U dugoj povijesti NBA doigravanja 150 puta se dogodilo da jedna momčad zaostaje 0-3 u seriji i ni jednom se dosad nije zbio veliki preokret, a ove sezone novi pokušaj imaju košarkaši Bostona.

U finalu Istočne konferencije Miami Heat je dobio prve dvije gostujuće utakmice protiv Bostona, a potom i prvu domaću za vodstvo 3-0. No, u četvrtom susretu Boston je ipak ostvario prvu pobjedu. Slavio je u gostima 116-99 i time je vratio seriju na domaći parket.

Peta utakmica se igra u 2.30 sati po srednjeeuropskom vremenu, u noći s četvrtka na petak, što je prilika Bostonu da smanji na 2-3. Ukupno gledano, Boston je započeo put koji ni jedna NBA momčad dosad nije prevalila. Slaviti nakon 0-3.

Uvjerljivo najčešće se kroz povijest događalo da takve serije završe s 4-0, što je i ove sezone primjer bio prije nekoliko dana kada je Denver u finalu Zapadne konferencije svladao LA Lakerse popularnom ‘metlom‘, bez poraza.

No, Boston je dobio prvu utakmicu, a u povijesti se četrnaest puta dogodilo da momčad u takvom zaostatku dobije iduće dvije utakmice. Time smanji na 2-3, ali i potom izgubi šesti susret.

Samo su tri momčadi uspjele s 0-3 doći do 3-3, ali i nakon toga izgubiti ključnu sedmu utakmicu. U finalu, daleke 1951. godine, New York je protiv Rochestera, sadašnjeg Sacramenta, nadoknadio 0-3, ali i izgubio sedmi ogled.

Potom su do 3-3 još uspjeli doći Denver 1994. godine protiv Utah Jazza i kao posljednji Portland, predvođen legendarnim Litavcem Arvidasom Sabonisom, protiv Dallasa 2003. godine. No, te su tri momčadi zapele u sedmom ogled. Novu priliku ima sadašnja generacija Bostona.

„Ne razmišljamo tako daleko. Znam da zvuči otrcano, ali nemamo što drugo nego razmišljati utakmicu po utakmicu. Nadam se da će nas takvo razmišljanje odvući daleko“, rekao je nakon pobjede u četvrtom susretu najbolji igrač Bostona Jayson Tatum.

Inače, kroz povijest NBA doigravanja čak je 13 momčadi preokrenulo 1-3 u pobjedu 4-3.

U finalu Istočne konferencije Miami Heat je dobio prve dvije gostujuće utakmice protiv Bostona, a potom i prvu domaću za vodstvo 3-0. No, u četvrtom susretu Boston je ipak ostvario prvu pobjedu. Slavio je u gostima 116-99 i time je vratio seriju na domaći parket.

Peta utakmica se igra u 2.30 sati po srednjeeuropskom vremenu, u noći s četvrtka na petak, što je prilika Bostonu da smanji na 2-3. Ukupno gledano, Boston je započeo put koji ni jedna NBA momčad dosad nije prevalila. Slaviti nakon 0-3.
