Na press konferenciji sanjkaške reprezentacije Hrvatske pred brojne medije je u ugodnom interijeru splitskog hotela "Ora" izašla Daria Obratov (28), prva Splićanka koja će nastupiti na Zimskim Olimpijskim igrama. Nakon što je na posljednjim dvijema Olimpijskim igrama imala veliku pegulu, bila prva "ispod crte", Obratov je prošlog tjedna potvrdila nastup u južnokorejskom Pjongčangu.

- Kao grad, kao Savez ponosni smo na Dariju. Iz Splita je ponovno stigao jedan povijesni rezultat za naš sport - rekao je izbornik i direktor bob i sanjkaške reprezentacije Hrvatske Ivan Šola.

- Živim svoj olimpijski san. Dugo sam radila na tome uz potporu ljudi oko mene, obitelji, suradnika. Bilo je mnogo razočaranja, lomova, potresa mozga, prevrtanja, ali sam se uz njihovu pomoć izdigla iznad toga. Vjerovala sam u plasman na Olimpijske igre. Naravno, ovo nije kraj. Želim što bolje odvoziti svoje četiri vožnje na Igrama – naglasila je Obratov.

Dvaput se nisu uspjela plasirati na Igre za dlaku?
- Bilo je to jako teško psihički izdržati. Još nekako kada sam bila prvo ispod crte u Vancouveru 2010., još sam bila nova u sanjkanju, ali te 2014. mi je zbog Sočija bilo jako teško – priznala je Obratov, ali ipak treća je bila sreća.

Nije baš uobičajeno da se Splićanka bavi sjevernjačkim, zimskim sportom?
- Mi Splićani uvijek posebno volimo ono što nemamo. Oduvijek sam voljela zimu, skijanje, ali i baš sve sportove. Već sa četiri godine sam trenirala atletiku, poslije dugo godina rukomet, ali zbog ozljeda koljena i čak osam operacija sam se prebacila na sanjkanje. Dr. Vlasta Brozičević iz Terma Selca me usmjerila na sanjkanje. Mama se nije slagala s time, a tata je govorio da me pusti, da ću se vratiti kada vidim tu led i brzinu. Ja sam se vratila i rekla im: "Ljudi, to je to!" – ispričala je kroz smijeh Obratov.

Jesi li se ikada sanjkala na npr. Kupresu?
- Nikada! Nikad nisam isprobala prirodno sanjkanje – priznala je splitska olimpijka.
- Ljudi često uspoređuju ovaj sport s običnim sanjkanjem na snijegu, a to nema veze jedno s drugim. Sanjke idu brže i od boba! Ovo je izuzetno ekstreman sport. Na igrama u Vancouveru imali smo i tragediju kada je Gruzijac izletio sa staze i udario u stup (nap.a. preminuo je od posljedica udarca). Tu stazu su korigirali, ali ovo je jako opasan sport – naglasio je Šola.

Kakav rezultat očekuješ u Pjongčangu?
- Nadam se da će mi vrijeme biti saveznik. Za razliku od ostalih koji imaju po tri-četiri para klizaljki ja imam samo jedne, za hladnije vrijeme. Nadam se da će biti -20 ili -30! Da budem na kraju u top 20 vjerujem da bismo svi bili zadovoljni – poručila je Obratov.
- Da bi netko osvojio medalju mora početi trenirati sa šest godina. Ne možeš osvojiti medalju, a početi trenirati sa 15 godina. Već je osvojila medalju što uopće ide na Igre. I da bude posljednja u Pjongčangu već je s obzirom na sve, i uvjete i godine treniranja, osvojila medalju! - naglasio je Šola.
Igre u Pjongčangu održat će se od 9. do 25. veljače.

Na press konferenciji sanjkaške reprezentacije Hrvatske pred brojne medije je u ugodnom interijeru splitskog hotela "Ora" izašla Daria Obratov (28), prva Splićanka koja će nastupiti na Zimskim Olimpijskim igrama. Nakon što je na posljednjim dvijema Olimpijskim igrama imala veliku pegulu, bila prva "ispod crte", Obratov je prošlog tjedna potvrdila nastup u južnokorejskom Pjongčangu.

- Kao grad, kao Savez ponosni smo na Dariju. Iz Splita je ponovno stigao jedan povijesni rezultat za naš sport - rekao je izbornik i direktor bob i sanjkaške reprezentacije Hrvatske Ivan Šola.

- Živim svoj olimpijski san. Dugo sam radila na tome uz potporu ljudi oko mene, obitelji, suradnika. Bilo je mnogo razočaranja, lomova, potresa mozga, prevrtanja, ali sam se uz njihovu pomoć izdigla iznad toga. Vjerovala sam u plasman na Olimpijske igre. Naravno, ovo nije kraj. Želim što bolje odvoziti svoje četiri vožnje na Igrama – naglasila je Obratov.

Dvaput se nisu uspjela plasirati na Igre za dlaku?
- Bilo je to jako teško psihički izdržati. Još nekako kada sam bila prvo ispod crte u Vancouveru 2010., još sam bila nova u sanjkanju, ali te 2014. mi je zbog Sočija bilo jako teško – priznala je Obratov, ali ipak treća je bila sreća.

Nije baš uobičajeno da se Splićanka bavi sjevernjačkim, zimskim sportom?
- Mi Splićani uvijek posebno volimo ono što nemamo. Oduvijek sam voljela zimu, skijanje, ali i baš sve sportove. Već sa četiri godine sam trenirala atletiku, poslije dugo godina rukomet, ali zbog ozljeda koljena i čak osam operacija sam se prebacila na sanjkanje. Dr. Vlasta Brozičević iz Terma Selca me usmjerila na sanjkanje. Mama se nije slagala s time, a tata je govorio da me pusti, da ću se vratiti kada vidim tu led i brzinu. Ja sam se vratila i rekla im: "Ljudi, to je to!" – ispričala je kroz smijeh Obratov.

Jesi li se ikada sanjkala na npr. Kupresu?
- Nikada! Nikad nisam isprobala prirodno sanjkanje – priznala je splitska olimpijka.
- Ljudi često uspoređuju ovaj sport s običnim sanjkanjem na snijegu, a to nema veze jedno s drugim. Sanjke idu brže i od boba! Ovo je izuzetno ekstreman sport. Na igrama u Vancouveru imali smo i tragediju kada je Gruzijac izletio sa staze i udario u stup (nap.a. preminuo je od posljedica udarca). Tu stazu su korigirali, ali ovo je jako opasan sport – naglasio je Šola.

Kakav rezultat očekuješ u Pjongčangu?
- Nadam se da će mi vrijeme biti saveznik. Za razliku od ostalih koji imaju po tri-četiri para klizaljki ja imam samo jedne, za hladnije vrijeme. Nadam se da će biti -20 ili -30! Da budem na kraju u top 20 vjerujem da bismo svi bili zadovoljni – poručila je Obratov.
- Da bi netko osvojio medalju mora početi trenirati sa šest godina. Ne možeš osvojiti medalju, a početi trenirati sa 15 godina. Već je osvojila medalju što uopće ide na Igre. I da bude posljednja u Pjongčangu već je s obzirom na sve, i uvjete i godine treniranja, osvojila medalju! - naglasio je Šola.
Igre u Pjongčangu održat će se od 9. do 25. veljače.
