Ravnatelj splitskog KBC-a prof. dr. sc. Julije Meštrović sazvao je izvanrednu press konferenciju povodom aktualnog stanja u KBC-u Split vezano za pandemiju bolesti COVID-19.

- Broj bolesnika s COVID-om u KBC-u Split se povećava Danas ih je 134, a među njima je 38 na respiratoru, 32 pozitivna na COVID, a šestero više nije, ali još boluju od upale pluća izazvane COVID-om. Nikad nismo imali toliko puno teških bolesnika. Mi smo u prosincu prošle godine najviše imali 209 bolesnika, ali među njima je bilo puno onih asimptomatskih i s blagim oblicima bolesti. Svi danas hospitalizirani primaju kisik ili su na respiratoru. Osim toga važan je podatak da se broj ovih bolesnika s COVID-om u deset dana udvostručio, a i broj bolesnika na respiratoru se udvostručio u deset dana. - rekao je Meštrović.

- Samo možemo očekivati daljnje ubrzano povećanje bolesnika s COVID-om a osobito onih koji će morati biti liječeni na respiratoru. Zbog toga smo jučer imali sastanak na kojem su bili zamjenik, pomoćnici i koordinatori.Donijeli smo odluku da raspravimo o tome na stručnom vijeću jer za liječenje bolesnika s COVID-om treba veliki broj osoblja. To su većinom anesteziolozi i intenzivisti te medicinske sestre koje mogu liječiti bolesnike na respiratoru, kazao je ravnatelj Meštrović i dodao da su dvije trudnice na Jedinici intezivnog liječenja.

Istaknuo je da je nemoguće u tim uvjetima održati puni redovni rad bolnice.

- To je bio prijedlog našeg tima. Jutros je bio sastanak stručnog vijeća. Predsjednik će vam izložiti odluku.Od svih hospitaliziranih u ovom trenutku, 14 posto je cijepljenih, a od ovih na respiratoru je 12 posto cijepljenih. Mislim da je to jedan jasan i uvjerljiv podatak o nužnosti cijepljenja svih naših sugrađana, istaknuo je ravnatelj splitskog KBC-a.

Naglasio je da je u ovom trenutku popunjeno 70 posto kapaciteta pripremljenih za pacijente s COVID-om i preko 75 posto kapaciteta za one koji moraju biti liječeni na respiratoru.

- Taj broj se ubrzano povećava. Jutros je troje bolesnika stavljeno na respirator. Prema tome, s jedne strane je sve veći broj bolesnika u predviđenim prostorima, a s druge strane je broj osoblja koji će se sve više morati angažirati za ove bolesnike. Više nemamo toliko veliki broj ljudi i rezerve su sve manje. Pitanje je prostora i opreme. Sve je manji broj slobodnih respiratora, ali iznad svega je to osoblje - rekao je ravnatelj Meštrović.

Ravnatelj Meštrović je istaknuo kako će se sve što se može raditi ambulantno nastaviti raditi kao i dosad.

- Mi imamo dovoljan broj kreveta, to neće biti teškoća. Možemo imati više kreveta od ovih koliko je sada. Imamo respiratora i možemo ih nabaviti. Ponavljam, problem je osoblje KBC-a Split. Još jednom upućujem naše sugrađane da se cijepe jer ovu bitku s COVID-om možemo dobiti jedino očuvanjem rada KBC-a Split. Koliko god je broj bolesnika veći,  mi se reorganiziramo vrlo uspješno, ali bilo bi dobro da se ne dogodi da dođemo do te granice. Među pacijentima koji su bili u prvom i drugom valu bio je veći broj bolesnika s komorbiditetima. Njihova dob u prosjeku je bila devet godina viša od ovih koje imamo danas. Mlađi su i imaju manje komorbiditeta. Moram napomenuti da ovi cijepljeni koji su na respiratoru su oni koji u pravilu imaju i neke komorbiditete. Također, bolesnike koje sad moramo liječiti strojnom ventilacijom puno lakše bolje i uspješnije odvajamo od respiratora - rekao je ravnatelj KBC-a Split.

Riječ je preuzeo predsjednik Stručnog vijeća bolnice prof. prim. dr. sc Ante Punda koji je objasnio kako će KBC funkcionirati, odnosno da će se od sutra odgoditi sve operacije koje nisu hitne.

- Prema pokazateljima i porastu hospitaliziranih bolesnika morali smo donijeti takvu odluku. Nadam se da ona neće predugo trajati i mislim da bolesnici neće biti značajno zakinuti. Zbog toga što se ukidaju elektivni zahvati (operativni zahvat unaprijed dogovoren za određeni termin, a stanje ne ugrožava život, op.a.) na kirurgiji, a isto tako bolesnici koji dolaze na ambulantne preglede i svi koji trebaju hitno zbrinjavanje, bolesnici koji imaju maligne bolesti bit će i dalje zbrinjavani- kazao je Punda.

Kazao je i da se nada da KBC neće doći u još goru poziciju.

- Iskoristio bih još jednom priliku poslati poruku pučanstvu da ne budu zabrinuti. Bolnica će i dalje raditi kao što je radila. Poslao bih poruku i da razumiju zašto smo morali donijeti ovu mjeru. Još jednom kažem da je cjepivo najveći doseg u medicini. Može nam svima pomoći i nadam se da će to tako biti. Maksimalno ćemo se truditi pružati adekvatnu skrb i da nitko ne bude ugrožen zbog novonastale situacije.

Ravnatelj splitskog KBC-a prof. dr. sc. Julije Meštrović sazvao je izvanrednu press konferenciju povodom aktualnog stanja u KBC-u Split vezano za pandemiju bolesti COVID-19.

- Broj bolesnika s COVID-om u KBC-u Split se povećava Danas ih je 134, a među njima je 38 na respiratoru, 32 pozitivna na COVID, a šestero više nije, ali još boluju od upale pluća izazvane COVID-om. Nikad nismo imali toliko puno teških bolesnika. Mi smo u prosincu prošle godine najviše imali 209 bolesnika, ali među njima je bilo puno onih asimptomatskih i s blagim oblicima bolesti. Svi danas hospitalizirani primaju kisik ili su na respiratoru. Osim toga važan je podatak da se broj ovih bolesnika s COVID-om u deset dana udvostručio, a i broj bolesnika na respiratoru se udvostručio u deset dana. - rekao je Meštrović.

- Samo možemo očekivati daljnje ubrzano povećanje bolesnika s COVID-om a osobito onih koji će morati biti liječeni na respiratoru. Zbog toga smo jučer imali sastanak na kojem su bili zamjenik, pomoćnici i koordinatori.Donijeli smo odluku da raspravimo o tome na stručnom vijeću jer za liječenje bolesnika s COVID-om treba veliki broj osoblja. To su većinom anesteziolozi i intenzivisti te medicinske sestre koje mogu liječiti bolesnike na respiratoru, kazao je ravnatelj Meštrović i dodao da su dvije trudnice na Jedinici intezivnog liječenja.

Istaknuo je da je nemoguće u tim uvjetima održati puni redovni rad bolnice.

- To je bio prijedlog našeg tima. Jutros je bio sastanak stručnog vijeća. Predsjednik će vam izložiti odluku.Od svih hospitaliziranih u ovom trenutku, 14 posto je cijepljenih, a od ovih na respiratoru je 12 posto cijepljenih. Mislim da je to jedan jasan i uvjerljiv podatak o nužnosti cijepljenja svih naših sugrađana, istaknuo je ravnatelj splitskog KBC-a.

Naglasio je da je u ovom trenutku popunjeno 70 posto kapaciteta pripremljenih za pacijente s COVID-om i preko 75 posto kapaciteta za one koji moraju biti liječeni na respiratoru.

- Taj broj se ubrzano povećava. Jutros je troje bolesnika stavljeno na respirator. Prema tome, s jedne strane je sve veći broj bolesnika u predviđenim prostorima, a s druge strane je broj osoblja koji će se sve više morati angažirati za ove bolesnike. Više nemamo toliko veliki broj ljudi i rezerve su sve manje. Pitanje je prostora i opreme. Sve je manji broj slobodnih respiratora, ali iznad svega je to osoblje - rekao je ravnatelj Meštrović.

Ravnatelj Meštrović je istaknuo kako će se sve što se može raditi ambulantno nastaviti raditi kao i dosad.

- Mi imamo dovoljan broj kreveta, to neće biti teškoća. Možemo imati više kreveta od ovih koliko je sada. Imamo respiratora i možemo ih nabaviti. Ponavljam, problem je osoblje KBC-a Split. Još jednom upućujem naše sugrađane da se cijepe jer ovu bitku s COVID-om možemo dobiti jedino očuvanjem rada KBC-a Split. Koliko god je broj bolesnika veći,  mi se reorganiziramo vrlo uspješno, ali bilo bi dobro da se ne dogodi da dođemo do te granice. Među pacijentima koji su bili u prvom i drugom valu bio je veći broj bolesnika s komorbiditetima. Njihova dob u prosjeku je bila devet godina viša od ovih koje imamo danas. Mlađi su i imaju manje komorbiditeta. Moram napomenuti da ovi cijepljeni koji su na respiratoru su oni koji u pravilu imaju i neke komorbiditete. Također, bolesnike koje sad moramo liječiti strojnom ventilacijom puno lakše bolje i uspješnije odvajamo od respiratora - rekao je ravnatelj KBC-a Split.

Riječ je preuzeo predsjednik Stručnog vijeća bolnice prof. prim. dr. sc Ante Punda koji je objasnio kako će KBC funkcionirati, odnosno da će se od sutra odgoditi sve operacije koje nisu hitne.

- Prema pokazateljima i porastu hospitaliziranih bolesnika morali smo donijeti takvu odluku. Nadam se da ona neće predugo trajati i mislim da bolesnici neće biti značajno zakinuti. Zbog toga što se ukidaju elektivni zahvati (operativni zahvat unaprijed dogovoren za određeni termin, a stanje ne ugrožava život, op.a.) na kirurgiji, a isto tako bolesnici koji dolaze na ambulantne preglede i svi koji trebaju hitno zbrinjavanje, bolesnici koji imaju maligne bolesti bit će i dalje zbrinjavani- kazao je Punda.

Kazao je i da se nada da KBC neće doći u još goru poziciju.

- Iskoristio bih još jednom priliku poslati poruku pučanstvu da ne budu zabrinuti. Bolnica će i dalje raditi kao što je radila. Poslao bih poruku i da razumiju zašto smo morali donijeti ovu mjeru. Još jednom kažem da je cjepivo najveći doseg u medicini. Može nam svima pomoći i nadam se da će to tako biti. Maksimalno ćemo se truditi pružati adekvatnu skrb i da nitko ne bude ugrožen zbog novonastale situacije.
