Što znamo o reumatskoj polimijalgiji, osteoporozi, gigantocelularnom arteritisu, pseudogihtu i osteoartritisu? Neki dobro znaju kako su to bolesti koje se javljaju u drugoj polovici života.

Stanovnici zapadne civilizacije žive u dobu produljenja životnog vijeka. Sve je više ljudi sa 60 i više godina, štoviše na njih opada čak 12,3 posto globalne populacije.

Samim tim može se kazati i kako će sve više bolesnika oboljelih od reumatskih bolesti biti starije osobe. Što je zapravo starost? Otkrit ćemo vam odgovor koji će se, između ostalog, čuti na predavanju ‘Upalne reumatske bolesti u starijoj životnoj dobi‘. Ono će se danas, ponedjeljak, u 19 sati održati u kinoteci "Zlatna vrata", u Dioklecijanovoj 7.

Starost je, znači, protuupalno stanje koje u zdravih starijih osoba, u usporedbi s mlađim odraslim osobama prati povišena razina protuupalnih citokina. Odatle izlazi tvrdnja o vezi između produženja životnog vijeka i sve većeg broja oboljelih od reumatskih bolesti.

Dodatni problem leži u činjenici da je dijagnoza tih bolesti u starijih osoba komplicirana. Često je praćena atipičnim kliničkim obilježjima i manifestacijama, koje oponašaju promjene inače povezane s dobi.

Brojna su to pitanja kojih će se na predavanju dotaknuti prof. prim. dr. sc. Dijana Perković, dr. med., pročelnica Zavoda za reumatologiju i kliničku imunologiju s alergologijom, Interne klinike KBC Split.

Razgovarat će se i o reumatskom artritisu i sistemskom eritemskom lupusu. Bolestima koje se češće javljaju u mlađoj životnoj dobi, no mogu započeti i u starosti iznad iznad 60 godina.

Ukazat će se i kako različite fiziološke promjene koje su povezane sa starenjem, ove bolesnike čine osjetljivima na štetne učinke lijekova. I na taj način onemogućuju odgovarajuću upotrebu agresivne imunosupresivne terapije.

Predavanje će se održati u Akademiji medicinskih znanosti hrvatske (AMZH), podružnica Split, u suorganizaciji s Centrom za kulturu i cjeloživotno obrazovanje "Zlatna vrata".

Što znamo o reumatskoj polimijalgiji, osteoporozi, gigantocelularnom arteritisu, pseudogihtu i osteoartritisu? Neki dobro znaju kako su to bolesti koje se javljaju u drugoj polovici života.

Stanovnici zapadne civilizacije žive u dobu produljenja životnog vijeka. Sve je više ljudi sa 60 i više godina, štoviše na njih opada čak 12,3 posto globalne populacije.

Samim tim može se kazati i kako će sve više bolesnika oboljelih od reumatskih bolesti biti starije osobe. Što je zapravo starost? Otkrit ćemo vam odgovor koji će se, između ostalog, čuti na predavanju ‘Upalne reumatske bolesti u starijoj životnoj dobi‘. Ono će se danas, ponedjeljak, u 19 sati održati u kinoteci "Zlatna vrata", u Dioklecijanovoj 7.

Starost je, znači, protuupalno stanje koje u zdravih starijih osoba, u usporedbi s mlađim odraslim osobama prati povišena razina protuupalnih citokina. Odatle izlazi tvrdnja o vezi između produženja životnog vijeka i sve većeg broja oboljelih od reumatskih bolesti.

Dodatni problem leži u činjenici da je dijagnoza tih bolesti u starijih osoba komplicirana. Često je praćena atipičnim kliničkim obilježjima i manifestacijama, koje oponašaju promjene inače povezane s dobi.

Brojna su to pitanja kojih će se na predavanju dotaknuti prof. prim. dr. sc. Dijana Perković, dr. med., pročelnica Zavoda za reumatologiju i kliničku imunologiju s alergologijom, Interne klinike KBC Split.

Razgovarat će se i o reumatskom artritisu i sistemskom eritemskom lupusu. Bolestima koje se češće javljaju u mlađoj životnoj dobi, no mogu započeti i u starosti iznad iznad 60 godina.

Ukazat će se i kako različite fiziološke promjene koje su povezane sa starenjem, ove bolesnike čine osjetljivima na štetne učinke lijekova. I na taj način onemogućuju odgovarajuću upotrebu agresivne imunosupresivne terapije.

Predavanje će se održati u Akademiji medicinskih znanosti hrvatske (AMZH), podružnica Split, u suorganizaciji s Centrom za kulturu i cjeloživotno obrazovanje "Zlatna vrata".
