U petak će se navršiti točno godinu dana od one mučne noćne evakuacije pod policijskim rotirkama u splitskom Domu za starije i nemoćne u Vukovarskoj ulici, piše Večernji list.
Hrvatska je tada bila u tvrdom lockdownu, znanstvenici su smirivali javnost, ljudi su u trgovačkim lancima mahnito kupovali brašno i toaletni papir. Svaki naš građanin znao je koliko imamo zaraženih i preminulihriječ "cjepivo" tada je zvučala nadrealno i apstraktno.
A tih dana koronavirus je ušao u splitski Dom za starije i nemoćne u Vukovarskoj ulici, među najranjiviju skupinu. U tom domu je u nekoliko dana preminulo 18 štićenika od izravnih komplikacija bolesti COVID-19.
Slučaj iz Splita ubrzo je poprimio nacionalnu dimenziju pa se brzo otkrilo kako je ravnatelj spomenutog doma u županijskoj ingerenciji, Ivan Škaričić, diplomirani arheolog, HDZ-ov operativac i bivši dugogodišnji gradonačelnik Omiša kojeg je Ante Sanader kao tadašnji splitski župan smjestio na funkciju ravnatelja.
Kad je osoblje posumnjalo da je virus ušao među štićenike dogodila se već spomenuta evakuacija. Snimke policije, hitne pomoći i specijalaca kako mršave i blijede starce u dekama iznose iz soba, obišle su Hrvatsku.
Ivan Škaričić tada je pred televizijskim kamerama izrekao rečenicu koja još uvijek ozvanja u glavama obitelji preminulih. "Malo je eskaliralo", kazao je Škaričić i zatim je do daljnjega isključio mobitel. Na teren su ubrzo izašle inspekcije koje nisu pronašle nepravilnosti iako su dokazane i objavljene u medijima.
U sve se stoga uključio DORH, a njihova istraga, kažu, još uvijek traje.
Škaričić je otada izbjegavao medije, a sada je odlučio progovoriti za Večernji list. Razgovor prenosimo u cijelosti.
Gospodine Škaričić, uskoro će biti godinu dana od tragedije u domu na čijem čelu vi stojite. Pa što? Osjećate li se odgovornim za smrt 18 štićenika?
- Zašto bih ja bio odgovoran? Pa je li vidite što se sve u svijetu događa? U Hrvatskoj imamo 7000 mrtvih od pandemije, a vi mene pitate jesam li kriv za smrt nekoliko staraca.
Kako možete uspoređivati današnju situaciju u kojoj imamo cjepivo i puno više znamo o virusu nego što smo znali u vrijeme kad je u vašoj ustanovi preminulo 18 ljudi? Nitko vas ne proziva zato što je virus ušao u starački dom nego zato što smo upravo mi u Večernjem listu otkrili barem 5 nelogičnosti ili propusta.
- Ne razumijem što želite kazati. Je li se osjećate odgovornim ili ne? Zovite DORH i policiju. Oni rade te izvide još uvijek. Neću ja pričati o tome.
Zašto pokušavate opravdati svoje neupitne propuste sa žrtvama koronavirusa u Hrvatskoj?
- Ništa ja ne pokušavam. Pogledajte malo što se u svijetu događa. U koliko je samo staračkih domova ušao virus? Vi sad mene zovete nakon godinu dana i želite me okriviti za nečiju smrt. Vi, baš vi gospodine, stavili ste meni metu na čelo. Pucaju na mene sa svih strana.
Tko puca na vas i kojim oružjem?
- Ne puca nitko iz oružja, šalim se. Vi svi koji ste pisali o tom slučaju pokušali ste plasirati ideju da sam ja kao član HDZ-a direktno ubio te ljude. Pa nije ih ubio HDZ nego virus.
Mi vam nismo stavili metu na čelo nego smo objavili seriju istraživačkih tekstova u kojima smo iznijeli relevantne dokumente iz kojih proizlazi da dom kojim vi rukovodite najmanje pet godina krši zakon. Je li se nešto u međuvremenu promijenilo?
- Pa vi stvarno niste pri sebi. Kako možete miješati 2015. godinu i virus? Kakve to ima veze s ičim? Mislite da protupravno natrpane sobe nisu bile uzrok bržeg širenja virusa? Neću uopće više s vama pričati.
Zašto?
- Želite mi prišiti krivnju. Meni, domu, radnicima...
Ako vaša ustanova nije učinila propuste tko onda jest? Zašto DORH provodi istragu?
- Ne znam ja tko je kriv.
Je su li krivi NZJZ i Željka Karin koji na vrijeme kao epidemiolozi nisu izašli na teren?
- Pitajte njih. Ne želim više pričati o tome. Pišite što hoćete. Preporučio bih vam samo da se pogledate u ogledalo prije objave članka.

U petak će se navršiti točno godinu dana od one mučne noćne evakuacije pod policijskim rotirkama u splitskom Domu za starije i nemoćne u Vukovarskoj ulici, piše Večernji list.
Hrvatska je tada bila u tvrdom lockdownu, znanstvenici su smirivali javnost, ljudi su u trgovačkim lancima mahnito kupovali brašno i toaletni papir. Svaki naš građanin znao je koliko imamo zaraženih i preminulihriječ "cjepivo" tada je zvučala nadrealno i apstraktno.
A tih dana koronavirus je ušao u splitski Dom za starije i nemoćne u Vukovarskoj ulici, među najranjiviju skupinu. U tom domu je u nekoliko dana preminulo 18 štićenika od izravnih komplikacija bolesti COVID-19.
Slučaj iz Splita ubrzo je poprimio nacionalnu dimenziju pa se brzo otkrilo kako je ravnatelj spomenutog doma u županijskoj ingerenciji, Ivan Škaričić, diplomirani arheolog, HDZ-ov operativac i bivši dugogodišnji gradonačelnik Omiša kojeg je Ante Sanader kao tadašnji splitski župan smjestio na funkciju ravnatelja.
Kad je osoblje posumnjalo da je virus ušao među štićenike dogodila se već spomenuta evakuacija. Snimke policije, hitne pomoći i specijalaca kako mršave i blijede starce u dekama iznose iz soba, obišle su Hrvatsku.
Ivan Škaričić tada je pred televizijskim kamerama izrekao rečenicu koja još uvijek ozvanja u glavama obitelji preminulih. "Malo je eskaliralo", kazao je Škaričić i zatim je do daljnjega isključio mobitel. Na teren su ubrzo izašle inspekcije koje nisu pronašle nepravilnosti iako su dokazane i objavljene u medijima.
U sve se stoga uključio DORH, a njihova istraga, kažu, još uvijek traje.
Škaričić je otada izbjegavao medije, a sada je odlučio progovoriti za Večernji list. Razgovor prenosimo u cijelosti.
Gospodine Škaričić, uskoro će biti godinu dana od tragedije u domu na čijem čelu vi stojite. Pa što? Osjećate li se odgovornim za smrt 18 štićenika?
- Zašto bih ja bio odgovoran? Pa je li vidite što se sve u svijetu događa? U Hrvatskoj imamo 7000 mrtvih od pandemije, a vi mene pitate jesam li kriv za smrt nekoliko staraca.
Kako možete uspoređivati današnju situaciju u kojoj imamo cjepivo i puno više znamo o virusu nego što smo znali u vrijeme kad je u vašoj ustanovi preminulo 18 ljudi? Nitko vas ne proziva zato što je virus ušao u starački dom nego zato što smo upravo mi u Večernjem listu otkrili barem 5 nelogičnosti ili propusta.
- Ne razumijem što želite kazati. Je li se osjećate odgovornim ili ne? Zovite DORH i policiju. Oni rade te izvide još uvijek. Neću ja pričati o tome.
Zašto pokušavate opravdati svoje neupitne propuste sa žrtvama koronavirusa u Hrvatskoj?
- Ništa ja ne pokušavam. Pogledajte malo što se u svijetu događa. U koliko je samo staračkih domova ušao virus? Vi sad mene zovete nakon godinu dana i želite me okriviti za nečiju smrt. Vi, baš vi gospodine, stavili ste meni metu na čelo. Pucaju na mene sa svih strana.
Tko puca na vas i kojim oružjem?
- Ne puca nitko iz oružja, šalim se. Vi svi koji ste pisali o tom slučaju pokušali ste plasirati ideju da sam ja kao član HDZ-a direktno ubio te ljude. Pa nije ih ubio HDZ nego virus.
Mi vam nismo stavili metu na čelo nego smo objavili seriju istraživačkih tekstova u kojima smo iznijeli relevantne dokumente iz kojih proizlazi da dom kojim vi rukovodite najmanje pet godina krši zakon. Je li se nešto u međuvremenu promijenilo?
- Pa vi stvarno niste pri sebi. Kako možete miješati 2015. godinu i virus? Kakve to ima veze s ičim? Mislite da protupravno natrpane sobe nisu bile uzrok bržeg širenja virusa? Neću uopće više s vama pričati.
Zašto?
- Želite mi prišiti krivnju. Meni, domu, radnicima...
Ako vaša ustanova nije učinila propuste tko onda jest? Zašto DORH provodi istragu?
- Ne znam ja tko je kriv.
Je su li krivi NZJZ i Željka Karin koji na vrijeme kao epidemiolozi nisu izašli na teren?
- Pitajte njih. Ne želim više pričati o tome. Pišite što hoćete. Preporučio bih vam samo da se pogledate u ogledalo prije objave članka.
