Luka Bulić Bračulj mladi je poduzetni matematičar koji je svoje znanje, ovjenčano Oskarima na domaćem "terenu", odlučio okušati i preko "velike bare".
Dojučerašnji maturant III. gimnazije, mnogima još uvijek poznatije po nekadašnjem nazivu MIOC, upisao se na prvu godinu Massachusetts Institute od Tehnology (MIT), prestižnog američkog sveučilišta sa sjedištem u Bostonu.
Strast prema svemu matematičkom kod Luke se javila vrlo rano te ju je dodatno izgradio i izbrusio tijekom gimnazijskih dana.
– Ljubav prema računanju kod mene se rodila još u djetinjstvu. Još od malih nogu bio sam infišan u sve što ima veze sa zbrajanjem i oduzimanjem. Sretan sam što sam se rodio s ovim talentom i trudim se maksimalno ga iskoristiti.
Neki ljudi imaju mota za glazbu, crtanje i pisanje, a ja sam, eto, sebe pronašao u području matematike. Ne postoji neka tajna mojeg uspjeha, iza svega stoji istinska želja za učenjem, ali presudna je, naravno, i nadarenost – ističe brucoš obrazovne ustanove osnovane prije 159 godina.

Perspektivni sugovornik trenutno studira preko online platforme zbog cijele situacije s pandemijom, što, kako kaže, ima svojih prednosti, budući da će, u međuvremenu, moći sudjelovati na državnom natjecanju iz matematike i logike te na županijskom nadmetanju iz biologije, koja su zbog korona-krize proljetos bila odgođena za listopad.
– Prijavio sam se na samo tri natjecanja jer imam dovoljno obveza oko fakulteta, a upravo sam saznao da sam na matematičkoj olimpijadi osvojio broncu – skromno će naš mladi sugovornik, koji tvrdi da ima jasnu viziju svoje životne putanje.
– Volim i zanima me mnogo toga iz nastavnih područja, a naročito matematika. Trudim se sudjelovati na svim kampovima koje organizira Udruga mladih nadarenih matematičara, u kojima bivši natjecatelji održavaju predavanja sudionicima kampa.
Također posjedujem i afinitet prema politologiji, a te dvije ljubavi u Europi je teško spojiti pa je presudila Amerika – naglašava Bulić Bračulj i dodaje kako se premišljao da upiše Prirodoslovno-matematički fakultet u rodnom gradu:
– Amerika me je privlačila jer ima više studijskih opcija i opredjeljenja, mogu samostalno birati kolegije koji me zanimaju i na račun toga se opredijeliti. Sloboda biranja i količina izbora koju nudi spomenuti fakultet te, naravno, njegov nivo na kraju su prevagnuli. Dodatan faktor zbog kojeg je MIT bio moj izbor je to što od svih fakulteta koji su me zanimali ima najveću financijsku potporu, što je u ovim vremenima vrlo bitno.

Tijekom sljedećeg semestra trebao bih otići u SAD, ali i dalje je cijela situacija dosta nepredvidiva. Studenti zadnje godine trenutno su jedini u bostonskom kampusu jer imaju najviše praktičnih predmeta - kaže.
U sklopu natjecanja, a često i za svoj gušt, Luka Bulić Bračulj dosta je proputovao, ali nikada još nije bio u Americi.
– Nadam se da sam spreman, ali i dalje mi ne dolazi do glave da ću mijenjati cijeli jedan kontinent jer mi još odlazak nije toliko blizak, no vjerujem da ću se snaći jer je to sveučilište s puno međunarodnih studenata, pa očekujem ljude iz cijelog svijeta i radujem se upoznati različite kulture.
Standardi u Americi su visoki, a poslova uvijek ima.
– U sklopu faksa nude se razni poslovi pomoću kojih se poslije lakše profiliraš i iz kojih puno naučiš. Još nisam razmišljao o tome jer nisam dobio ulaznu vizu za SAD budući da se prvi semestar održava online, ali svakako u budućnosti, ako mi tempo studija bude dopustio, planiram paralelno raditi i studirati – zaključuje Bulić.
Ne sumnjamo da će se mladi, talentirani i simpatični sugovornik snaći i uspješno se uhvatiti ukoštac s izazovima koji dolaze i želimo mu svu sreću na budućim natjecanjima i u novoj akademskoj godini.

Luka Bulić Bračulj mladi je poduzetni matematičar koji je svoje znanje, ovjenčano Oskarima na domaćem "terenu", odlučio okušati i preko "velike bare".
Dojučerašnji maturant III. gimnazije, mnogima još uvijek poznatije po nekadašnjem nazivu MIOC, upisao se na prvu godinu Massachusetts Institute od Tehnology (MIT), prestižnog američkog sveučilišta sa sjedištem u Bostonu.
Strast prema svemu matematičkom kod Luke se javila vrlo rano te ju je dodatno izgradio i izbrusio tijekom gimnazijskih dana.
– Ljubav prema računanju kod mene se rodila još u djetinjstvu. Još od malih nogu bio sam infišan u sve što ima veze sa zbrajanjem i oduzimanjem. Sretan sam što sam se rodio s ovim talentom i trudim se maksimalno ga iskoristiti.
Neki ljudi imaju mota za glazbu, crtanje i pisanje, a ja sam, eto, sebe pronašao u području matematike. Ne postoji neka tajna mojeg uspjeha, iza svega stoji istinska želja za učenjem, ali presudna je, naravno, i nadarenost – ističe brucoš obrazovne ustanove osnovane prije 159 godina.

Perspektivni sugovornik trenutno studira preko online platforme zbog cijele situacije s pandemijom, što, kako kaže, ima svojih prednosti, budući da će, u međuvremenu, moći sudjelovati na državnom natjecanju iz matematike i logike te na županijskom nadmetanju iz biologije, koja su zbog korona-krize proljetos bila odgođena za listopad.
– Prijavio sam se na samo tri natjecanja jer imam dovoljno obveza oko fakulteta, a upravo sam saznao da sam na matematičkoj olimpijadi osvojio broncu – skromno će naš mladi sugovornik, koji tvrdi da ima jasnu viziju svoje životne putanje.
– Volim i zanima me mnogo toga iz nastavnih područja, a naročito matematika. Trudim se sudjelovati na svim kampovima koje organizira Udruga mladih nadarenih matematičara, u kojima bivši natjecatelji održavaju predavanja sudionicima kampa.
Također posjedujem i afinitet prema politologiji, a te dvije ljubavi u Europi je teško spojiti pa je presudila Amerika – naglašava Bulić Bračulj i dodaje kako se premišljao da upiše Prirodoslovno-matematički fakultet u rodnom gradu:
– Amerika me je privlačila jer ima više studijskih opcija i opredjeljenja, mogu samostalno birati kolegije koji me zanimaju i na račun toga se opredijeliti. Sloboda biranja i količina izbora koju nudi spomenuti fakultet te, naravno, njegov nivo na kraju su prevagnuli. Dodatan faktor zbog kojeg je MIT bio moj izbor je to što od svih fakulteta koji su me zanimali ima najveću financijsku potporu, što je u ovim vremenima vrlo bitno.

Tijekom sljedećeg semestra trebao bih otići u SAD, ali i dalje je cijela situacija dosta nepredvidiva. Studenti zadnje godine trenutno su jedini u bostonskom kampusu jer imaju najviše praktičnih predmeta - kaže.
U sklopu natjecanja, a često i za svoj gušt, Luka Bulić Bračulj dosta je proputovao, ali nikada još nije bio u Americi.
– Nadam se da sam spreman, ali i dalje mi ne dolazi do glave da ću mijenjati cijeli jedan kontinent jer mi još odlazak nije toliko blizak, no vjerujem da ću se snaći jer je to sveučilište s puno međunarodnih studenata, pa očekujem ljude iz cijelog svijeta i radujem se upoznati različite kulture.
Standardi u Americi su visoki, a poslova uvijek ima.
– U sklopu faksa nude se razni poslovi pomoću kojih se poslije lakše profiliraš i iz kojih puno naučiš. Još nisam razmišljao o tome jer nisam dobio ulaznu vizu za SAD budući da se prvi semestar održava online, ali svakako u budućnosti, ako mi tempo studija bude dopustio, planiram paralelno raditi i studirati – zaključuje Bulić.
Ne sumnjamo da će se mladi, talentirani i simpatični sugovornik snaći i uspješno se uhvatiti ukoštac s izazovima koji dolaze i želimo mu svu sreću na budućim natjecanjima i u novoj akademskoj godini.
