Novi skandal prijeti Međunarodnoj atletskoj federaciji (IAAF) nakon što su u petak francuski dnevnik "Le Monde" i njemačka televizijska postaja ARD objavili priču da su dužnosnici IAAF-a primili stotine tisuća eura od ruskih dopingiranih sportaša obećavajući im "potpunu zaštitu".
"Francusko pravosuđe već godinu dana istražuje tvrdnje o korupciji u svjetskoj atletici. Senegalac Papa Massata Diack, sin bivšeg predsjednika Federacije (Lamina Diacka), obećavao je od kraja 2011. 'potpunu zaštitu' ruskim dopingiranim sportašima za novčanu naknadu", piše "Le Monde".
Najmanje je šestoro sportaša, tvrde Le Monde i ARD, platilo 2011. godine između 300.000 i 700.000 eura svaki da ne budu suspendirani i da mogu sudjelovati na Olimpijskim igrama u Londonu 2012.
Šest spomenutih sportaša su maratonka Lilija Šobuhova, brzi hodači Vladimir Kanajkin, Valerij Boršin (zlato na OI u Pekingu 2008.), Olga Kaniskina (zlato na OI u Pekingu 2008., srebro na OI u Londonu 2012.) i Sergej Kirdjapkin (zlato na OI u Londonu 2012.) te trkačica Julija Zaripova čija je specijalnost 3.000 m sa zaprekama(zlato na OI u Londonu 2012).
Lilija Šobuhova, koja je unatoč isplatama ipak suspendirana, pokrenula skandal tražeći povratak novca, a onda sve rekla Svjetskoj antidopinškoj agenciji (WADA).
Lista ruskih dopingiranih sportaša, koje je IAAF "pokrivao", sadži, prema izvorima iz ruskog pravosuđa, 23 imena.
Ruski atletski savez, bijesan jer nije dobio imunitete koji mu je obećan, zaprijetio je da će objelodaniti dogovor s IAAF-om 2014. Le Monde i ARD su prenijeli i korespondenciju tadašnjeg predsjednika Ruske atletske federacije Valentina Balahniševa i IAAF-a u kojem Rus prijeti da će sve otkriti.
"Dopustite mi da vas podsjetim da je od početka kontekst ovih šest slučajeva bio vrlo udaljen od svakog legalnog i etičkog okvira", piše Balahnišev "2011. kada smo se našli sa 19 slučajeva nenormalnih bioloških putovnica, među kojima su bili i neki olimpisjki pobjednici, predložili ste nam trgovinu A nazvati to trgovinom, vrlo je diplomatski. Radilo se o ciničnoj i surovoj ucjeni".
Bivši predsjednik IAAF-a Lamine Diack, kojeg se istražuje od studenog 2015. zbog korupcije i pranja novca, osumnjičen je da je u ovoj aferi primio 1,5 milijuna eura od Balahniševa.

Novi skandal prijeti Međunarodnoj atletskoj federaciji (IAAF) nakon što su u petak francuski dnevnik "Le Monde" i njemačka televizijska postaja ARD objavili priču da su dužnosnici IAAF-a primili stotine tisuća eura od ruskih dopingiranih sportaša obećavajući im "potpunu zaštitu".
"Francusko pravosuđe već godinu dana istražuje tvrdnje o korupciji u svjetskoj atletici. Senegalac Papa Massata Diack, sin bivšeg predsjednika Federacije (Lamina Diacka), obećavao je od kraja 2011. 'potpunu zaštitu' ruskim dopingiranim sportašima za novčanu naknadu", piše "Le Monde".
Najmanje je šestoro sportaša, tvrde Le Monde i ARD, platilo 2011. godine između 300.000 i 700.000 eura svaki da ne budu suspendirani i da mogu sudjelovati na Olimpijskim igrama u Londonu 2012.
Šest spomenutih sportaša su maratonka Lilija Šobuhova, brzi hodači Vladimir Kanajkin, Valerij Boršin (zlato na OI u Pekingu 2008.), Olga Kaniskina (zlato na OI u Pekingu 2008., srebro na OI u Londonu 2012.) i Sergej Kirdjapkin (zlato na OI u Londonu 2012.) te trkačica Julija Zaripova čija je specijalnost 3.000 m sa zaprekama(zlato na OI u Londonu 2012).
Lilija Šobuhova, koja je unatoč isplatama ipak suspendirana, pokrenula skandal tražeći povratak novca, a onda sve rekla Svjetskoj antidopinškoj agenciji (WADA).
Lista ruskih dopingiranih sportaša, koje je IAAF "pokrivao", sadži, prema izvorima iz ruskog pravosuđa, 23 imena.
Ruski atletski savez, bijesan jer nije dobio imunitete koji mu je obećan, zaprijetio je da će objelodaniti dogovor s IAAF-om 2014. Le Monde i ARD su prenijeli i korespondenciju tadašnjeg predsjednika Ruske atletske federacije Valentina Balahniševa i IAAF-a u kojem Rus prijeti da će sve otkriti.
"Dopustite mi da vas podsjetim da je od početka kontekst ovih šest slučajeva bio vrlo udaljen od svakog legalnog i etičkog okvira", piše Balahnišev "2011. kada smo se našli sa 19 slučajeva nenormalnih bioloških putovnica, među kojima su bili i neki olimpisjki pobjednici, predložili ste nam trgovinu A nazvati to trgovinom, vrlo je diplomatski. Radilo se o ciničnoj i surovoj ucjeni".
Bivši predsjednik IAAF-a Lamine Diack, kojeg se istražuje od studenog 2015. zbog korupcije i pranja novca, osumnjičen je da je u ovoj aferi primio 1,5 milijuna eura od Balahniševa.
