Zvijezda Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving morat će propustiti najmanje pet utakmica, nakon što ga je vodstvo momčadi kaznilo zbog toga što je putem društvenih mreža promovirao film antisemitskog sadržaja, a za to se nije izravno ispričao. 

U međuvremenu su i Irving i Netsi donirali po 500.000 USD organizacijama i inicijativama koje se bore protiv mržnje i netolerancije u društvu, ali košarkaš nije izravno priznao svoju pogrešku u procjeni sadržaja kojeg je promovirao.

"Nisam nikoga želio povrijediti, Nisam ja taj koji je napravio dokumentarac", branio se Irving.

"Rekao sam vam što osjećam. Poštujem i prihvaćam sve pripadnike društva. To je moja pozicija... Ne mogu biti antisemitski nastrojen, ako znam od kuda potječem", poručio je Irving.

No, takvim njegovim istupom su ostali razočarani u vodstvu NBA lige, ali i u klubu koji mu je izrekao kaznu neigranja od najmanje pet utakmica.

"Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko dana pokušali smo u više navrata pomoći Kyrieju Irvingu da shvati štetu i opasnost onoga što je izrekao i poduzeo, što je počelo promoviranjem filma koji sadrži duboko uznemirujuću antisemitske poruke mržnje", stoji u priopćenju koje su izdali Brooklyn Netsi.

"Danas smo osjetili zabrinutost, kad je Kyrie propustio javno i nedosmisleno reći da ne podržava i ne dijeli antisemitske te priznati postojanje određenih dijelova u filmu koji propagiraju mržnju. To nije bilo prvi put da je dobio i propustio priliku pojasniti svoju poziciju. Takav propust je duboko uznemirujući, protivi se vrijednostima koje poštujemo kao organizacija i suprotno je ponašanju momčadi. Prema tome, smatramo da ga se u ovom trenutku ne može povezivati s Brooklyn Netsima."

Zvijezda Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving morat će propustiti najmanje pet utakmica, nakon što ga je vodstvo momčadi kaznilo zbog toga što je putem društvenih mreža promovirao film antisemitskog sadržaja, a za to se nije izravno ispričao. 

U međuvremenu su i Irving i Netsi donirali po 500.000 USD organizacijama i inicijativama koje se bore protiv mržnje i netolerancije u društvu, ali košarkaš nije izravno priznao svoju pogrešku u procjeni sadržaja kojeg je promovirao.

"Nisam nikoga želio povrijediti, Nisam ja taj koji je napravio dokumentarac", branio se Irving.

"Rekao sam vam što osjećam. Poštujem i prihvaćam sve pripadnike društva. To je moja pozicija... Ne mogu biti antisemitski nastrojen, ako znam od kuda potječem", poručio je Irving.

No, takvim njegovim istupom su ostali razočarani u vodstvu NBA lige, ali i u klubu koji mu je izrekao kaznu neigranja od najmanje pet utakmica.

"Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko dana pokušali smo u više navrata pomoći Kyrieju Irvingu da shvati štetu i opasnost onoga što je izrekao i poduzeo, što je počelo promoviranjem filma koji sadrži duboko uznemirujuću antisemitske poruke mržnje", stoji u priopćenju koje su izdali Brooklyn Netsi.

"Danas smo osjetili zabrinutost, kad je Kyrie propustio javno i nedosmisleno reći da ne podržava i ne dijeli antisemitske te priznati postojanje određenih dijelova u filmu koji propagiraju mržnju. To nije bilo prvi put da je dobio i propustio priliku pojasniti svoju poziciju. Takav propust je duboko uznemirujući, protivi se vrijednostima koje poštujemo kao organizacija i suprotno je ponašanju momčadi. Prema tome, smatramo da ga se u ovom trenutku ne može povezivati s Brooklyn Netsima."

‘Takav propust je duboko uznemirujući‘: Netsi suspendirali Irvinga zbog promoviranja filma antisemitskog sadržaja

Zvijezda Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving morat će propustiti najmanje pet utakmica, nakon što ga je vodstvo momčadi kaznilo zbog toga što je putem društvenih mreža promovirao film antisemitskog sadržaja, a za to se nije izravno ispričao. 

U međuvremenu su i Irving i Netsi donirali po 500.000 USD organizacijama i inicijativama koje se bore protiv mržnje i netolerancije u društvu, ali košarkaš nije izravno priznao svoju pogrešku u procjeni sadržaja kojeg je promovirao.

"Nisam nikoga želio povrijediti, Nisam ja taj koji je napravio dokumentarac", branio se Irving.

"Rekao sam vam što osjećam. Poštujem i prihvaćam sve pripadnike društva. To je moja pozicija... Ne mogu biti antisemitski nastrojen, ako znam od kuda potječem", poručio je Irving.
