I prije nego počne Svjetsko prvenstvo u atletici, koje se od 4. do 13. kolovoza održava u Londonu, provedeno je više od 600 doping testova, objavila je u ponedjeljak Međunarodna atletska federacija (IAAF).

Ti su uzorci namijenjeni za stvaranje profila u Atletskim biološkim putovnicama te za otkrivanje zabranjenih tvari, poput ljudskog hormona rasta.

Osim toga, još 600 testova urina bit će provedeno na samom natjecanju kako bi se "otkrile često korištene zabranjene tvari poput EPO-a i steroida".

U sklopu desetomjesečne kampanje testiranja izvan natjecanja, u kojima je sakupljeno više od 2.000 krvnih testova i oko 3.000 testova urina, ciljani su atletičari koji će se natjecati u Londonu.

Na taj se način nastavlja strategija koju je IAAF pokrenuo na SP u Helsinkiju 2005. godine i prema kojoj "se čuvaju svi uzorci sakupljeni na jednom prvenstvu kako bi se kasnije mogli ponovno testirati". Zahvaljujući tom ponovnom testiranju od 2005. godine otkriveno je 27 slučajeva dopingiranja.

I prije nego počne Svjetsko prvenstvo u atletici, koje se od 4. do 13. kolovoza održava u Londonu, provedeno je više od 600 doping testova, objavila je u ponedjeljak Međunarodna atletska federacija (IAAF).

Ti su uzorci namijenjeni za stvaranje profila u Atletskim biološkim putovnicama te za otkrivanje zabranjenih tvari, poput ljudskog hormona rasta.

Osim toga, još 600 testova urina bit će provedeno na samom natjecanju kako bi se "otkrile često korištene zabranjene tvari poput EPO-a i steroida".

U sklopu desetomjesečne kampanje testiranja izvan natjecanja, u kojima je sakupljeno više od 2.000 krvnih testova i oko 3.000 testova urina, ciljani su atletičari koji će se natjecati u Londonu.

Na taj se način nastavlja strategija koju je IAAF pokrenuo na SP u Helsinkiju 2005. godine i prema kojoj "se čuvaju svi uzorci sakupljeni na jednom prvenstvu kako bi se kasnije mogli ponovno testirati". Zahvaljujući tom ponovnom testiranju od 2005. godine otkriveno je 27 slučajeva dopingiranja.
