Slobodan 'Piksi’ Subotić podnio je večeras čelnicima kluba ostavku na mjesto trenera Splita CO.
Nakon gotovo dvije godine provedene na kormilu košarkaša s Gripa koje je prošle sezone doveo do finala prvenstva Hrvatske iskusni stručnjak odlučio se zbog stanja u klubu povući s klupe. Nakon večernjeg treninga pripoćio je svoju odluku igračima.
Ipak s obzirom na prilike u klubu ova odluka je sve samo ne iznenađenje, te ju Subotić nije naglo donio.
Prije desetak dana već smo pisali o slabijoj finanicjskoj situaciji u klubu od očekivane i ponovno naraslim dugovanjima prema igračima koje su stručnom stožeru onemogućavale mirniji rad i upuštanje u priželjkivanu borbu u NLB ligi za plasman u Eurokup.
Prije mjesec dana uputio je čelnicima kluba pismo u kojem je spomenuo mogućnost odlaska. Subotiću se jučer navečer sve skupilo, te je tri dana nakon četvrtog uzastopnog poraza 'žutih’ u regionalnoj ligi odlučio reći dosta.
- Kada sam ovog ljeta odlučio ostati u klubu imao sam čvrtsa obećanja ljudi koji vode klub da će se financijska situacija popraviti u odnosu na stanje koje je vladalo proteklih sezona, ali do toga nije došlo. Jako mi je teško ovo napraviti, Split je moj grad. Uspjeli smo vratiti košarku na Gripe, ali ovako jednostavno više nije išlo, nije bilo očekivanog pomaka, stalno smo se vraćali na isto - rekao je razočarani Subotić te pojasnio.
- Nisam ovu odluku donio zbog niza poraza niti su u pitanju moja potraživanja prema klubu. Nikome ništa ne zamjeram niti ikoga optužujem za nešto, jednostavno nisam imao drugog izlaza.
- Hvala svima u klubu na dvije prekrasne godine, a i publici koja je stalno bila uz nas - rekao je Subotić koji se emotivnim govorom nakon treninga oprostio od igrača.
- Žao mi je što je do voga došlo, ali tako je valjda moralo biti. Želim im sve najbolje u nastavku natjecanja. U njima ima dosta potencijala i vjerujem da u karijerama mogu puno dobroga napraviti - rekao je Subotić.

Slobodan 'Piksi’ Subotić podnio je večeras čelnicima kluba ostavku na mjesto trenera Splita CO.
Nakon gotovo dvije godine provedene na kormilu košarkaša s Gripa koje je prošle sezone doveo do finala prvenstva Hrvatske iskusni stručnjak odlučio se zbog stanja u klubu povući s klupe. Nakon večernjeg treninga pripoćio je svoju odluku igračima.
Ipak s obzirom na prilike u klubu ova odluka je sve samo ne iznenađenje, te ju Subotić nije naglo donio.
Prije desetak dana već smo pisali o slabijoj finanicjskoj situaciji u klubu od očekivane i ponovno naraslim dugovanjima prema igračima koje su stručnom stožeru onemogućavale mirniji rad i upuštanje u priželjkivanu borbu u NLB ligi za plasman u Eurokup.
Prije mjesec dana uputio je čelnicima kluba pismo u kojem je spomenuo mogućnost odlaska. Subotiću se jučer navečer sve skupilo, te je tri dana nakon četvrtog uzastopnog poraza 'žutih’ u regionalnoj ligi odlučio reći dosta.
- Kada sam ovog ljeta odlučio ostati u klubu imao sam čvrtsa obećanja ljudi koji vode klub da će se financijska situacija popraviti u odnosu na stanje koje je vladalo proteklih sezona, ali do toga nije došlo. Jako mi je teško ovo napraviti, Split je moj grad. Uspjeli smo vratiti košarku na Gripe, ali ovako jednostavno više nije išlo, nije bilo očekivanog pomaka, stalno smo se vraćali na isto - rekao je razočarani Subotić te pojasnio.
- Nisam ovu odluku donio zbog niza poraza niti su u pitanju moja potraživanja prema klubu. Nikome ništa ne zamjeram niti ikoga optužujem za nešto, jednostavno nisam imao drugog izlaza.
- Hvala svima u klubu na dvije prekrasne godine, a i publici koja je stalno bila uz nas - rekao je Subotić koji se emotivnim govorom nakon treninga oprostio od igrača.
- Žao mi je što je do voga došlo, ali tako je valjda moralo biti. Želim im sve najbolje u nastavku natjecanja. U njima ima dosta potencijala i vjerujem da u karijerama mogu puno dobroga napraviti - rekao je Subotić.
