Snašli su se Slovenci kako još jedan iskonski simbol Dalmacije pripisati – sebi!

Pa su ime sveca Jeronima, zaštitnika poznatog po uzrečici "Oprosti mi, Bože, što sam Dalmatinac", uvrstili u najstariju i najpoznatiju Enciklopediju Britannicu, navodeći kako je Jeronim rođen u Stridonu, vjerojatno u blizini moderne Ljubljane u Sloveniji.

Nije naše susjede previše uzbudilo što ta činjenica nije znanstveno dokazana, nego su žestokom kampanjom krenuli u brendiranje sveca koji je do sada bio isključivo poznat kao zaštitnik Dalmacije.

Stoga smo upitali splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana za njegovo mišljenje o novom potezu naših susjeda koji svetog Jeronima pretvaraju u – Slovenca!

– Sveti Jere naš je svetac, zaštitnik Dalmatinaca i Splitsko-dalmatinske županije. Njegovo mjesto rođenja, koje nikad i nigdje nije znanstveno dokazano, nije bio motiv da svetog Jeru, kojeg od davnina štujemo na našem području, izaberemo kao svoga nebeskog zaštitnika. Iskreno se nadamo kako će ga cijeli svijet štovati i poštovati kao i mi. Neka bude zaštitnik cijeloga svijeta!

Dodaje čelnik prostorno najveće županije, koja na blagdan svetog Jeronima 30. rujna obilježava i Dan Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, i ovo:

– Po mome mišljenju, krivi smjer je štovanje sveca ograničiti mjestom rođenja. Primjerice, svetoga Dujma, zaštitnika grada Splita, Splićani štuju iako nije rođen na ovim prostorima. Brojne naše obitelji kroz naraštaje daju imena svojoj djeci u čast naših svetaca, Dujma i Jeronima. Široka je lepeza imena – Dujam, Duje, pa Jere, Jeronim, Jerko, Jeronima, Jerka... A dokaz štovanja svetog Jeronima na našim područjima kroz stoljeća su i brojne crkve posvećene ovom svecu. Zbog svega toga je i odlukom pape nekadašnji gostinjac u Rimu nazvan Hrvatski zavod sv. Jeronima.

Župan Boban nam stoga, u čast nebeskog zaštitnika Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, najavljuje i sljedeći važan korak u brendiranju omiljenog sveca Dalmatinaca:

– Naš isključivi motiv je štovanje sv. Jeronima. Štoviše, planiramo, u dogovoru s gradonačelnicima, nadležnim ministarstvom, upravom zračne luke i drugim dionicima, pokrenuti inicijativu imenovanja naše zračne luke u Resniku imenom našega nebeskog zaštitnika, sv. Jeronima Dalmatinca.

Snašli su se Slovenci kako još jedan iskonski simbol Dalmacije pripisati – sebi!

Pa su ime sveca Jeronima, zaštitnika poznatog po uzrečici "Oprosti mi, Bože, što sam Dalmatinac", uvrstili u najstariju i najpoznatiju Enciklopediju Britannicu, navodeći kako je Jeronim rođen u Stridonu, vjerojatno u blizini moderne Ljubljane u Sloveniji.

Nije naše susjede previše uzbudilo što ta činjenica nije znanstveno dokazana, nego su žestokom kampanjom krenuli u brendiranje sveca koji je do sada bio isključivo poznat kao zaštitnik Dalmacije.

Stoga smo upitali splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana za njegovo mišljenje o novom potezu naših susjeda koji svetog Jeronima pretvaraju u – Slovenca!

– Sveti Jere naš je svetac, zaštitnik Dalmatinaca i Splitsko-dalmatinske županije. Njegovo mjesto rođenja, koje nikad i nigdje nije znanstveno dokazano, nije bio motiv da svetog Jeru, kojeg od davnina štujemo na našem području, izaberemo kao svoga nebeskog zaštitnika. Iskreno se nadamo kako će ga cijeli svijet štovati i poštovati kao i mi. Neka bude zaštitnik cijeloga svijeta!

Dodaje čelnik prostorno najveće županije, koja na blagdan svetog Jeronima 30. rujna obilježava i Dan Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, i ovo:

– Po mome mišljenju, krivi smjer je štovanje sveca ograničiti mjestom rođenja. Primjerice, svetoga Dujma, zaštitnika grada Splita, Splićani štuju iako nije rođen na ovim prostorima. Brojne naše obitelji kroz naraštaje daju imena svojoj djeci u čast naših svetaca, Dujma i Jeronima. Široka je lepeza imena – Dujam, Duje, pa Jere, Jeronim, Jerko, Jeronima, Jerka... A dokaz štovanja svetog Jeronima na našim područjima kroz stoljeća su i brojne crkve posvećene ovom svecu. Zbog svega toga je i odlukom pape nekadašnji gostinjac u Rimu nazvan Hrvatski zavod sv. Jeronima.

Župan Boban nam stoga, u čast nebeskog zaštitnika Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, najavljuje i sljedeći važan korak u brendiranju omiljenog sveca Dalmatinaca:

– Naš isključivi motiv je štovanje sv. Jeronima. Štoviše, planiramo, u dogovoru s gradonačelnicima, nadležnim ministarstvom, upravom zračne luke i drugim dionicima, pokrenuti inicijativu imenovanja naše zračne luke u Resniku imenom našega nebeskog zaštitnika, sv. Jeronima Dalmatinca.

Snašli su se Slovenci kako još jedan iskonski simbol Dalmacije pripisati – sebi!

Pa su ime sveca Jeronima, zaštitnika poznatog po uzrečici "Oprosti mi, Bože, što sam Dalmatinac", uvrstili u najstariju i najpoznatiju Enciklopediju Britannicu, navodeći kako je Jeronim rođen u Stridonu, vjerojatno u blizini moderne Ljubljane u Sloveniji.

Nije naše susjede previše uzbudilo što ta činjenica nije znanstveno dokazana, nego su žestokom kampanjom krenuli u brendiranje sveca koji je do sada bio isključivo poznat kao zaštitnik Dalmacije.

Stoga smo upitali splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana za njegovo mišljenje o novom potezu naših susjeda koji svetog Jeronima pretvaraju u – Slovenca!
