Hrvatski gimnastičari Anton Kovačević na preči i Robert Seligman na konju s hvataljkama izborili su finala Europskog prvenstva u rumunjskom gradu Cluj-Napoci.
Kovačević je kvalifikacije završio sa 4. ocjenom (14,166), Robert sa šestom (14,433), a prva rezerva za finale konja s hvataljkama je Matija Baron (14,283).
Bez finala zbog padova su ostali Filip Ude (38. mjesto sa 13,300 bodova) i Leonardo Kušan (82. mjesto sa 10,900) na konju s hvataljkama te Tin Srbić (32. sa 12,933) na preči.
"Ne mogu biti pretjerano zadovoljan izvedbom, ali rezultat nije izostao. Ovo je bila kruna ove polusezone, sva natjecanja, i Svjetski kupovi u Bakuu i Dohi i pripreme s Filipom Udeom u Nedelišću, pokazale su da sam na pravom putu. Borio sam se u kvalifikacijama, ali za razliku od drugih, izdržao sam do kraja. Na kraju sam dobio solidnu ocjenu, a sve ovo biti će mi jako dobar poticaj za finale. Tamo je sve otvoreno. Možete očekivati borbu za medalje od mene", rekao je Seligman kojem je ovo sedmo europsko finale.
Iznenađenje konkurenciji svojim prvim finalom priredio je Anton Kovačević.
"Zadovoljan sam svojom izvedbom danas. Neke stvari su mogle još malo bolje, ali nikad se na natjecanju ne poklopi sve, osim u rijetkim situacijama. Ovo je bio neki moj trenutni optimum. Ova vježba i ovo finale su lijep rođendanski poklon",rekao je slavljenik koji je danas napunio 22. rođendan.
Njegov klupski kolega iz ZTD Hrvatskog Sokola, Matija Baron, drhtao je do gotovo posljednjeg vježbača, no na kraju mu je u pretposljednjoj rotaciji mjesto u finalu uzeo turski gimnastičar Ferhat Arican.
"Meni je danas bilo super. Odradio sam skoro cijelu vježbu od početka do kraja, samo je bila jedna greškica na drugom elementu, na spindlu. Na žalost, na kraju se uspostavilo da mi je to baš trebalo da uđem u finale. Ali, vjerujem da moje vrijeme tek dolazi - komentirao je Baron.
Filip Ude od Cluj-Napoce oprostio se zbog pada na najtežem elementu u vježbi
"Za mene je završilo EP. Nisam uspio. Pao sam na „busnariju“. Jednostavno, da ne filozofiram, bila je to klasična tehnička greška", kazao je Ude.
U četvrtak su na rasporedu kvalifikacije gimnastičarki, a naša najbolja vježbačica, Splićanka Ana Đerek nastupiti će na gredi i parteru.

Hrvatski gimnastičari Anton Kovačević na preči i Robert Seligman na konju s hvataljkama izborili su finala Europskog prvenstva u rumunjskom gradu Cluj-Napoci.
Kovačević je kvalifikacije završio sa 4. ocjenom (14,166), Robert sa šestom (14,433), a prva rezerva za finale konja s hvataljkama je Matija Baron (14,283).
Bez finala zbog padova su ostali Filip Ude (38. mjesto sa 13,300 bodova) i Leonardo Kušan (82. mjesto sa 10,900) na konju s hvataljkama te Tin Srbić (32. sa 12,933) na preči.
"Ne mogu biti pretjerano zadovoljan izvedbom, ali rezultat nije izostao. Ovo je bila kruna ove polusezone, sva natjecanja, i Svjetski kupovi u Bakuu i Dohi i pripreme s Filipom Udeom u Nedelišću, pokazale su da sam na pravom putu. Borio sam se u kvalifikacijama, ali za razliku od drugih, izdržao sam do kraja. Na kraju sam dobio solidnu ocjenu, a sve ovo biti će mi jako dobar poticaj za finale. Tamo je sve otvoreno. Možete očekivati borbu za medalje od mene", rekao je Seligman kojem je ovo sedmo europsko finale.
Iznenađenje konkurenciji svojim prvim finalom priredio je Anton Kovačević.
"Zadovoljan sam svojom izvedbom danas. Neke stvari su mogle još malo bolje, ali nikad se na natjecanju ne poklopi sve, osim u rijetkim situacijama. Ovo je bio neki moj trenutni optimum. Ova vježba i ovo finale su lijep rođendanski poklon",rekao je slavljenik koji je danas napunio 22. rođendan.
Njegov klupski kolega iz ZTD Hrvatskog Sokola, Matija Baron, drhtao je do gotovo posljednjeg vježbača, no na kraju mu je u pretposljednjoj rotaciji mjesto u finalu uzeo turski gimnastičar Ferhat Arican.
"Meni je danas bilo super. Odradio sam skoro cijelu vježbu od početka do kraja, samo je bila jedna greškica na drugom elementu, na spindlu. Na žalost, na kraju se uspostavilo da mi je to baš trebalo da uđem u finale. Ali, vjerujem da moje vrijeme tek dolazi - komentirao je Baron.
Filip Ude od Cluj-Napoce oprostio se zbog pada na najtežem elementu u vježbi
"Za mene je završilo EP. Nisam uspio. Pao sam na „busnariju“. Jednostavno, da ne filozofiram, bila je to klasična tehnička greška", kazao je Ude.
U četvrtak su na rasporedu kvalifikacije gimnastičarki, a naša najbolja vježbačica, Splićanka Ana Đerek nastupiti će na gredi i parteru.
