Željko Jerkov, košarkaški velikan, istaknuti sportski funkcionar, predsjednik Kluba olimpijaca, poslije debakla naše reprezentacije, pozvan je da kaže svoju presudu u odnosu na fijasko u kvalifikacijama za svjetsko prvenstvo, pišu Sportske novosti.

Njegova izreka je kratka, jetka, udarna:

- Ajte svi ća! Odmah. Nemate pravo da dalje ostajete na položajima, u vodstvu naše košarke.

Jerkov je svojim prijateljima, kolegama poručio, bez krzmanja, da se moraju pokupiti, prepustiti drugima da vade košarku iz ponora:

- Šest godina su na položajima, šest godina čekamo da se nešto pozitivno dogodi, šest godina naša košarka propada. Nisu uradili baš ništa dobro. Sad će neki drugi trebati vaditi naš ugledni, priznati sport, vraćati ga iz pepela, što će biti mukotrpni posao.

Javljaju se komentari kako je greška što se u posljednje vrijeme ipak nije posegnulo za stranim play makerom?

- Nema toga alibija, ne priznajem ga. Jednostavno je, mi i bez playa moramo pobijediti Finsku. Pa pogledajte Sloveniju, tamo se Dragić i Dončić smjenjuju u toj ulozi. Mi smo od šest utakmica jednu dobili, samo onu protiv Tunisa. Stalno čekamo da se kompletiramo i kad se to dogodilo opet ništa. Imamo dva ozbiljna NBA igrača Bogdanovića i Zubca, tu je Hezonja, Žižić, tu su mladi predvođeni Prkačinom, imali smo dovoljno snage da dobijemo Finsku.

Kako dalje?

- Gospoda koja su toliko vremena vodili našu košarku udarili su pest, dapače peščurinu svima nama, koji smo tu košarku, naravno zajedno i s njima kad su bili igrači, podigli na svjetsku razinu. Dakle, bili smo na ponos, sada smo na sramotu. Tu sada treba sjesti, razgovarati, dogovoriti se, naći pravac za ozdravljenje. Ali, ponovit ću, u tim pričama nema mjesta za Stojka, Dina, Joku, jer su oni, u prvom redu, sve prokockali. Valjda su toga svjesni.

Željko Jerkov, košarkaški velikan, istaknuti sportski funkcionar, predsjednik Kluba olimpijaca, poslije debakla naše reprezentacije, pozvan je da kaže svoju presudu u odnosu na fijasko u kvalifikacijama za svjetsko prvenstvo, pišu Sportske novosti.

Njegova izreka je kratka, jetka, udarna:

- Ajte svi ća! Odmah. Nemate pravo da dalje ostajete na položajima, u vodstvu naše košarke.

Jerkov je svojim prijateljima, kolegama poručio, bez krzmanja, da se moraju pokupiti, prepustiti drugima da vade košarku iz ponora:

- Šest godina su na položajima, šest godina čekamo da se nešto pozitivno dogodi, šest godina naša košarka propada. Nisu uradili baš ništa dobro. Sad će neki drugi trebati vaditi naš ugledni, priznati sport, vraćati ga iz pepela, što će biti mukotrpni posao.

Javljaju se komentari kako je greška što se u posljednje vrijeme ipak nije posegnulo za stranim play makerom?

- Nema toga alibija, ne priznajem ga. Jednostavno je, mi i bez playa moramo pobijediti Finsku. Pa pogledajte Sloveniju, tamo se Dragić i Dončić smjenjuju u toj ulozi. Mi smo od šest utakmica jednu dobili, samo onu protiv Tunisa. Stalno čekamo da se kompletiramo i kad se to dogodilo opet ništa. Imamo dva ozbiljna NBA igrača Bogdanovića i Zubca, tu je Hezonja, Žižić, tu su mladi predvođeni Prkačinom, imali smo dovoljno snage da dobijemo Finsku.

Kako dalje?

- Gospoda koja su toliko vremena vodili našu košarku udarili su pest, dapače peščurinu svima nama, koji smo tu košarku, naravno zajedno i s njima kad su bili igrači, podigli na svjetsku razinu. Dakle, bili smo na ponos, sada smo na sramotu. Tu sada treba sjesti, razgovarati, dogovoriti se, naći pravac za ozdravljenje. Ali, ponovit ću, u tim pričama nema mjesta za Stojka, Dina, Joku, jer su oni, u prvom redu, sve prokockali. Valjda su toga svjesni.

Željko Jerkov, košarkaški velikan, istaknuti sportski funkcionar, predsjednik Kluba olimpijaca, poslije debakla naše reprezentacije, pozvan je da kaže svoju presudu u odnosu na fijasko u kvalifikacijama za svjetsko prvenstvo, pišu Sportske novosti.

Njegova izreka je kratka, jetka, udarna:

- Ajte svi ća! Odmah. Nemate pravo da dalje ostajete na položajima, u vodstvu naše košarke.

Jerkov je svojim prijateljima, kolegama poručio, bez krzmanja, da se moraju pokupiti, prepustiti drugima da vade košarku iz ponora:

- Šest godina su na položajima, šest godina čekamo da se nešto pozitivno dogodi, šest godina naša košarka propada. Nisu uradili baš ništa dobro. Sad će neki drugi trebati vaditi naš ugledni, priznati sport, vraćati ga iz pepela, što će biti mukotrpni posao.
