Trener europskog košarkaškog prvaka moskovskog CSKA Grk Dimitrios Itoudis (48) proglašen je za najboljeg trenera Eurolige u sezoni 2018/19.

Itoudis je u izboru svojih kolega po drugi put u karijeri osvojio nagradu "Aleksandar Gomeljski". Prvi put je za trenera godine izabran 2016. kada je također, predvodio moskovski sastav do europske krune.

Dobitnika nagrade bira 16 trenera klubova koji igraju Euroligu, uz uvjet da ne glasaju za sebe. Itoudis je pobijedio ispred trenera Efesa Ergina Atamana, dok je treći bio trener Žalgirisa Šarunas Jasikevicius.

Grk se tako pridružio Željku Obradoviću, Pablu Lasu i Ettoreu Messini koji su dva ili više puta birani za trenera godine.

Zanimljivo, grčki stručnjak je trenersku karijeru započeo u Zagrebu gdje je studirao na KIF-u. 

Dimitris je najprije godinu dana učio hrvatski jezik, a onda je počeo studirati i fakultet završio u roku. Istovremeno je radio kao trener u KK Mladost (s juniorima i kadetima), ženskom klubu Lokomotiva (kao pomoćnik) te potom u KK Zagreb. Po završetku studija Itoudis se vratio kući kako bi preuzeo uzde u PAOK-u. Od 2014. vodi moskovski CSKA.

Trener europskog košarkaškog prvaka moskovskog CSKA Grk Dimitrios Itoudis (48) proglašen je za najboljeg trenera Eurolige u sezoni 2018/19.

Itoudis je u izboru svojih kolega po drugi put u karijeri osvojio nagradu "Aleksandar Gomeljski". Prvi put je za trenera godine izabran 2016. kada je također, predvodio moskovski sastav do europske krune.

Dobitnika nagrade bira 16 trenera klubova koji igraju Euroligu, uz uvjet da ne glasaju za sebe. Itoudis je pobijedio ispred trenera Efesa Ergina Atamana, dok je treći bio trener Žalgirisa Šarunas Jasikevicius.

Grk se tako pridružio Željku Obradoviću, Pablu Lasu i Ettoreu Messini koji su dva ili više puta birani za trenera godine.

Zanimljivo, grčki stručnjak je trenersku karijeru započeo u Zagrebu gdje je studirao na KIF-u. 

Dimitris je najprije godinu dana učio hrvatski jezik, a onda je počeo studirati i fakultet završio u roku. Istovremeno je radio kao trener u KK Mladost (s juniorima i kadetima), ženskom klubu Lokomotiva (kao pomoćnik) te potom u KK Zagreb. Po završetku studija Itoudis se vratio kući kako bi preuzeo uzde u PAOK-u. Od 2014. vodi moskovski CSKA.
