dnu svih dosadašnjih slavljenika na velikom pokalu Mrdujske regate.

Najveći konkurent bit će mu Dracomerx - Wild Joe za kojeg se smatra da je jedan od najbržih maksikrstaša dužine 18,50 metara na svijetu. Ovaj morski bolid imao je havariju na putu prema Splitu u kojoj su mu oštećena oba kormila, budući da je jedinstven po tome što ima kormilo i na prednjem dijelu trupa, pa posada od 16 članova s nestrpljenjem čeka popravak kako bi odradili barem jedan trening uoči starta Mrdujske regate.

Osim sraza na moru ova dva impresivna krstaša, 79. izdanje Mrdujske regate obilježit će i jedrenje posada gradova!

Mala Mrduja za optimiste

Nakon tzv. velike Mrduje slijedi tjedan poslije i Mala Mrduja za klasu optimist. Naime, flota od stotinjak jedriličarki i jedriličara u najmanjoj klasi, zajedrit će za pokal male Mrduje u spomen Borisu Vujnoviću u splitskom akvatoriju od 1. do 3. listopada.

Ujedno se već sastao i organizacijski odbor Mrdujske regate, one jubilarne 80. koja nas čeka sljedeće godine. Već su najavili kako će ta fešta od jedara biti spektakularna i neviđena do sada!

S nestrpljenjem se čeka ta subota, 25. rujna, kad će s početkom u 11 sati krenuti 79. izdanje Mrdujske regate, najstarije i najmasovnije utrke krstaša na ovoj strani Jadrana.

Sve je spremno kako bi flota odjedrila rutu od 22 nautičke milje, sa startnom linijom ispred gradske luke, pa oko otočića Mrduje koji se nalazi između Brača i Šolte, te opet nazad u Split, poluokret oko bove postavljene podno splitskog Sustipana i kroz ciljnu liniju ispred Labudove đige. A onda na feštu ispred Labuda uz Marijana Bana.

A organizatori, splitski klub Labud, kojega također krasi prefiks - najstariji jedriličarski klub u Hrvata - očekuju i ove godine, unatoč recesiji, najmanje tristo brodova.

Naime, i oni su se potrudili pa startnine koje su lani smanjene, ostaju nepromijenjene s napomenom kako za najmanji brod iznosi tek 30 kuna. S naglaskom kako prijava i jedrenje na Mrduji ‘ubacuje’ sudionike u bubanj za već tradicionalnu Nagradu po sriću, gdje se može dobiti skuter Piaggio. Dakle, na startu se očekuje najmanje tristo brodova s cijeloga Jadrana, a kako prognoza najavljuje dovoljno čvorova juga možda padne i rekord - padne!

Naime, rekord najbrže jedrilice koja je projedrila rutu od 22 nautičke milje drži maksikrstaš Umago Shinninga iz 2008. godine sa skiperom Rajkom Kujundžićem. Oni su tada ‘skinuli’ rekord jedrilice Podgorka star 35 godina jedrivši dva sata i 16 minuta. Shinning jer i ove godine spreman za rekord, već u četvrtak je stigao u Split, a kormilo krstaša dugog 21,20 metara će na 79. Mrdujskoj regati imati u rukama Željko Perović s kojim će na palubi biti još 19 članova posade.

Ako rekord baš i ne padne, Shinning ide na osvajanje treće pobjede za redom, na hat-trick, nadajući se kako će se njihovo ime opet upisati na dnu svih dosadašnjih slavljenika na velikom pokalu Mrdujske regate.

Najveći konkurent bit će mu Dracomerx - Wild Joe za kojeg se smatra da je jedan od najbržih maksikrstaša dužine 18,50 metara na svijetu. Ovaj morski bolid imao je havariju na putu prema Splitu u kojoj su mu oštećena oba kormila, budući da je jedinstven po tome što ima kormilo i na prednjem dijelu trupa, pa posada od 16 članova s nestrpljenjem čeka popravak kako bi odradili barem jedan trening uoči starta Mrdujske regate.

Osim sraza na moru ova dva impresivna krstaša, 79. izdanje Mrdujske regate obilježit će i jedrenje posada gradova!

Mala Mrduja za optimiste

Nakon tzv. velike Mrduje slijedi tjedan poslije i Mala Mrduja za klasu optimist. Naime, flota od stotinjak jedriličarki i jedriličara u najmanjoj klasi, zajedrit će za pokal male Mrduje u spomen Borisu Vujnoviću u splitskom akvatoriju od 1. do 3. listopada.

Ujedno se već sastao i organizacijski odbor Mrdujske regate, one jubilarne 80. koja nas čeka sljedeće godine. Već su najavili kako će ta fešta od jedara biti spektakularna i neviđena do sada!
