Ante Palaversa (21), igrač Manchester Cityja na posudbi u belgijskom Kortrijku, prvi put je pozvan u mladu U-21 reprezentaciju. Izbornik Igor Bišćan prepoznao je dobre igre ovog veznjaka u belgijskom prvenstvu i spoznao je kako je Palaversa igrač koji mu treba u ovoj generaciji koja juri Europsko prvenstvo 2023. godine, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Stvarno sam zadovoljan i sretan! Prošle sezone sam bio pozvan u U-20 selekciju, sad u ovu, to je zaista super. Nekako sam očekivao poziv, zato radim, trudim se, mislim da u budućnosti može biti samo bolje - kazao je u uvodu mladi nogometaš.

Palaversa je bio jedna od većih priča zimskog prijelaznog roka 2019. godine. Zadnjega dana siječnja te godine stavio je potpis na ugovor s Građanima koji ga veže do 2023. godine. City ga je ostavio na posudbi u Hajduku, ali je u ljeto otišao u Belgiju, na posudbu u Oostende.

- Da se sad ne vraćam puno u prošlost, jer primarno gledam u budućnost... Ali, iz Hajduka sam u ljeto 2019. godine otišao u Oostende. Išao sam igrati, uhvatiti što više minuta kao mlad igrač. To sam i uspio, odigrao sam jednu dobru sezonu u belgijskom prvenstvu. Onda sam odlučio napraviti još jedan veći, bolji korak. Odlučio sam se za Španjolsku, za Getafe. Mislio sam da će mi to dobro doći kad se radi o mom nogometu, mom stilu igre.

Međutim, Getafe baš nije bio sretan izbor...

- Tu nisam iskoristio šansu. No, ne gledam na tu godinu u Getafeu kao na godinu koja mi je prošla uzalud. Mislim da sam dobio određeno iskustvo. Bio sam s 20 godina u Španjolskoj, osjetio tamošnji nogomet, igru. Zadovoljan sam s iskustvom koje sam stekao, tako da mogu kazati da mi je i boravak u Getafeu koristio, definitivno.

Iz Španjolske se opet vratio u Belgiju.

- Opet sam želio veću minutažu, htio sam igrati, tako da sam odabrao Kortrijk. Sad zaista ide sve dobro, igram. I to stalno, imam kontinuitet. Eto, tako je stigao i poziv za mladu hrvatsku nogometnu reprezentaciju.

Kad je saznao da ga prati izbornik U-21 Igor Bišćan?

- Iskreno ću vam reći - radim za sebe. Stalno gledam kako se poboljšati, nadograditi. Baš u svim nogometnim segmentima. Kad je tako, onda se mora dogoditi da vas netko primijeti, da zapazi vaše igre. A sasvim je normalno da se trudiš do krajnjih granica kako bi igrao za - Hrvatsku. Igrati za svoju zemlju je najveća stvar koja ti se može dogoditi u nogometu.

Pitamo ga je li te godine, kad je potpisao za City, vjerovao da može igrati za tako veliki klub, na tako visokoj, najvišoj svjetskoj razini, biti dio momčad u kojoj igraju ogromne svjetske zvijezde?

- Vjerovao sam, naravno da sam vjerovao, pa ne bih potpisivao ugovor da nisam imao vjeru da ja to mogu. Imao sam tada 18 godina, ali i ogromnu vjeru. Bio sam talent, o tome se puno pričalo i pisalo, ali znate, ipak sam imao tek 18 godina.... U ono vrijeme, kao jako mlad, obično sam igrao jednu utakmicu dobro, jednu slabije, ali oscilacije su normalne kod tako mladih igrača. Ali, učio sam, to je najvažnije.

Kad vas je City ostavio u Hajduku na posudbi, niste imali pravu priliku, zato ste i krenuli u Oostende u potrazi za minutažom, zar ne? Što se tada događalo s vama na Poljudu?

- Tako je. Vidite, sad zapravo i ne bih volio pričati o tom razdoblju. Kažem vam, bio sam u statusu talenta koji je nekad odigrao dobro, nekad lošije. Gledao sam sebe, iskreno, nisam ukupno nudio neke partije, neke velike igre. Od mene se previše očekivalo. Zato sam i otišao iz Hajduka u Oostende, zbog minutaže, igre... Nema tu zapravo prevelike priče. Meni je bitno igrati, bez toga nema ništa. Zato sam i tako dosta mlad mijenjao klubove, tražio sam svoje mjesto pod suncem, tražio sam igru. Sad je to pronađeno i kad je tako, sve je super. Vidite kako to završava, čim stalno igram dolazi i poziv za reprezentaciju. Imam ugovor sa Cityjem još dvije godine...

Je li vam i dalje cilj igrati Premiership u Manchester Cityju?

- To mi je, naravno, u glavi. Na svakom treningu i utakmici radim za to, dajem sve što mogu, napredujem, bolji sam. Moj krajnji cilj jest zaigrati za Manchester City! No, naravno, nikad se ne zna što će se događati u budućnosti. Sad mi je ovdje u Belgiji dobro, znam ligu od prije, tako da sam se odlično snašao. Klub je odličan, igramo na dobroj razini.

Kad smo već kod belgijske lige, je li ga iznenadilo kad je Dinamo onako uvjerljivo pobijedio Genk s 3:0?

- Ne, nije me to iznenadilo. Genk igra napadački nogomet, a Dinamo je utakmicu odigrao iskusno, pametno, zrelo. Ostali su nazad, čekali kontre, Genku to ne odgovara. Dinamo je to dobro, baš dobro odradio.

Jasno je da Palaversa prati svoj bivši klub Hajduk.

- Igraju dobro, tu uopće nema dvojbe. Čim dođu dva-tri dobra igrača, veće klase, podiže se kvaliteta. Odmah se vidi razlika. Sigurno je bolje nego što je to bilo proteklih godina.

Hajduk vraća svoje “stare” igrače, stigli su Livaja, Kalinić... Biste li se vi vratili u Hajduk da vas pozovu s Poljuda?

- Hajduk je moj klub, tu sam proveo svoje djetinjstvo. Naravno da je odgovor - da! Kao što nisam odustao od Manchester Cityja, tako nikad nisam odustao niti od Hajduka. Naravno da bih se htio vratiti ako bi me pozvali natrag - zaključio je Palaversa. u razgovoru za Sportske novosti.

Ante Palaversa (21), igrač Manchester Cityja na posudbi u belgijskom Kortrijku, prvi put je pozvan u mladu U-21 reprezentaciju. Izbornik Igor Bišćan prepoznao je dobre igre ovog veznjaka u belgijskom prvenstvu i spoznao je kako je Palaversa igrač koji mu treba u ovoj generaciji koja juri Europsko prvenstvo 2023. godine, pišu Sportske novosti.

- Stvarno sam zadovoljan i sretan! Prošle sezone sam bio pozvan u U-20 selekciju, sad u ovu, to je zaista super. Nekako sam očekivao poziv, zato radim, trudim se, mislim da u budućnosti može biti samo bolje - kazao je u uvodu mladi nogometaš.

Palaversa je bio jedna od većih priča zimskog prijelaznog roka 2019. godine. Zadnjega dana siječnja te godine stavio je potpis na ugovor s Građanima koji ga veže do 2023. godine. City ga je ostavio na posudbi u Hajduku, ali je u ljeto otišao u Belgiju, na posudbu u Oostende.

- Da se sad ne vraćam puno u prošlost, jer primarno gledam u budućnost... Ali, iz Hajduka sam u ljeto 2019. godine otišao u Oostende. Išao sam igrati, uhvatiti što više minuta kao mlad igrač. To sam i uspio, odigrao sam jednu dobru sezonu u belgijskom prvenstvu. Onda sam odlučio napraviti još jedan veći, bolji korak. Odlučio sam se za Španjolsku, za Getafe. Mislio sam da će mi to dobro doći kad se radi o mom nogometu, mom stilu igre.

Međutim, Getafe baš nije bio sretan izbor...

- Tu nisam iskoristio šansu. No, ne gledam na tu godinu u Getafeu kao na godinu koja mi je prošla uzalud. Mislim da sam dobio određeno iskustvo. Bio sam s 20 godina u Španjolskoj, osjetio tamošnji nogomet, igru. Zadovoljan sam s iskustvom koje sam stekao, tako da mogu kazati da mi je i boravak u Getafeu koristio, definitivno.

Iz Španjolske se opet vratio u Belgiju.

- Opet sam želio veću minutažu, htio sam igrati, tako da sam odabrao Kortrijk. Sad zaista ide sve dobro, igram. I to stalno, imam kontinuitet. Eto, tako je stigao i poziv za mladu hrvatsku nogometnu reprezentaciju.

Kad je saznao da ga prati izbornik U-21 Igor Bišćan?

- Iskreno ću vam reći - radim za sebe. Stalno gledam kako se poboljšati, nadograditi. Baš u svim nogometnim segmentima. Kad je tako, onda se mora dogoditi da vas netko primijeti, da zapazi vaše igre. A sasvim je normalno da se trudiš do krajnjih granica kako bi igrao za - Hrvatsku. Igrati za svoju zemlju je najveća stvar koja ti se može dogoditi u nogometu.

Pitamo ga je li te godine, kad je potpisao za City, vjerovao da može igrati za tako veliki klub, na tako visokoj, najvišoj svjetskoj razini, biti dio momčad u kojoj igraju ogromne svjetske zvijezde?

- Vjerovao sam, naravno da sam vjerovao, pa ne bih potpisivao ugovor da nisam imao vjeru da ja to mogu. Imao sam tada 18 godina, ali i ogromnu vjeru. Bio sam talent, o tome se puno pričalo i pisalo, ali znate, ipak sam imao tek 18 godina.... U ono vrijeme, kao jako mlad, obično sam igrao jednu utakmicu dobro, jednu slabije, ali oscilacije su normalne kod tako mladih igrača. Ali, učio sam, to je najvažnije.

Kad vas je City ostavio u Hajduku na posudbi, niste imali pravu priliku, zato ste i krenuli u Oostende u potrazi za minutažom, zar ne? Što se tada događalo s vama na Poljudu?

- Tako je. Vidite, sad zapravo i ne bih volio pričati o tom razdoblju. Kažem vam, bio sam u statusu talenta koji je nekad odigrao dobro, nekad lošije. Gledao sam sebe, iskreno, nisam ukupno nudio neke partije, neke velike igre. Od mene se previše očekivalo. Zato sam i otišao iz Hajduka u Oostende, zbog minutaže, igre... Nema tu zapravo prevelike priče. Meni je bitno igrati, bez toga nema ništa. Zato sam i tako dosta mlad mijenjao klubove, tražio sam svoje mjesto pod suncem, tražio sam igru. Sad je to pronađeno i kad je tako, sve je super. Vidite kako to završava, čim stalno igram dolazi i poziv za reprezentaciju. Imam ugovor sa Cityjem još dvije godine...

Je li vam i dalje cilj igrati Premiership u Manchester Cityju?

- To mi je, naravno, u glavi. Na svakom treningu i utakmici radim za to, dajem sve što mogu, napredujem, bolji sam. Moj krajnji cilj jest zaigrati za Manchester City! No, naravno, nikad se ne zna što će se događati u budućnosti. Sad mi je ovdje u Belgiji dobro, znam ligu od prije, tako da sam se odlično snašao. Klub je odličan, igramo na dobroj razini.

Kad smo već kod belgijske lige, je li ga iznenadilo kad je Dinamo onako uvjerljivo pobijedio Genk s 3:0?

- Ne, nije me to iznenadilo. Genk igra napadački nogomet, a Dinamo je utakmicu odigrao iskusno, pametno, zrelo. Ostali su nazad, čekali kontre, Genku to ne odgovara. Dinamo je to dobro, baš dobro odradio.

Jasno je da Palaversa prati svoj bivši klub Hajduk.

- Igraju dobro, tu uopće nema dvojbe. Čim dođu dva-tri dobra igrača, veće klase, podiže se kvaliteta. Odmah se vidi razlika. Sigurno je bolje nego što je to bilo proteklih godina.

Hajduk vraća svoje “stare” igrače, stigli su Livaja, Kalinić... Biste li se vi vratili u Hajduk da vas pozovu s Poljuda?

- Hajduk je moj klub, tu sam proveo svoje djetinjstvo. Naravno da je odgovor - da! Kao što nisam odustao od Manchester Cityja, tako nikad nisam odustao niti od Hajduka. Naravno da bih se htio vratiti ako bi me pozvali natrag - zaključio je Palaversa. u razgovoru za Sportske novosti.
