Užitak je bilo slušati ga. Jakša Miličić, čovjek s 97 godina na plećima više od sat i pol sudjelovao je u panel raspravi na temu Europskih igara u Splitu.

Ideja je da se Europske igre organiziraju u gradu pod Marjanom 2027. godine, iduće je godine domaćin Poljska, grad Krakow, a Split bi ovu multisportsku manifestaciju rado ugostio četiri godine kasnije.

Sjetio se Miličić svih problema i prepreka koje su oni imali od 1969. godine prema sada već legendarnoj 1979., godini koja je preobrazila Split, ne samo sportski, već infrastrukturno. A snagu MIS-a najbolje je opisao jednom sličicom.

- Imali smo tada niz projekata koji su bili kao vagoni, no nedostajala nam je lokomotiva koja bi sve te vagone/projekte povukla. A to je bio MIS - kazao je mladić Jakša.

Premijer najavio potporu

I MIS je te ‘79. povukao Split, pretvorio ga u grad. Sada se na pladnju nude Europske igre koje mogu probuditi “usnulog ljepotana”. Premijer Andrej Plenković već je najavio potporu, potvrdio je to i Josip Pavić ispred Ministarstva znanosti obrazovanja i sporta.

- Dugo nismo imali ovakvu multisportsku priredbu u Splitu, bio bi to veliki izazov i spremni smo ga podržati - kazao je naš bivši vaterpolski reprezentativac.

Bio je tu i kandidat za gradonačelnika Zoran Đogaš.

- Ja sam kao dijete šetao oko Poljuda u vrijeme MIS-a i nisam mogao vjerovati da će se to stići na vrijeme. U Splitu su ti glavni sportski objekti bili tek 15 do 20 posto ukupne izgrađenosti u gradu, tu su ukop pruge, tunel kroz Marjan, zemlja iz tunela se koristila da se napravi plaža na Kašteletu... Nevjerojatno mi je da netko ne prepozna ovu novu šansu koja nam se nudi - kazao je Đogaš.

- Ako se ovo dogodi, sport će počastiti ovaj grad nevjerojatnim stvarima. Prepoznao je to i predsjednik HOO-a Zlatko Mateša - kazao je predsjednik Hrvatskog kluba olimpijaca Željko Jerkov i poentirao:

- Bili smo u središtu Europskih olimpijskih odbora u Rimu i sve je na nama. Nema više klasične kandidature, ako se Split odluči da to želi, mi ćemo to dobiti. Tako je dogovoreno.

Eto lokomotive, kako je rekao Miličić, koja može povući i Žnjan, i POS-stanove i vau parkove, sadnju stabala, biciklističke staze... Samo treba vizija. Kakvu je imao Jakša Miličić 1979. I ta nam je vizija donijela grad. Zahvljajujući sportu. Pa vi vidite. ∙

Užitak je bilo slušati ga. Jakša Miličić, čovjek s 97 godina na plećima više od sat i pol sudjelovao je u panel raspravi na temu Europskih igara u Splitu.

Ideja je da se Europske igre organiziraju u gradu pod Marjanom 2027. godine, iduće je godine domaćin Poljska, grad Krakow, a Split bi ovu multisportsku manifestaciju rado ugostio četiri godine kasnije.

Sjetio se Miličić svih problema i prepreka koje su oni imali od 1969. godine prema sada već legendarnoj 1979., godini koja je preobrazila Split, ne samo sportski, već infrastrukturno. A snagu MIS-a najbolje je opisao jednom sličicom.

- Imali smo tada niz projekata koji su bili kao vagoni, no nedostajala nam je lokomotiva koja bi sve te vagone/projekte povukla. A to je bio MIS - kazao je mladić Jakša.

Premijer najavio potporu

I MIS je te ‘79. povukao Split, pretvorio ga u grad. Sada se na pladnju nude Europske igre koje mogu probuditi “usnulog ljepotana”. Premijer Andrej Plenković već je najavio potporu, potvrdio je to i Josip Pavić ispred Ministarstva znanosti obrazovanja i sporta.

- Dugo nismo imali ovakvu multisportsku priredbu u Splitu, bio bi to veliki izazov i spremni smo ga podržati - kazao je naš bivši vaterpolski reprezentativac.

Bio je tu i kandidat za gradonačelnika Zoran Đogaš.

- Ja sam kao dijete šetao oko Poljuda u vrijeme MIS-a i nisam mogao vjerovati da će se to stići na vrijeme. U Splitu su ti glavni sportski objekti bili tek 15 do 20 posto ukupne izgrađenosti u gradu, tu su ukop pruge, tunel kroz Marjan, zemlja iz tunela se koristila da se napravi plaža na Kašteletu... Nevjerojatno mi je da netko ne prepozna ovu novu šansu koja nam se nudi - kazao je Đogaš.

- Ako se ovo dogodi, sport će počastiti ovaj grad nevjerojatnim stvarima. Prepoznao je to i predsjednik HOO-a Zlatko Mateša - kazao je predsjednik Hrvatskog kluba olimpijaca Željko Jerkov i poentirao:

- Bili smo u središtu Europskih olimpijskih odbora u Rimu i sve je na nama. Nema više klasične kandidature, ako se Split odluči da to želi, mi ćemo to dobiti. Tako je dogovoreno.

Eto lokomotive, kako je rekao Miličić, koja može povući i Žnjan, i POS-stanove i vau parkove, sadnju stabala, biciklističke staze... Samo treba vizija. Kakvu je imao Jakša Miličić 1979. I ta nam je vizija donijela grad. Zahvljajujući sportu. Pa vi vidite. ∙

Miličić: Europske igre su lokomotiva koja može povući ključne projekte u Splitu

Užitak je bilo slušati ga. Jakša Miličić, čovjek s 97 godina na plećima više od sat i pol sudjelovao je u panel raspravi na temu Europskih igara u Splitu.

Ideja je da se Europske igre organiziraju u gradu pod Marjanom 2027. godine, iduće je godine domaćin Poljska, grad Krakow, a Split bi ovu multisportsku manifestaciju rado ugostio četiri godine kasnije.

Sjetio se Miličić svih problema i prepreka koje su oni imali od 1969. godine prema sada već legendarnoj 1979., godini koja je preobrazila Split, ne samo sportski, već infrastrukturno. A snagu MIS-a najbolje je opisao jednom sličicom.

- Imali smo tada niz projekata koji su bili kao vagoni, no nedostajala nam je lokomotiva koja bi sve te vagone/projekte povukla. A to je bio MIS - kazao je mladić Jakša.
