Na sjednici Gradskog vijeća Splita 23. rujna neočekivano nije prošla odluka o financijskoj pomoći Košarkaškom klubu Split u iznosu od sedam milijuna kuna godišnje (četiri milijuna za sufinanciranje omladinske škole, a tri za ulaganje u poslovanje kluba kroz dokapitalizaciju društva). 

Tada je 14 vijećnika bilo za, a njih 16 se proglasilo suzdržanima. Sutra će na novoj sjednici između ostalog vijećnici opet odlučivati, ta točka opet je dio dnevnog reda, ako se s tim vijećnici slože. „Žuti” su planirani kao 16. točka dnevnog reda. Vijećnicima su u međuvremenu stigli na prošloj sjednici zatraženi osvježeni, opširniji materijali na tu temu. Uoči sjednice GV-a legenda kluba Željko Jerkov nam je na tu temu kazao.

- Kada je naš klub tri puta bio prvak Europe imao je godišnji budžet od 4,5 milijuna tadašnjih maraka, a sada ima milijun eura. Od 1991. godine do sada smo dakle toliko pali. A kada gledamo okruženje bivše Jugoslavije odnosno ABA lige Cedevita Olimpija sada ima godišnji budžet od oko osam milijuna eura, kao i Budućnost, Partizan oko deset, a Crvena zvezda 12-13 milijuna. Najbolji europski klubovi imaju od 25 do 50 milijuna eura. Toliko godišnje dobije jedan NBA igrač – usporedio je Jerkov prije svega koliko je konkurencija „žutih” iz regionalne lige financijski moćnija. A nekadašnjem trostrukom prvaku Europe sada prijeti da nema više niti tu osminu, desetinu ili dvanaestinu onoga što imaju konkurenti iz regije s kojima bi se trebao nositi. Zaostaje i za rivalima iz Hrvatske.

- Koliko znam Cibona ima oko dva milijuna eura, Zadar oko milijun i pol, a mi milijun. A u sedam godina Cibona i mi smo zajedno pet puta bili prvaci Europe (u razdoblju od 1985. do 1991. godine, nap.a.). Zašto? Zato što mi ovdje znamo kako se radi. Zato mi je malo deplasirano i govoriti o tome što rade na Gradskom vijeću. Kada se sve to sagleda ovo su stoga bijedni novci, bez obzira na to što netko možda mislio drugačije o tome. To je minimum minimuma za preživljavanje kluba – naglasio je Jerkov.

Potom je pozvao.

- Neka onda kažu na Vijeću da će ugasiti klub. I to je legitimna odluka. Neka na Gradskom vijeću donesu odluku da Gradu Splitu ne treba kolektivni sport osim Hajduka. Onda ćemo sport gledati samo na televiziji. Ovaj klub je u kolektivnim sportovima ostavio uvjerljivo najveći trag od svih klubova u ovom gradu, i to u sportu koji je drugi najpopularniji na svijetu! Nitko drugi nije ostavio takav trag – naglasio je Jerkov.

- Ako na Gradskom vijeću misle da je ovaj klub teret za Grad to moraju reći i stati iza toga. Ovo što se zadnji put dogodilo na sjednici je sramota. Katastrofa je što o tome uopće moramo pričati. Ako se ova odluka ne potvrdi to je put u propast, to je gašenje kluba – uvjerava Jerkov.

Član košarkaškog „Hall of Famea” u američkom Springfieldu Dino Rađa, dvostruki prvak Europe sa Splitom, proslavljeni bivši reprezentativac Jugoslavije i Hrvatske nam je dao svoje viđenje, čak i šire situacije. I predlaže rješenje.

- Još sam davnih dana, prije tko zna koliko godina govorio da se Grad Split mora odlučiti za manji broj klubova, njih četiri-pet, koje će financijski pomagati jer jednostavno ukupno postoji previše klubova. Sjećam se da je bilo mislim 208 klubova kada sam bio u Vijeću, sve se financiralo, svi su imali po jedan glas... Međutim, da se razumijemo, mora se odlučiti koje klubove će financijski pomagati što se tiče hladnog pogona, dakle putovanja, uvjeta, omladinskih pogona..., a ne da će im davati novac za recimo kupnju Amerikanaca. A kada se ti klubovi oslobode tih troškova hladnih pogona, onda će im biti lakše funkcionirati i natjecati se – apelira Rađa.

Naglasio je da se ta odluka koji su to klubovi mora donijeti po kriterijima rezultata, značenja, publike, marketinške važnosti...

- Je li među njima nije KK Split? Neka se odluče. To je odluka koju Grad mora donijeti. Je li to možda vaterpolo, rukomet, veslanje, odbojka... Grad se jednostavno mora opredijeliti. To je jedino rješenje. Mora se izdvojiti četiri-pet klubova koji će dobivati neki ozbiljniji novac, a ostali se moraju sami financirati, iz članarina, od sponzora, biti poluamaterski – istaknuo je Rađa.

Na sjednici Gradskog vijeća Splita 23. rujna neočekivano nije prošla odluka o financijskoj pomoći Košarkaškom klubu Split u iznosu od sedam milijuna kuna godišnje (četiri milijuna za sufinanciranje omladinske škole, a tri za ulaganje u poslovanje kluba kroz dokapitalizaciju društva). 

Tada je 14 vijećnika bilo za, a njih 16 se proglasilo suzdržanima. Sutra će na novoj sjednici između ostalog vijećnici opet odlučivati, ta točka opet je dio dnevnog reda, ako se s tim vijećnici slože. „Žuti” su planirani kao 16. točka dnevnog reda. Vijećnicima su u međuvremenu stigli na prošloj sjednici zatraženi osvježeni, opširniji materijali na tu temu. Uoči sjednice GV-a legenda kluba Željko Jerkov nam je na tu temu kazao.

- Kada je naš klub tri puta bio prvak Europe imao je godišnji budžet od 4,5 milijuna tadašnjih maraka, a sada ima milijun eura. Od 1991. godine do sada smo dakle toliko pali. A kada gledamo okruženje bivše Jugoslavije odnosno ABA lige Cedevita Olimpija sada ima godišnji budžet od oko osam milijuna eura, kao i Budućnost, Partizan oko deset, a Crvena zvezda 12-13 milijuna. Najbolji europski klubovi imaju od 25 do 50 milijuna eura. Toliko godišnje dobije jedan NBA igrač – usporedio je Jerkov prije svega koliko je konkurencija „žutih” iz regionalne lige financijski moćnija. A nekadašnjem trostrukom prvaku Europe sada prijeti da nema više niti tu osminu, desetinu ili dvanaestinu onoga što imaju konkurenti iz regije s kojima bi se trebao nositi. Zaostaje i za rivalima iz Hrvatske.

- Koliko znam Cibona ima oko dva milijuna eura, Zadar oko milijun i pol, a mi milijun. A u sedam godina Cibona i mi smo zajedno pet puta bili prvaci Europe (u razdoblju od 1985. do 1991. godine, nap.a.). Zašto? Zato što mi ovdje znamo kako se radi. Zato mi je malo deplasirano i govoriti o tome što rade na Gradskom vijeću. Kada se sve to sagleda ovo su stoga bijedni novci, bez obzira na to što netko možda mislio drugačije o tome. To je minimum minimuma za preživljavanje kluba – naglasio je Jerkov.

Potom je pozvao.

- Neka onda kažu na Vijeću da će ugasiti klub. I to je legitimna odluka. Neka na Gradskom vijeću donesu odluku da Gradu Splitu ne treba kolektivni sport osim Hajduka. Onda ćemo sport gledati samo na televiziji. Ovaj klub je u kolektivnim sportovima ostavio uvjerljivo najveći trag od svih klubova u ovom gradu, i to u sportu koji je drugi najpopularniji na svijetu! Nitko drugi nije ostavio takav trag – naglasio je Jerkov.

- Ako na Gradskom vijeću misle da je ovaj klub teret za Grad to moraju reći i stati iza toga. Ovo što se zadnji put dogodilo na sjednici je sramota. Katastrofa je što o tome uopće moramo pričati. Ako se ova odluka ne potvrdi to je put u propast, to je gašenje kluba – uvjerava Jerkov.

Član košarkaškog „Hall of Famea” u američkom Springfieldu Dino Rađa, dvostruki prvak Europe sa Splitom, proslavljeni bivši reprezentativac Jugoslavije i Hrvatske nam je dao svoje viđenje, čak i šire situacije. I predlaže rješenje.

- Još sam davnih dana, prije tko zna koliko godina govorio da se Grad Split mora odlučiti za manji broj klubova, njih četiri-pet, koje će financijski pomagati jer jednostavno ukupno postoji previše klubova. Sjećam se da je bilo mislim 208 klubova kada sam bio u Vijeću, sve se financiralo, svi su imali po jedan glas... Međutim, da se razumijemo, mora se odlučiti koje klubove će financijski pomagati što se tiče hladnog pogona, dakle putovanja, uvjeta, omladinskih pogona..., a ne da će im davati novac za recimo kupnju Amerikanaca. A kada se ti klubovi oslobode tih troškova hladnih pogona, onda će im biti lakše funkcionirati i natjecati se – apelira Rađa.

Naglasio je da se ta odluka koji su to klubovi mora donijeti po kriterijima rezultata, značenja, publike, marketinške važnosti...

- Je li među njima nije KK Split? Neka se odluče. To je odluka koju Grad mora donijeti. Je li to možda vaterpolo, rukomet, veslanje, odbojka... Grad se jednostavno mora opredijeliti. To je jedino rješenje. Mora se izdvojiti četiri-pet klubova koji će dobivati neki ozbiljniji novac, a ostali se moraju sami financirati, iz članarina, od sponzora, biti poluamaterski – istaknuo je Rađa.
