Poznata humanitarna utrka Race for the cure THINK PINK najveći je svjetski događaj u borbi protiv raka dojke, a koji će se u Splitu četvrti put zaredom održati 1. listopada sa startom na splitskoj Rivi u 11 sati. Županijska liga protiv raka poziva sve da se pridruže ovoj utrci čiji su ciljevi već poznati, a to je slavljenje života, smanjenje smrtnosti od raka dojke, promoviranje ranog otkrivanja bolesti te sjećanje na one koji su bitku protiv ove opake bolesti, nažalost, izgubili.

Simbol pobjede nad ovom opakom bolesti je i Slavica Aralica, inače bivša profesorica, novinarka i lektorica u Slobodnoj Dalmaciji, koja danas s ponosom nosi pink majicu. Svoju je životnu priču odlučila podijeliti s javnosti.

- Svaka akcija koja je potpora oboljelima od bilo koje bolesti, a posebno od raka, na čiji sam spomen ljude prođe jeza, ne da je dobrodošla, ona je poput dodatne injekcije spasonosnog lijeka. Od trenutka kad vam priopće tu strašnu dijagnozu, pa dok je ne prihvatite, korak je od sedam milja koje valja prijeći. Ali, ako vam obitelj i prijatelji uskoče u nju svojom potporom (emotivnom, razgovorom, razumijevanjem, a ne sažalijevanjem), put odjednom postaje i kraći i lakši. Naravno, ne mogu sve drugi učiniti za vas i umjesto vas, na vama je da sjednete i kažete sebi: dobro, imam rak i hajdemo se sad s njim uhvatiti u koštac. Tu je jedan prazan hod u kojem je pacijent prepušten sam sebi. Slijedi dugo čekanje, potom dogovor za operaciju i svjesnost da to više nisi isti ti, a onda počinje psihološka tortura - zašto baš ja koja sam živjela sam po pravilima zdravog života, išla redovito na preglede, čuvala se kao Bašćanska ploča. U tom razdoblju mnogi moraju potražiti specijalističku psihološku pomoć jer sami nisu u stanju izići na kraj sa svojom bolesti - iskreno pripovijeda Aralica.

Osim obitelji i prijatelja, veli i kako joj je humor pomogao u pobjedi nad bolesti.

- Tako sam još iz bolnice pisala kroniku o onome što se događa meni i oko mene, stavljajući težište na naoko nevažne detalje koji su me odmakli od bolesti. Tako sam imala jednu dnevnu obavezu, a slala sam je na adrese prijatelja koji su je s guštom čitali i uzvraćali mi pisanom podrškom, hvaleći moju hrabrost. Prva stvar koju sam učinila čim sam izišla bila je da odem do parka i udahnem malo prirode. Činilo mi se da svaki njezin komadić sada ima drugu vrijednost. Kao da mi je sve bilo novo. Bila sam gladna tog cvrkuta,šuštanja,dječje cike, prometne vreve - gladna života oko sebe. Znajući koliko potpora znači svakom koga zaskoči maligna dijagnoza, doći ću u subotu na Rivu, bit ću tu za sve njih i za sebe - rekla je Aralica.

Stoga ove subote svi pravac Riva i obojimo zajednički Split u pink!

Poznata humanitarna utrka Race for the cure THINK PINK najveći je svjetski događaj u borbi protiv raka dojke, a koji će se u Splitu četvrti put zaredom održati 1. listopada sa startom na splitskoj Rivi u 11 sati. Županijska liga protiv raka poziva sve da se pridruže ovoj utrci čiji su ciljevi već poznati, a to je slavljenje života, smanjenje smrtnosti od raka dojke, promoviranje ranog otkrivanja bolesti te sjećanje na one koji su bitku protiv ove opake bolesti, nažalost, izgubili.

Simbol pobjede nad ovom opakom bolesti je i Slavica Aralica, inače bivša profesorica, novinarka i lektorica u Slobodnoj Dalmaciji, koja danas s ponosom nosi pink majicu. Svoju je životnu priču odlučila podijeliti s javnosti.

- Svaka akcija koja je potpora oboljelima od bilo koje bolesti, a posebno od raka, na čiji sam spomen ljude prođe jeza, ne da je dobrodošla, ona je poput dodatne injekcije spasonosnog lijeka. Od trenutka kad vam priopće tu strašnu dijagnozu, pa dok je ne prihvatite, korak je od sedam milja koje valja prijeći. Ali, ako vam obitelj i prijatelji uskoče u nju svojom potporom (emotivnom, razgovorom, razumijevanjem, a ne sažalijevanjem), put odjednom postaje i kraći i lakši. Naravno, ne mogu sve drugi učiniti za vas i umjesto vas, na vama je da sjednete i kažete sebi: dobro, imam rak i hajdemo se sad s njim uhvatiti u koštac. Tu je jedan prazan hod u kojem je pacijent prepušten sam sebi. Slijedi dugo čekanje, potom dogovor za operaciju i svjesnost da to više nisi isti ti, a onda počinje psihološka tortura - zašto baš ja koja sam živjela sam po pravilima zdravog života, išla redovito na preglede, čuvala se kao Bašćanska ploča. U tom razdoblju mnogi moraju potražiti specijalističku psihološku pomoć jer sami nisu u stanju izići na kraj sa svojom bolesti - iskreno pripovijeda Aralica.

Osim obitelji i prijatelja, veli i kako joj je humor pomogao u pobjedi nad bolesti.

- Tako sam još iz bolnice pisala kroniku o onome što se događa meni i oko mene, stavljajući težište na naoko nevažne detalje koji su me odmakli od bolesti. Tako sam imala jednu dnevnu obavezu, a slala sam je na adrese prijatelja koji su je s guštom čitali i uzvraćali mi pisanom podrškom, hvaleći moju hrabrost. Prva stvar koju sam učinila čim sam izišla bila je da odem do parka i udahnem malo prirode. Činilo mi se da svaki njezin komadić sada ima drugu vrijednost. Kao da mi je sve bilo novo. Bila sam gladna tog cvrkuta,šuštanja,dječje cike, prometne vreve - gladna života oko sebe. Znajući koliko potpora znači svakom koga zaskoči maligna dijagnoza, doći ću u subotu na Rivu, bit ću tu za sve njih i za sebe - rekla je Aralica.

Stoga ove subote svi pravac Riva i obojimo zajednički Split u pink!

Osim obitelji i prijatelja, Slavica veli i kako joj je humor pomogao u pobjedi Županijska liga protiv raka

Poznata humanitarna utrka Race for the cure THINK PINK najveći je svjetski događaj u borbi protiv raka dojke, a koji će se u Splitu četvrti put zaredom održati 1. listopada sa startom na splitskoj Rivi u 11 sati. Županijska liga protiv raka poziva sve da se pridruže ovoj utrci čiji su ciljevi već poznati, a to je slavljenje života, smanjenje smrtnosti od raka dojke, promoviranje ranog otkrivanja bolesti te sjećanje na one koji su bitku protiv ove opake bolesti, nažalost, izgubili.
