Pet medalja koje je na olimpijskim igrama 2000. godine osvojila Amerikanka Marion Jones, ali koje su joj oduzete nakon što je priznala da je uzimala doping, "mogle bi ponovno biti podijeljene u listopadu", izjavio je u petak predsjednik Međunarodne atletske federacije (IAAF) Lamine Diack.

Bivša atletičarka koja je priznala da se dopingirala u vrijeme osvajanja medalja i koja je osuđena na šest mjeseci zatvora jer je lagala o tome, osvojila je tri zlatne medalje (100 m, 200 m i štafeta 4x100 m) te dvije brončane (skok u dalj i štafeta 4x400 m) na Igrama u Australiji.

Ako medalje budu ponovno podijeljene, francuska štafeta (četvrta na Igrama) dobit ć broncu. A zlatna medalja na 100 m pripala bi u tom slučaju Grkinji Ekaterini Thanou, koja je i sama proglašena krivom zbog uzimanja dopinga.

"Mislim da će odluka o tome biti donesena u listopadu", rekao je Diack.

Marion Jones (33) je izašla iz zatvora u rujnu prošle godine nakon što je u zatvoru provela šest mjeseci zbog lažnog krivokletstva. Početkom 2008. osuđena je jer je lagala saveznim istražiteljima u tri navrata.

Pet medalja koje je na olimpijskim igrama 2000. godine osvojila Amerikanka Marion Jones, ali koje su joj oduzete nakon što je priznala da je uzimala doping, "mogle bi ponovno biti podijeljene u listopadu", izjavio je u petak predsjednik Međunarodne atletske federacije (IAAF) Lamine Diack.

Bivša atletičarka koja je priznala da se dopingirala u vrijeme osvajanja medalja i koja je osuđena na šest mjeseci zatvora jer je lagala o tome, osvojila je tri zlatne medalje (100 m, 200 m i štafeta 4x100 m) te dvije brončane (skok u dalj i štafeta 4x400 m) na Igrama u Australiji.

Ako medalje budu ponovno podijeljene, francuska štafeta (četvrta na Igrama) dobit ć broncu. A zlatna medalja na 100 m pripala bi u tom slučaju Grkinji Ekaterini Thanou, koja je i sama proglašena krivom zbog uzimanja dopinga.

"Mislim da će odluka o tome biti donesena u listopadu", rekao je Diack.

Marion Jones (33) je izašla iz zatvora u rujnu prošle godine nakon što je u zatvoru provela šest mjeseci zbog lažnog krivokletstva. Početkom 2008. osuđena je jer je lagala saveznim istražiteljima u tri navrata.
