Ova je godina, po odredbi pape Frane, posvećena svetome Jeronimu, velikom crkvenom naučitelju i prevoditelju Biblije na latinski jezik. Sveti Jeronim, podrijetlom iz Dalmacije, rođen je u Stridonu oko 347. godine, a umro je u Betlehemu 30. rujna 420. Dakle, ove 2020. godine 1600. je obljetnica Jeronimove smrti, i u povodu toga je na svečev blagdan prošle godine papa Frane objavio dokument kojim je odredio da 3. nedjelja kroz godinu bude Nedjelja Riječi Božje.

Moglo bi se reći i u čast svetog Jeronima je proslavljena diljem Crkve u svijetu, no, kako je nakon toga uslijedila pandemija koronavirusa, mnoge aktivnosti planirane u čast velikog Dalmatinca, čiji je blagdan 30. rujna, inicijativom splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana prije proglašen za Dan županije, nažalost morale su biti odgođene zbog više sile.

Tako je otkazano i predstavljanje vrijedne knjige “Sveti Jeronim Dalmatinac”, autora Slobodana Prosperova Novaka, koje se u okviru tradicionalne Verbumove manifestacije Dani kršćanske kulture trebalo održati u foajeu HNK u Splitu prošli četvrtak, 2. travnja.

“Sveti Jeronim je u svakom trenutku bio vertikala Crkve, bio je duh koji je u njezino ime na neponovljiv način spajao nebo i zemlju. Njegov duh bio je Božja kuća na zemlji, pa zato logikom te metafizičke odabranosti već stoljećima u njegovim riječima odjekuju stoljetna nadahnuća svih koji su u Kristu prepoznali spasitelja i koji su zbog takvih nagnuća stradavali. Iz Jeronimovih usta čuju se i danas njihove riječi, čuju se ljekovite riječi, koje su u ovim opasnim vremenima bile duhovna hrana stotinama budućih svetaca i tisućama mučenika, koji su umirali za vjeru koju je taj čovjek tako izravno i jasno propovijedao i koju je opskrbio središnjom njezinom knjigom, latinskom Vulgatom”, napisao je Novak.

Međutim, nadamo se da neće sličnu sudbinu predstavljanja Novakove knjige doživjeti projekt koji je pokrenuo fra Tomislav Glavnik, dugogodišnji licencirani vodič za hrvatske hodočasnike u Svetu zemlju, koji je organizirao da se u mjesecu rujnu u bazilici Usnuća Marijina na Sionu u Jeruzalemu podigne kip svetog Jeronima. I ovaj projekt financijski i na sve druge načine podupire Splitsko-dalmatinska županija.

Kip bi trebao izraditi akademski kipar Veno Jerković, s kojim smo svojedobno razgovarali u njegovu atelijeru u Kaštel Kambelovcu, kad nam je rekao kako se najviše oslonio na onu Jeronimovu uzrečicu: “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac.” Tako je u kompoziciji zamislio kako Jeronim u jednoj ruci drži knjigu, Bibliju, a drugom se kamenom tuče u prsa. U gipsu se to zorno vidi u veličini kakva bi trebala samo da uskoro u Kambelovac stigne kamena gromada iz Pučišća, u kojoj će Veno isklesati svetog Dalmatinca za jeruzalemsku baziliku.

U ovoj situaciji, kad je u prvom planu sve s koronavirusom, i kad iz Nacionalnog stožera zadnjih dana prozivaju nas u Dalmaciji kako nam raste broj zaraženih brže nego u ostatku Hrvatske, ne preostaje nam drugo nego se pozvati na našega zaštitnika svetog Jeronima i smjerno kazati: “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac.”

Ova je godina, po odredbi pape Frane, posvećena svetome Jeronimu, velikom crkvenom naučitelju i prevoditelju Biblije na latinski jezik. Sveti Jeronim, podrijetlom iz Dalmacije, rođen je u Stridonu oko 347. godine, a umro je u Betlehemu 30. rujna 420. Dakle, ove 2020. godine 1600. je obljetnica Jeronimove smrti, i u povodu toga je na svečev blagdan prošle godine papa Frane objavio dokument kojim je odredio da 3. nedjelja kroz godinu bude Nedjelja Riječi Božje.

Moglo bi se reći i u čast svetog Jeronima je proslavljena diljem Crkve u svijetu, no, kako je nakon toga uslijedila pandemija koronavirusa, mnoge aktivnosti planirane u čast velikog Dalmatinca, čiji je blagdan 30. rujna, inicijativom splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana prije proglašen za Dan županije, nažalost morale su biti odgođene zbog više sile.

Tako je otkazano i predstavljanje vrijedne knjige “Sveti Jeronim Dalmatinac”, autora Slobodana Prosperova Novaka, koje se u okviru tradicionalne Verbumove manifestacije Dani kršćanske kulture trebalo održati u foajeu HNK u Splitu prošli četvrtak, 2. travnja.

“Sveti Jeronim je u svakom trenutku bio vertikala Crkve, bio je duh koji je u njezino ime na neponovljiv način spajao nebo i zemlju. Njegov duh bio je Božja kuća na zemlji, pa zato logikom te metafizičke odabranosti već stoljećima u njegovim riječima odjekuju stoljetna nadahnuća svih koji su u Kristu prepoznali spasitelja i koji su zbog takvih nagnuća stradavali. Iz Jeronimovih usta čuju se i danas njihove riječi, čuju se ljekovite riječi, koje su u ovim opasnim vremenima bile duhovna hrana stotinama budućih svetaca i tisućama mučenika, koji su umirali za vjeru koju je taj čovjek tako izravno i jasno propovijedao i koju je opskrbio središnjom njezinom knjigom, latinskom Vulgatom”, napisao je Novak.

Međutim, nadamo se da neće sličnu sudbinu predstavljanja Novakove knjige doživjeti projekt koji je pokrenuo fra Tomislav Glavnik, dugogodišnji licencirani vodič za hrvatske hodočasnike u Svetu zemlju, koji je organizirao da se u mjesecu rujnu u bazilici Usnuća Marijina na Sionu u Jeruzalemu podigne kip svetog Jeronima. I ovaj projekt financijski i na sve druge načine podupire Splitsko-dalmatinska županija.

Kip bi trebao izraditi akademski kipar Veno Jerković, s kojim smo svojedobno razgovarali u njegovu atelijeru u Kaštel Kambelovcu, kad nam je rekao kako se najviše oslonio na onu Jeronimovu uzrečicu: “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac.” Tako je u kompoziciji zamislio kako Jeronim u jednoj ruci drži knjigu, Bibliju, a drugom se kamenom tuče u prsa. U gipsu se to zorno vidi u veličini kakva bi trebala samo da uskoro u Kambelovac stigne kamena gromada iz Pučišća, u kojoj će Veno isklesati svetog Dalmatinca za jeruzalemsku baziliku.

U ovoj situaciji, kad je u prvom planu sve s koronavirusom, i kad iz Nacionalnog stožera zadnjih dana prozivaju nas u Dalmaciji kako nam raste broj zaraženih brže nego u ostatku Hrvatske, ne preostaje nam drugo nego se pozvati na našega zaštitnika svetog Jeronima i smjerno kazati: “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac.”

Ova je godina, po odredbi pape Frane, posvećena svetome Jeronimu, velikom crkvenom naučitelju i prevoditelju Biblije na latinski jezik. Sveti Jeronim, podrijetlom iz Dalmacije, rođen je u Stridonu oko 347. godine, a umro je u Betlehemu 30. rujna 420. Dakle, ove 2020. godine 1600. je obljetnica Jeronimove smrti, i u povodu toga je na svečev blagdan prošle godine papa Frane objavio dokument kojim je odredio da 3. nedjelja kroz godinu bude Nedjelja Riječi Božje.

Moglo bi se reći i u čast svetog Jeronima je proslavljena diljem Crkve u svijetu, no, kako je nakon toga uslijedila pandemija koronavirusa, mnoge aktivnosti planirane u čast velikog Dalmatinca, čiji je blagdan 30. rujna, inicijativom splitsko-dalmatinskog župana Blaženka Bobana prije proglašen za Dan županije, nažalost morale...
