Zbog obilne kiše koja je u četvrtka doslovce potopila Split i okolicu, vatrogasci su imali pune ruke posla. Potvrđuje to i izvješće Županijskog vatrogasnog operativnog centra iz kojeg se dade iščitati čak stotinjak intervencija.
- Sve raspoložive snage bile su nam na terenu, svi iz smjene, a zvali smo i pojačanje plus što su u pogonu bili i članovi DVD-a Split, Slatine i Žrnovnica. Najviše posla bilo je s ispumpavanjem vode. Zapravo, cijelu grad je u četvrtak bio problem, pa je teško izdvojiti neke problematične lokacije. Ipak, puno posla bilo je na Voćnom trgu koji je bio poplavljen, a voda je prodirala u poslovne prostore, pa je tu i cijev pukla...- rekao nam je Ivica Kovačević, zapovjednik Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Split.
Prema izvještaju, vatrogasci su između ostalog, ispumpavali vodu u Osnovnoj školi Sućidar i školi Pojišan, gasili požar panoa ispred restorana na Prokurativama, spašavali brojne prizemne i podrumske prostorije u koje je prodrla voda, uklanjali stabla...

Puno posla oko začepljenih šahti imali su djelatnici Vodovoda i kanalizacije. Pitamo Kovačevića može li se to ikako prevenirati jer svakom jačom kišom, u gradu se ponavlja isti scenarij oko poplavljenih ulica.
- Teško jer nam je grad takav da je sve uzbrdo, nizbrdo, a iako Vodovod redovito čisti šahte, svaka jača kiša odnese svo smeće i otpalo lišće u šahte koje ne mogu izdržati takav pritisak. Sve komunalne službe u ovakvim situacijama s nama su u stalnom kontaktu i zaista se dobro koordiniramo.
No, protiv ovakvih vremenskih nepogoda teško se boriti, ali se ipak izborimo - kaže Kovačević čije kolege danas imaju opušteniji dan iako ne i neradan. Vrijeme nakon silnih intervencija koriste za provjeru opreme, pila, lanaca, vozila i sličnog jer sve treba biti spremno za nove izazove. A s obzirom da zovu u nedjelju olujno jugo, treba biti spreman na moguća klizišta, odrone i stabla koja neće izdržati nalete vjetra.

Za takve scenarije spremni su i u Parkovima i nasadima koji su u četvrtak imali posla u Šižgorićevoj gdje je pao bor, kao i u Šibenskoj. Petak je srećom osvanuo miran i donekle sunčan, pa kako su nam kazali, iskoristili su dan obilazeći potencijalno opasne lokacije kako bi provjerili stanje stabala jer nedjelja, prema vremenskoj prognozi, ne obećava, pa treba biti pripravan.
Kako nam očito predstoje kišni dani, nije zgorega savjetovali građanima koji imaju prostore u nižim dijelovima koji mogu poplaviti, da na vrijeme nabave vreće sa pijeskom i tako pokušaju ublažiti ili posve ukloniti štetu.

Zbog obilne kiše koja je u četvrtka doslovce potopila Split i okolicu, vatrogasci su imali pune ruke posla. Potvrđuje to i izvješće Županijskog vatrogasnog operativnog centra iz kojeg se dade iščitati čak stotinjak intervencija.
- Sve raspoložive snage bile su nam na terenu, svi iz smjene, a zvali smo i pojačanje plus što su u pogonu bili i članovi DVD-a Split, Slatine i Žrnovnica. Najviše posla bilo je s ispumpavanjem vode. Zapravo, cijelu grad je u četvrtak bio problem, pa je teško izdvojiti neke problematične lokacije. Ipak, puno posla bilo je na Voćnom trgu koji je bio poplavljen, a voda je prodirala u poslovne prostore, pa je tu i cijev pukla...- rekao nam je Ivica Kovačević, zapovjednik Javne vatrogasne postrojbe Split.
Prema izvještaju, vatrogasci su između ostalog, ispumpavali vodu u Osnovnoj školi Sućidar i školi Pojišan, gasili požar panoa ispred restorana na Prokurativama, spašavali brojne prizemne i podrumske prostorije u koje je prodrla voda, uklanjali stabla...

Puno posla oko začepljenih šahti imali su djelatnici Vodovoda i kanalizacije. Pitamo Kovačevića može li se to ikako prevenirati jer svakom jačom kišom, u gradu se ponavlja isti scenarij oko poplavljenih ulica.
- Teško jer nam je grad takav da je sve uzbrdo, nizbrdo, a iako Vodovod redovito čisti šahte, svaka jača kiša odnese svo smeće i otpalo lišće u šahte koje ne mogu izdržati takav pritisak. Sve komunalne službe u ovakvim situacijama s nama su u stalnom kontaktu i zaista se dobro koordiniramo.
No, protiv ovakvih vremenskih nepogoda teško se boriti, ali se ipak izborimo - kaže Kovačević čije kolege danas imaju opušteniji dan iako ne i neradan. Vrijeme nakon silnih intervencija koriste za provjeru opreme, pila, lanaca, vozila i sličnog jer sve treba biti spremno za nove izazove. A s obzirom da zovu u nedjelju olujno jugo, treba biti spreman na moguća klizišta, odrone i stabla koja neće izdržati nalete vjetra.

Za takve scenarije spremni su i u Parkovima i nasadima koji su u četvrtak imali posla u Šižgorićevoj gdje je pao bor, kao i u Šibenskoj. Petak je srećom osvanuo miran i donekle sunčan, pa kako su nam kazali, iskoristili su dan obilazeći potencijalno opasne lokacije kako bi provjerili stanje stabala jer nedjelja, prema vremenskoj prognozi, ne obećava, pa treba biti pripravan.
Kako nam očito predstoje kišni dani, nije zgorega savjetovali građanima koji imaju prostore u nižim dijelovima koji mogu poplaviti, da na vrijeme nabave vreće sa pijeskom i tako pokušaju ublažiti ili posve ukloniti štetu.
