Američka gimnastičarka Melanie Coleman preminula je nakon pada na treningu.

Pad se dogodio dok je vježbala na dvovisinskim ručama, a nesretna 20-godišnjakinja zadobila je ozbiljne ozljede leđne moždine.

Odmah nakon pada prevezena je u bolnicu, ali je dva dana kasnije podlegla ozljedama.

Coleman je smatrana jednom od najvećih mladih nada američke gimnastike.

- Sigurno da smo da će njezin duh, smijeh i duhovitost nastaviti živjeti u onima koji su je najviše voljeli, kao i kroz dar života onima koji to najviše trebaju - izjavila je njena obitelj u izjavu za javnost, naglasivši da će njene organe donirati.

Ovakve tragične priče su rijetke za gimnastiku, ali ovo nije prvi put da je nesreća rezultirala najgorim mogućim ishodom. Amerikanka Julissa Gomez nastradala je 1988.u 15. godini života. Nakon preskoka ostala je paralizirana, a od posljedica je preminula tri godine kasnije.

Američka gimnastičarka Melanie Coleman preminula je nakon pada na treningu.

Pad se dogodio dok je vježbala na dvovisinskim ručama, a nesretna 20-godišnjakinja zadobila je ozbiljne ozljede leđne moždine.

Odmah nakon pada prevezena je u bolnicu, ali je dva dana kasnije podlegla ozljedama.

Coleman je smatrana jednom od najvećih mladih nada američke gimnastike.

- Sigurno da smo da će njezin duh, smijeh i duhovitost nastaviti živjeti u onima koji su je najviše voljeli, kao i kroz dar života onima koji to najviše trebaju - izjavila je njena obitelj u izjavu za javnost, naglasivši da će njene organe donirati.

Ovakve tragične priče su rijetke za gimnastiku, ali ovo nije prvi put da je nesreća rezultirala najgorim mogućim ishodom. Amerikanka Julissa Gomez nastradala je 1988.u 15. godini života. Nakon preskoka ostala je paralizirana, a od posljedica je preminula tri godine kasnije.

Američka gimnastičarka Melanie Coleman preminula je nakon pada na treningu.
