Svečana ceremonija primanja klase 2020. u kojoj su Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan i Kevin Garnett u košarkašku Kuću slavnih u Springfieldu odgođena je zbog pandemije koronavirusa na 2021.

Inauguracija klase 2020 trebala je biti 29. kolovoza, nagađalo se kako bi mogla biti pomaknuta na listopad, međutim sada je definitivno prebačena na iduću godinu.

"Definitivno otkazujemo slavlje ove godine. Održavanje ceremonije ove godine nije moguće zbog trenutnih učinaka pandemije koronavirusa. Svečanost će biti u prvom tromjesečje sljedeće godine. Odbor će se sastati za nekoliko tjedana i razmotriti mogućnosti," kazao je za ESPN predsjednik "Hall of Fame" Jerry Colangelo.

Dodao je kako se razmišljalo preseliti svečanosti iz "Symphony Hall" koja prima 2.611 gledatelja, u obližnji MassMutual Centar sa više od 8.000 mjesta kako bi se pružila veća prilika za socijalno distanciranje, ali na kraju je donesena odluka da se čeka do sljedeće godine.

Klasu 2020. čine pokojni Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, treneri Rudy Tomjanovich i nedavno preminuli Eddie Sutton, košarkašica Tamika Catchings, trenerice Kim Mulkey i Barbara Stevens te također, nedavno preminuli generalni tajnik FIBA-e Patrick Baumman.

"Klasa 2020. vrlo je posebna klasa i zaslužuje svoje slavlje", dodao je Colangelo.

Svečana ceremonija primanja klase 2020. u kojoj su Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan i Kevin Garnett u košarkašku Kuću slavnih u Springfieldu odgođena je zbog pandemije koronavirusa na 2021.

Inauguracija klase 2020 trebala je biti 29. kolovoza, nagađalo se kako bi mogla biti pomaknuta na listopad, međutim sada je definitivno prebačena na iduću godinu.

"Definitivno otkazujemo slavlje ove godine. Održavanje ceremonije ove godine nije moguće zbog trenutnih učinaka pandemije koronavirusa. Svečanost će biti u prvom tromjesečje sljedeće godine. Odbor će se sastati za nekoliko tjedana i razmotriti mogućnosti," kazao je za ESPN predsjednik "Hall of Fame" Jerry Colangelo.

Dodao je kako se razmišljalo preseliti svečanosti iz "Symphony Hall" koja prima 2.611 gledatelja, u obližnji MassMutual Centar sa više od 8.000 mjesta kako bi se pružila veća prilika za socijalno distanciranje, ali na kraju je donesena odluka da se čeka do sljedeće godine.

Klasu 2020. čine pokojni Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, treneri Rudy Tomjanovich i nedavno preminuli Eddie Sutton, košarkašica Tamika Catchings, trenerice Kim Mulkey i Barbara Stevens te također, nedavno preminuli generalni tajnik FIBA-e Patrick Baumman.

"Klasa 2020. vrlo je posebna klasa i zaslužuje svoje slavlje", dodao je Colangelo.
