Splitski Možemo! je danas, putem Facebook objave, podsjetio na prijedloge inicijativa koje su, proteklog mjeseca, dostavili Komisiji za imena ulica, trgova i za spomenike. Napravili su to s namjerom da, imajući u vidu kako još uvijek postoji opcija prijevremenog raspuštanja Gradskog vijeća, se ne bi desilo da inicijative, od kojih su neke pokrenute u prethodnim mandatima, "opet padnu u birokratski zaborav". Navodimo sve četiri:
1. Da se plato pred zgradom Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, na kojem je postavljen Spomenik političkim zatvorenicima, internircima i deportircima, nazove Trg žrtava fašizma. Na inicijativu antifašističkih udruga taj je prijedlog bio aktualan i za bivše gradske vlasti, no nikad nije stigao na dnevni red Gradskog vijeća.
2. Da se popis na štandarcu na kojem su uklesani ključni datumi iz povijesti Splita nadopuni 26. listopadom 1944., danom oslobođenja Splita od okupatora u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Upisivanjem toga datuma, kako je isticao splitski antifašist i umjetnik Ante Jelaska, Split bi prekinuo s negiranjem toga dijela svoje prošlosti.

3. Da se među spomen obilježja uvrsti i ono posvećeno admiralu Philipu Andrewsu, zapovjedniku mirovne misije zemalja pobjednica u Prvom svjetskom ratu, i počasnom građaninu grada Splita. Pripadnici četiriju mornarica mirovne mislije, osim što su zaustavili napredovanje talijanskih iredentista prema Dalmaciji, znatno su utjecali na svakodnevni život i kulturu u Splitu, o čemu svjedoči između ostalog i "Spli'ski akvarel" Ive Tijardovića.
4. Da se uvede novi način obilježavanja mikrolokacija povezanih uz značajne osobe i događaje – kantuni. Ovakvo rješenje premostilo bi problem s nemogućnošću da se oda počast brojnim osobama i događajima važnima za Splia, a istodobno ne bi - osim postavljanja tabli - proizvelo nove troškove. Upisom tih lokaliteta na zemljovide, posebno na alate poput Google Maps, postali bi važan orijentir i za građane i za posjetitelje Splita.

Splitski Možemo! je danas, putem Facebook objave, podsjetio na prijedloge inicijativa koje su, proteklog mjeseca, dostavili Komisiji za imena ulica, trgova i za spomenike. Napravili su to s namjerom da, imajući u vidu kako još uvijek postoji opcija prijevremenog raspuštanja Gradskog vijeća, se ne bi desilo da inicijative, od kojih su neke pokrenute u prethodnim mandatima, "opet padnu u birokratski zaborav". Navodimo sve četiri:
1. Da se plato pred zgradom Splitsko-dalmatinske županije, na kojem je postavljen Spomenik političkim zatvorenicima, internircima i deportircima, nazove Trg žrtava fašizma. Na inicijativu antifašističkih udruga taj je prijedlog bio aktualan i za bivše gradske vlasti, no nikad nije stigao na dnevni red Gradskog vijeća.
2. Da se popis na štandarcu na kojem su uklesani ključni datumi iz povijesti Splita nadopuni 26. listopadom 1944., danom oslobođenja Splita od okupatora u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Upisivanjem toga datuma, kako je isticao splitski antifašist i umjetnik Ante Jelaska, Split bi prekinuo s negiranjem toga dijela svoje prošlosti.

3. Da se među spomen obilježja uvrsti i ono posvećeno admiralu Philipu Andrewsu, zapovjedniku mirovne misije zemalja pobjednica u Prvom svjetskom ratu, i počasnom građaninu grada Splita. Pripadnici četiriju mornarica mirovne mislije, osim što su zaustavili napredovanje talijanskih iredentista prema Dalmaciji, znatno su utjecali na svakodnevni život i kulturu u Splitu, o čemu svjedoči između ostalog i "Spli'ski akvarel" Ive Tijardovića.
4. Da se uvede novi način obilježavanja mikrolokacija povezanih uz značajne osobe i događaje – kantuni. Ovakvo rješenje premostilo bi problem s nemogućnošću da se oda počast brojnim osobama i događajima važnima za Splia, a istodobno ne bi - osim postavljanja tabli - proizvelo nove troškove. Upisom tih lokaliteta na zemljovide, posebno na alate poput Google Maps, postali bi važan orijentir i za građane i za posjetitelje Splita.
