Splitski klub olimpijaca održao je redovnu Skupštinu koju su predvodili predsjednik Milivoj Bebić i tajnik Josip Reić. Glavna tema bila je, naravno, ideja i akcija da se Split kandidira za domaćinstvo Europskih igara 2027. godine. 

Riječ je u multisportskom natjecanju po formatu sličnom kao i Olimpijske igre, ali ipak u znatno manjim „gabaritima”. Te su se igre već organizirale u Bakuu 2015. i Minsku 2019, a poljski Krakow domaćin je idućeg izdanja 2023. godine.

Splitska delegacija predvođena Bebićem, Reićem, Željkom Jerkovom, ali i splitskim dogradonačelnikom zaduženim za sport Antoniom Kuzmanićem, bila je u Rimu, u središtu Europskih olimpijskih odbora.

- Nevjerojatne su reakcije, svi su tamo oduševljeni inicijativom da se Igre organiziraju u našem gradu. Prepoznaju i legitimiraju Split kao izrazito sportski grad i vjerujem da su velike šanse da, ako se konačno odluči ići u tom smjeru, Igre i dobijemo – kazao nam je Željko Jerkov.

Cijela je priča u fazi „ispitivanja”, „skeniraju” se postojeći objekti i radi analiza koji bi to sportovi bili pogodni za Europske igre u Splitu. Taj dio programa uvelike ovisi o željama i specifičnostima domaćina kao i o postojećoj infrastrukturi.

- Intencija je kod Europskih igara da se iskoriste postojeći objekti, a ne grade novi, ako to nije neophodno – pojasnio je Jerkov.

Ulaganja su stoga i znatno manja nego kod Olimpijskih igara, a baš su ove Igre po mjeri Splita. Donijele bi novi zamah ne samo sportu, nego cjelokupnom životu grada, baš kao što su 1979. Mediteranske igre digle Split na novu razinu. Kroz mjesec – dva bi se ova tema trebala naći i pred gradskim vijećnicima, s pravim brojkama i konkretnim idejama, a onda bi se, ako Banovina da „zeleno svijetlo”, krenulo u akciju.

Splitski klub olimpijaca održao je redovnu Skupštinu koju su predvodili predsjednik Milivoj Bebić i tajnik Josip Reić. Glavna tema bila je, naravno, ideja i akcija da se Split kandidira za domaćinstvo Europskih igara 2027. godine. 

Riječ je u multisportskom natjecanju po formatu sličnom kao i Olimpijske igre, ali ipak u znatno manjim „gabaritima”. Te su se igre već organizirale u Bakuu 2015. i Minsku 2019, a poljski Krakow domaćin je idućeg izdanja 2023. godine.

Splitska delegacija predvođena Bebićem, Reićem, Željkom Jerkovom, ali i splitskim dogradonačelnikom zaduženim za sport Antoniom Kuzmanićem, bila je u Rimu, u središtu Europskih olimpijskih odbora.

- Nevjerojatne su reakcije, svi su tamo oduševljeni inicijativom da se Igre organiziraju u našem gradu. Prepoznaju i legitimiraju Split kao izrazito sportski grad i vjerujem da su velike šanse da, ako se konačno odluči ići u tom smjeru, Igre i dobijemo – kazao nam je Željko Jerkov.

Cijela je priča u fazi „ispitivanja”, „skeniraju” se postojeći objekti i radi analiza koji bi to sportovi bili pogodni za Europske igre u Splitu. Taj dio programa uvelike ovisi o željama i specifičnostima domaćina kao i o postojećoj infrastrukturi.

- Intencija je kod Europskih igara da se iskoriste postojeći objekti, a ne grade novi, ako to nije neophodno – pojasnio je Jerkov.

Ulaganja su stoga i znatno manja nego kod Olimpijskih igara, a baš su ove Igre po mjeri Splita. Donijele bi novi zamah ne samo sportu, nego cjelokupnom životu grada, baš kao što su 1979. Mediteranske igre digle Split na novu razinu. Kroz mjesec – dva bi se ova tema trebala naći i pred gradskim vijećnicima, s pravim brojkama i konkretnim idejama, a onda bi se, ako Banovina da „zeleno svijetlo”, krenulo u akciju.

Splitski klub olimpijaca održao je redovnu Skupštinu koju su predvodili predsjednik Milivoj Bebić i tajnik Josip Reić. Glavna tema bila je, naravno, ideja i akcija da se Split kandidira za domaćinstvo Europskih igara 2027. godine. 

Riječ je u multisportskom natjecanju po formatu sličnom kao i Olimpijske igre, ali ipak u znatno manjim „gabaritima”. Te su se igre već organizirale u Bakuu 2015. i Minsku 2019, a poljski Krakow domaćin je idućeg izdanja 2023. godine.

Splitska delegacija predvođena Bebićem, Reićem, Željkom Jerkovom, ali i splitskim dogradonačelnikom zaduženim za sport Antoniom Kuzmanićem, bila je u Rimu, u središtu Europskih olimpijskih odbora.
