Turski košarkaški centar Enes Kanter (29), član NBA momčadi Boston Celticsa, našao se na udaru Kineza nakon što je putem video-poruke te nošenjem tenisica s porukom tijekom prve utakmice nove sezone izrazio podršku Tibetancima.

Kanter je putem društvenih mreža twitter i instagram odaslao dvominutni video u kojem kritizira ponašanje kineskih vlasti u Tibetu, a tijekom utakmice protiv New York Knicksa nosio je tenisice s porukom "Oslobodite Tibet".

- Ovdje sam kako bi podigao glas vezano uz događanja u Tibetu. Pod brutalnom vlasti Kine, Tibetancima su uskraćena osnovna ljudska prava i slobode - kazao je Kanter odjeven u majicu s likom Dalaj lame nazvavši usto kineskog predsjednika Xija Linpinga "brutalnim diktatorom".

Platforma za slanje poruka popularna u Kini Weibo u četvrtak je tako blokirala sve sadržaje vezane uz Kantera, iz tvrtke su najavili kako će prestati objavljivati i vijesti vezane uz Celticse, a ljubitelji NBA lige u Kini zatražili su od Celticsa da otpuste Kantera.

Kanteru ovo nije prvi put kako je odaslao politički angažirane poruke. Godine 2018. godine javno je kritizirao turskog predsjednika Tayyipa Erdogana zbog čega Turska traži njegovo izručenje pod optužbon kako pripada naoružanoj terorističkoj skupini, što Kanter poriče.

Prije dvije godine je tadašnji generalni menadžer Houston Rocketsa Daryl Morey podržao je demokratske procese u Kini što je rezultiralo time da je kineska državna televizija CCTV u znak protsta prestala emitirati NBA utakmice. Morey je stoga otpušten kako liga ne bi trpila veliki financijski gubitak uzrokovan bojkotom u Kini koja predstavlja veliko tržište.

Turski košarkaški centar Enes Kanter (29), član NBA momčadi Boston Celticsa, našao se na udaru Kineza nakon što je putem video-poruke te nošenjem tenisica s porukom tijekom prve utakmice nove sezone izrazio podršku Tibetancima.

Kanter je putem društvenih mreža twitter i instagram odaslao dvominutni video u kojem kritizira ponašanje kineskih vlasti u Tibetu, a tijekom utakmice protiv New York Knicksa nosio je tenisice s porukom "Oslobodite Tibet".

- Ovdje sam kako bi podigao glas vezano uz događanja u Tibetu. Pod brutalnom vlasti Kine, Tibetancima su uskraćena osnovna ljudska prava i slobode - kazao je Kanter odjeven u majicu s likom Dalaj lame nazvavši usto kineskog predsjednika Xija Linpinga "brutalnim diktatorom".

Platforma za slanje poruka popularna u Kini Weibo u četvrtak je tako blokirala sve sadržaje vezane uz Kantera, iz tvrtke su najavili kako će prestati objavljivati i vijesti vezane uz Celticse, a ljubitelji NBA lige u Kini zatražili su od Celticsa da otpuste Kantera.

Kanteru ovo nije prvi put kako je odaslao politički angažirane poruke. Godine 2018. godine javno je kritizirao turskog predsjednika Tayyipa Erdogana zbog čega Turska traži njegovo izručenje pod optužbon kako pripada naoružanoj terorističkoj skupini, što Kanter poriče.

Prije dvije godine je tadašnji generalni menadžer Houston Rocketsa Daryl Morey podržao je demokratske procese u Kini što je rezultiralo time da je kineska državna televizija CCTV u znak protsta prestala emitirati NBA utakmice. Morey je stoga otpušten kako liga ne bi trpila veliki financijski gubitak uzrokovan bojkotom u Kini koja predstavlja veliko tržište.

Turski košarkaški centar Enes Kanter (29), član NBA momčadi Boston Celticsa, našao se na udaru Kineza nakon što je putem video-poruke te nošenjem tenisica s porukom tijekom prve utakmice nove sezone izrazio podršku Tibetancima.

Kanter je putem društvenih mreža twitter i instagram odaslao dvominutni video u kojem kritizira ponašanje kineskih vlasti u Tibetu, a tijekom utakmice protiv New York Knicksa nosio je tenisice s porukom "Oslobodite Tibet".

- Ovdje sam kako bi podigao glas vezano uz događanja u Tibetu. Pod brutalnom vlasti Kine, Tibetancima su uskraćena osnovna ljudska prava i slobode - kazao je Kanter odjeven u majicu s likom Dalaj lame nazvavši usto kineskog predsjednika Xija Linpinga "brutalnim diktatorom".
